Property Ratings at The 2900
I write this as my unit is currently 81 degrees inside in July. We called the emergency line and they said they couldn’t do anything about it.

Hello Connor, thank you for taking the time to share your experience at 2900. We're sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your unit's temperature. We take these concerns seriously and we will make sure to follow up with our maintenance team to ensure your issue is resolved as soon as possible. Please feel free to reach out to us at leasing@hpi2900.com or (405) 292-4442 to discuss this matter further. Thank you.
For the first year I lived here, it was tolerable; despite a few pests and maintenance issues, it's quality matched it's price enough to compel me to resign my lease. This second year, however, has been beyond stressful as it's become inscreasingly apparent that the main office and maintenance workers do not communicate enough, and you have to complain about something MULTIPLE times to be taken seriously (if something needs replacing, you will have to prove it either by picture proof or having the same issue needing to be fixed multiple times). Even when you specify an issue in the resident portal, it's quite obvious that they either don't receive the description and photos portion or just don't care to look at it. The main office is extremely difficult to deal with, and honestly isn't worth the trouble if you're a busy person. If you are a student, living here will stress you out more than it helps you despite how close it is to campus and the amenities they offer.

Hi Allison! We feel badly that you are not happy and would like to make your experience here enjoyable. Customer service is our priority and we will work diligently to ensure your happiness. I am not sure what specific issues you have had or items that you needed to be replaced, but we do not require a picture for anything. If you had damaged something in the unit, you will be responsible for that. Anytime a resident has a maintenance request, you can put that request in through your resident portal. Maintenance then gets to it as soon as they can usually between a couple hours to 2 days. All 2900 staff are here to help all of our residents! If you ever need anything else or have any other issues, feel free to call the office at 405.292.4044 or email live2900@assetliving.com and we would LOVE to help!!
Honestly I did not have a large issue with this apartment complex until recently, I understood that I was getting what I was paying for and this was one of if not the most inexpensive apartment complexes close to OU. However, recently they fined me $50 for having bags of recycling within my apartment quoting the lease about cleanliness and sanitation and refused to even attempt to help negotiate this fine. I am part of the Armed Services and only recently got out of boot camp so you can rest assured that my apartment was clean and practically spotless with exception to the 3 bags of recycling next to my door. They still fined me and when I asked how should I go about recycling in the future if they are going to fine me for how I was currently organizing my recycling they told me that either I was to drive to OU on a daily basis to drop off recycling or just say screw the environment and throw everything away. I WOULD HIGHLY ENCOURAGE YOU TO LOOK ELSEWHERE FOR AN APARTMENT especially since this apartment complex actively discourages recycling even if it is within your own apartment.
Property Manager at The 2900, Responded To This Review
Hi Joshua! I wanted to reach out as it states in your lease you are to not have any trash or bags by any entryway. This is to prevent any pest control issues and it is a fire hazards. This also includes large amounts of boxes. We do not discourage recycling at all :) However, it is stated in your lease. If you have any other questions, feel free to give the office a call at 405.292.4044 or email live2900@assetliving.com!
they tried to force me into a unit infested with roaches thankfully i contacted my lawyer

Place was filthy and not functional when I moved in and repairs took forever. It has been over a month since we moved in, and some of the requested maintenance has still not gotten done. With other maintenance requests, the office has been slow and unreliable in their response times and repeatedly parrots the same ineffectual lines about how they are waiting for something to get done (I haven't had a working shower in 3 weeks). The only redeeming quality 2900 has to offer is that they're one of the cheapest dumps in the area.
Problems included: -They didn't even have an apartment for us when they said they would during move-in -When they found one, all of the keys were wrong and it took all day to get it fixed -AC, washer/dryer, dishwasher, and plumbing constantly broken or malfunctioning *AC was barely functioning during our summer move in, it took weeks for them to (temporarily) fix it *washer was out for weeks because apparently maintenance doesn't work on weekends -Maintenence was rude and would rarely fix the problems despite numerous maintenance requests *they told us to turn on our fans (we had multiple running) and that the AC worked despite our thermometers reading 80 degrees in the apartment *our dryer was making screeching noises you could hear from outside, but it took at least 3 maintenance requests and a call to the office while the noise was going for them to believe us and fix it (and when they did fix it, they didn't reconnect the dryer vent -Apartments dirty on move in -Office staff rude, lazy, and unaware of problems with maintenance *they argued with us about every problem instead of investigating the issue and often told us they were too busy despite us giving them days or weeks to fix something -Electric bill overages in the hundreds most months -Staff entered apartments without notice -Construction workers hired by the complex during renovations messed with our belongings on the porch -If they told us they would call back, days or weeks went by without contact -Furniture and flooring falling apart We weren't problem residents, we paid everything on time, we sent maintenance requests through the proper channels, we were always courteous to staff, but nothing made living here bearable. Honestly, my roommate and I came from the Commons, so we thought Ugreens (now known as 2900 apts) would be an upgrade. The Commons was kind of dirty and bug-infested, but they had good management and decent maintenance. I would 100% choose to live there again before I ever came back to Ugreens. We moved out two months ago into a nice apartment where the office staff and management know us by name and are amazingly kind and understanding, but we're still battling Ugreens over charges. I know this is a cheap place to live, but no complex should be this poorly run.
