It is home to top-rated restaurants, terrific shops, and the legendary Broken Spoke, a dance hall where toes have tapped since 1964. This venue has played host to a variety of country music legends when they were just starting out, including George Strait and the Dixie Chicks.
South Lamar sits just across the Colorado River from Downtown Austin, spanning about three square miles. The neighborhood’s main thoroughfare, South Lamar Boulevard, is lined with a broad range of shops and restaurants, so find your South Lamar apartment near this strip if you enjoy dining out frequently or like to be a short distance from shopping.

Property Ratings at The 704
I was taking a look at an apartment in the area this past weekend that was less than impressive. We looked at the building next door and thought "this looks really nice, lets just pop in" and met with Ava who was so sweet and gave us a quick tour despite their schedule being booked up for the day. We started on the roof deck which was so stunning and as a work from home person, I could see myself up there on a nice day just to get out of the house to get some stuff done. Then we stopped by the gym, business area, and one of the two pools which all were so perfect. Then we get to the main event, the apartment itself, which was so spacious, gorgeously laid out, brand new appliances, everything you could ask for in a unit. It's also so close to a bunch of restaurants, bars, shops, a nail salon. accessible parking and guest parking. It really feels too good to be true. The price isn't unreasonable but may be out of my range for now. I'm hopeful i can make this work. I can't thank Ava enough!
