Tucked in the northwest corner of Cook County, suburbs such as Hoffman Estates, Palatine, South Barrington and Schaumburg vary widely in personality and composition. Schaumburg, the largest in population, is home to Ikea and Woodfield Mall, the largest mall in the Chicago area. Palatine, developed on a wooded marshland, comes in at a close second in size. Hoffman Estates, while smaller, is the most densely populated of the four suburbs and is home to AT&T's Midwest headquarters and Sears Holding Corporation. South Barrington, tiny in comparison, and arguably the most affluent in the area, is home to the famous mega church, Willow Creek Community Church.
Heavy traffic can double or triple commute times, so area locals know to check the highway reports before leaving home. Normal drive time into the city from this area is about 30 minutes via the Interstate 90 tollway. An easy 20 minute drive will take residents to O'Hare International Airport.

Property Ratings at TGM Park Meadows
TGM Park Meadows will be the hardest apartment I ever leave. If I was not moving to another state, I would stay here another few years, no question. While this complex may seem expensive to some, this location in Schaumburg is ideal. We are 5 minutes from every major shopping center, 10 minutes from restaurant road down Meacham, no more than 20 minutes from multiple major medical providers, and less than 45 minutes from downtown Chi or distant suburbs because we are right off 355. We lived for 2 years in a 694 sq/ft 1BR with no garage space. Our apartment feels twice as big as our previous 900sq/ft because of how well-designed it is, and I rarely remember having to search for parking. The staff is courteous, available, and interested in the happiness and safety of their occupants, from leasing with Jen, Jocelyn, and Natalie to maintenance. Every issue I had was met with a swift resolution, and my occasional mistake as a tenant was met with understanding. During the winter, they handled snow like a well-oiled machine, and in the warmer months, we enjoyed well-maintained landscapes on all sides. I have many more good things to say about TGM, but I will finish by saying simply that... If you are on the fence, lean this way. You won't regret it.
Do not rent at TGM Park Meadows. There are severe issues that the management team has been very ineffective at fixing. The biggest issue has been the squirrel infestation. Six months ago, squirrels had gotten into my ceiling via a hole in the roof overhang on my porch. I submitted several service requests about it and it took them weeks to address it. And after it was addressed, it was not repaired properly, because there was still a hole where squirrels could squeeze through. And now they are back and management is still slow at responding and are dismissive of the issue. Meanwhile the squirrels are about to break through my ceiling. They have mentioned that it is an issue at other units as well. Additionally, I have had issues with the hot water going out and the heat failing, which needed repairs. Do not rent at this complex.
these people are absolutely heartless. they WILL renovate ur apartment WHILE YOU ARE LIVING THERE from 9-5. they will not compensate you in any way for it because they claim "you are still free to be in the apartment during the construction". Its LOUD AS HECK! not livable and a huge inconvenience. What if you have a pet? They want you to lock it in whatever room they wont be renovating that day from 9-5 and if you work and leave ur pet at home alone during that time? well good luck. Lots of people are working from home now because of covid, so what do they say about the construction preventing you from work? Or what about if you work the night shift and sleep during the day? I was smugly told "its in your lease that we can do it so its not our problem". They suggested I use some of my personal hard earned VACATION TIME FROM WORK for the three days if its "an issue" but they WILL NOT wait until you move out because they dont want it to cost them 3 days of renting the apartment out after you leave for the construction of the renovation. They will also jack the price of ur apartment up after they renovate it when ur lease comes around again. The apartments are in a good location but not worth the price or hastle. Ive never heard of anyone doing this kind of crap and I will NEVER rent from a TGM anything ever again. Fair warning, do not move here. Go somewhere, literally anywhere else.
Great location. Apartments are very expensive for the small size. The current renovations are nice, but still don't justify the raise in rent. Only big perk compared to other complexes in area is the garage access, but realistically can rent a townhome for cheaper. They are now charging pet rent even for residents who moved in prior to pet rent being in place, normally I would expect to be grandfathered in when renewing lease. Dog park is a joke. We were looking forward to this perk, but the gates are constantly broken, no lights for night, it is always muddy, trash never emptied. They recently added benches to the dog park instead of fixing what is already there. Maintenance staff has always been great - super friendly and helpful. Not a horrible place to live at all, but definitely pricing people out and would expect much more for the price.

I have been here for a little under a year and love it so far. We have had a few minor issues in our apartment that were all handled in a timely manner and the maintenance staff is so friendly and great. The office staff have always been friendly and get to know all the dogs that come in. In the apartments, we cannot hear anything from our neighbors! It is fantastic! They can be blasting music or a movie and you will hear it in the hallway when you walk in the building, but as soon as you enter your apartment it is peace and quiet! The complex also frequently holds events for residents with food, prizes, etc. which is really nice. The only two minor complaints are that rent is a bit high and the dog park isn't always well taken care of. As a dog owner, the dog park was a big selling point for moving here. Sometimes the trash bins in the park will be overflowing and not emptied for days, there is no lighting around for when it gets dark early in winter, and because the grass is all torn up, it is REALLY muddy. It would be nice if that was better taken care of or if one of the tennis courts were reserved for dogs as there are many people here who wish they could let their dogs run free in a fenced in area without needing to give them a bath every time.

Thank you for giving TGM Park Meadows an excellent review! We're delighted you're loving our quiet, peaceful atmosphere and thoughtful, efficient service as well as our fun community events. We appreciate your suggestions for how we may better maintain our pet area, and we encourage you to drop by our office at your earliest convenience if you would like to further discuss them. We're grateful for your insight and will keep up the good work to continue to make you feel at home here in the future.
Everything here is outdated. The apartments smell god awful, especially when people are cooking strongly scented foods. Finding a parking spot is extremely difficult, during the week I always have to park a block away and walk to my apartment. You can also hear everything your neighbor upstairs is doing, for example even when they sneeze. The gym doesn’t even have one of the most important necasaties: a power rack. So good luck trying to bench and squat at a smith machine. Most of the people here are disresctful including the staff. I truly would not recommend this location to someone, you are much better off finding a different location.

Dear Resident, we appreciate you making us aware of your concerns. Our management team strives to maintain a comfortable community and up-to-date amenities. Please take a chance to visit us at the office so we can further discuss how we can improve your living experience with us. Again, thank you for providing your honest feedback.
I've been renting here for over 2 years. The office staff is wonderful, very friendly and helpful. It's pet friendly, and I've never found there to be an excess of pet waste (as I have experienced other places I've rented in the past), people are very good at cleaning up after their pets. The amenities are fantastic, clean, and well kept (pool, fitness center). They frequently organize events for people in the community to get to know each other, which is great if you've just moved to the area. The maintenance staff is amazing as well - every request I've submitted has been handled quickly and professionally. Very happy here!
The apartment is great. Location, service from maintenance or front office, noise levels, in-unit washer/dryer, all plus more are just awesome!! Its a quick walk or bike ride to the mall and right off of hwy 53, close to 90. 45 mins from downtown.
Great complex for those with dogs. Lots of walking paths & well maintained lawns with convenient dog waste disposal stations (several public parks nearby as well). Apartment design is comfortable and up-to-date--carpets are stain-resistant. Closets are quite large (lots of additional storage space). Friendly and understanding personnel for any issues (dog chewed up door). Only possible issue is airplane noise, which can be quite loud.
I love living here. My building is a little older than some a few miles away but the community beauty more than makes up for it. Completely surrounded by green grass, beautiful tall trees and big HUGE flowers everywhere you look. It feels like you are living in a picture perfect setting all year round. Even when it snows it looks like a Norman Rockwell painting! My apartment is about 990 sq. feet and has a very traditional lay-out. I like that since it makes it easy to place furniture. I have a formal dining room and a nice big patio. My community has a 24-hour gym, a jog path, bike rental, and the absolute very best thing is the dog park for my little pup Misiu. He absolutely has the best time and it saves me on fees from the local parks. I think my apartment feels so much like home and this is why I give it 5 stars!!
Located within walking distance to one of the largest malls and one of the largest forest preserves in the Chicago-land area, and minutes from a major Interstate interchange makes this the perfect location in the northwest Chicago suburbs. The amenities here are wonderful and everything is beautifully maintained. The staff are always friendly and available and willing to help with anything. Love this place and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking in the area. I have lived here over a year and a half without a single complaint.
I have been living at Park Meadows for a year and I can't say enough when it comes to the staff. I have never come across a group of people who care more for their residents. Any time you come into the office they are right there with smiles on their faces and a helpful nature. No concern you have is brushed off and they address it right away. I mentioned the drum in my washing machine sounded a little loose the next day maintenance came over and checked it out. Most of the people who work at the complex either reside there or have resided there in the past so they are a part of the community not just "working for a paycheck". The apartments are well maintained this includes the grounds, and buildings right down to the appliances in your apartment.
I love this place! Although the rent may be slightly higher than the other apartment complexes around here, the amenities MORE than make up for it. The leasing management is VERY helpful, and the maintenance staff is not only very responsive, but seems to go above and beyond. For those people with pets, I can't think of a better place to rent from. LOVE this place!!!
I just moved in to this apartment complex. I knew this would be the place I wanted to live from the moment I met the office staff. Jen was so wonderful in finding just the right building and apartment for me. Since then all the girls had been most helpful in helping to make my move as stress free as possible. The apartment was spotless when I moved in along with all the amenities, ample parking and beautiful, well kept grounds. I am so glad I choose Lincoln Meadows to live at.
