Property Ratings at The 211
The fire pit and barbeque hasn't worked since I moved in. Now they shut down the media room. My vehicle got stolen from out front. Homeless come in alot there is no on site security they only check in once or twice a day.
No Hot Water: Throughout the time I've been living here, my tub has NEVER produced Hot Water. I put in a work order earlier this year, MAINTENANCE TOLD ME THE PROBLEM WAS FIXED! they just said I had to run the water for 10-20 minutes to warm up. When you have to get going to work, there's no time to do that. So the water has been lukewarm mostly. I found out the water never turned Hot because I ran the tub water for 30 minutes to an hour and it never turned Hot. So I made numerous complaints which made maintenance them investigate this matter themselves, one of the guys tested the water in the sink another tested it in the tub. The tub water NEVER turned Hot. I've also spoke to some of the other residents from the other floors, they also said that there's been issues with their Boiler for over a year. There have been multiple emails sent out for Water shutdowns within the complex. Maintenance also informed to me if you live in the Fourth floor, you're the last to receive any warm water. No Grocery Store Nearby - There are restaurants in the Fremont Street Experience area which are expensive and a few convenient stores but no grocery store such as a Albertsons, Smith's, Walmart, etc. No essential apartment components - No full size refrigerator, no medicine cabinet, no oven. The tub is very small and the toilet is next to the front door. Life is Beautiful Festival Inconvenience: At the end of September every year, the Life is Beautiful Festival is held Downtown in which the Fremont East areas is sanctioned and which shuts down streets and bus stops nearby which makes very inconvenient to travel. You have to ride a shuttle just to get home. There's also no parking available during this time because the entire complex is boarded up. Homelessness in the area: There are a lot of people who are homeless who loiter around outside of the complex who often sneak in and sleep in the stairwells. I've had to call security multiple times for this. Very Slow Elevator: the elevator operates very slow which was very annoying. Laundry Room Issues: Everytime I go to the laundry room, there's one extra machine that doesn't work. Fire Alarms Going Off Often: the fire alarms are very loud, going off all of the time, so be prepared to be woken up in the middle of the night multiple times a week.
I love living here, the whole downtown aspect and walking to work is great! I love the small town living I also haven’t had an issue with the staff everyone has been a big help since I got here ??
Big bed bug problem here. Water constantly shut off. Fire alarms in the middle of the night several times a year even in 2020. Not an “old problem” like front desk says. Washers, dryers, gym equipment not properly maintained and likely to not be fixed at all or after a long time being out order. Too much for amenities that aren’t delivered. My hotspot is better than the downgraded WiFi internet here. Can’t use it on smart tvs or any devices and the upgraded service is no better. The “Cable” is antenna only, channels change everyday. Property mgmt only cares about occupancy and not managing current resident concerns. Send an email or check back later attitude. Close early whenever they want. Plenty of places a hundred bucks or more in the area that are better maintained properties and attend properly to their tenants. Don’t move in here. Low quality standard of living. Can’t wait to move out.
Don’t do it! I lived her for a month and it was so bad I took the loss and broke my lease and got out of there. Not only is it super small, but you can hear your neighbor use the bathroom while your other neighbors dog freaks out when a toilet is flushed. Worst of all was the staff. I’ve never met a more horrible, awful, uncaring, rude bunch of people. And bed bugs and roaches run this place. I also have seen homeless people sleeping in the stairwell
Do not move to the 211. First, I have no hot water. The management offered me the chance to transfer units, then I got bed bugs and had to throw away all my belongings.
I moved into my unit on August 22 and I can honestly say the entire staff are very professional and nice. I would recommend 211 apartments to anyone would like a piece of mind and great neighbors.
just moved in. Very nice staff and modern living. Love the fire pit and jacuzzi. safe. maybe a bit small , but if its just you then its great.
Property Manager at The 211, Responded To This Review
I am so glad to hear that you love your new home! We will strive to provide you with excellent customer service, thank you for your review. I wanted to mention- we have an awesome resident referral program. Friends and Family make great neighbors!
this is beyond a crooked apartment, cops are always here for unruly residents. My experience here has been horrible my air condition is leaky which caused my to slip and go through one sheet of the windows glass. They said they would fix it right away which hasn't happened instead i was served with a letter choosing not to let me renew my lease. I have had homeless people outside of my window. The front staff gives me a card for a security service asked the recent homeless to move which he didn't and the security just drove off and the homeless person stayed put. I finally had a enough and had to call the police and tell them that I thought I saw a weapon on him. Keep in mind this isn't the first time someone was outside my window it has happened around 8 times. Two of the people were trying to peak in which my guess was they were trying to see if they could break in and steal my personal goods. Also, I had my cousins girlfriend come here frequently to visit and she was getting harassed to do a backround check even though she wasn't sleeping here or living there. Which tells me that management doesn't want you have family or friends visit. Not to mention just walking the hallways and the smell of marijuana constantly as you walk through the hallways and the smell comes into my apartment which bothers my nose. Last but not least there was a gentlemen that came into the apartments which was thought to be a rifle but turns out to be a airsoft gun. And also recently a sex offender got into the building and got into a girls apartment. Stay far away from this place.
When you first move here it will seem great until the fire alarm goes off multiple times a month and after midnight. They will shut the water down half of the day multiple times a month. People who live here trash the public space and steal from staff and residents. Parking is horrible and assigned parking is not enforced people steal your spot all the time that you pay for. They let their pets poop and pee in the hallways, stairwell and porches. Your cable will shut off multiple times and internet will not work ever and they will give you the blues anytime you have to call Cox Cable. Do yourself a favor and don't do it the place is too small, and not worth it. Also the AC unit smell horrible even if you change the filters even the new ones. Water damage in the ceiling they don't care runs down the wall when it rains. What else can I say it's a chic and terrible place to live homeless people living behind the building. Cars getting broken into, people getting attacked in the back alley, windows block no sound from the outside. I think I have said enough for you to get the picture
