Property Ratings at The Abbey at Regents Walk
The staff here is amazing! I have been looking to rent my first apartment, and I came to tour a few months ago and at the time there were no 1 bed 1 baths available but The leasing agent tiffany called and said there was an opening so it took it and I was very clueless on the whole process but she helped me with any questions I had! I have yet to see the actual unit I will be staying in but hopefully will get to view it soon, the property itself is nice and I love how to get to your apartment you have to go inside just adds a bit of a safe feeling. Last I checked it was fairly clean but I'm sure they keep it maintained. I can't wait to move in !

Thank you for the 5-star review! We are glad you are pleased and we thank you very much for taking time out of your day to give us a high five!!
Great location, good management, AMAZING maintenance crew, ample parking, dumpsters emptied often, reasonably quiet, nice appliances, washer and dryer in unit (2 bed 2 bath), and a pretty view. What more could you possibly want? We've been here a little over a year and pretty much want to stay forever. To previous reviewers: If your apartment here has roaches, put in a request for pest control on the resident portal. They sprayed *the next day,* and we've never seen another roach.
We have roaches in our kitchen, and we can’t get rid of them. Pest control comes to spray but it doesn’t help. They don’t do preventive sprays with other apartments near mine unless I call and beg them. The roaches are driving me crazy, and I can’t even go into my kitchen at night for fear I will turn on the lights and roaches will be covering the floor. The walls are super thin above me. My upstairs neighbors’ walking sounds like stampeding in this apartment. The location may be convenient, but it’s not worth it.

Valued Resident, Since you posted anonymously, I am unable to reach out to you, but would like the opportunity to speak with you regarding your post. I apologize your experience has been unpleasant, and plan to make it right. Please call the office at (205) 942-6515 to address your concerns with the management team.
I work in the city of Homewood, and needed an apartment as soon as possible. No other community was willing to tour me based on limited availability, but the staff at Regent’s Walk showed me a 2 bedroom model (all the 1 bedrooms were full). After viewing the model, I knew this was the place for me! Amy, the manager, promised to keep me updated if there were any cancellations. I was pleasantly surprised when she called and said there was a place for me! I’ve now lived here several months and am pleased. My work orders are quickly addressed, maintenance is awesome, and the customer service is stellar. Combine that with the location and price- you can’t beat it!

Valued Resident, Thank you for your kind words! Our residents are the most important people in our world, and it is heartwarming to know you are happy in your home. We're glad you are here!
While apartment hunting, I visited The Abbey. I was a walk-in (another apartment website didn't notify them that I was coming, even though I filled out the contact information) Amy, who had just returned from a vacation, graciously assisted me. She answered my questions, took me on a tour of the complex, and showed me one of the apartments. The environment is quiet and there is a lot to do within walking distance, like visit Patriot Park or the Farmer's Market on Tuesdays. At the time of my visit, they were at 97% capacity which I interpreted as a high degree of tenant satisfaction. I was in the market for a 3br, which were all filled, and I don't live there now :( , but I wanted to make sure that I shared my experience.

WOW! Thank you so much for the positive feedback! If you are still apartment hunting, we have a 3 bedroom that will be available this week. We would love for you to join our little community!
I am a graduate student and my wife is a medial researcher. We had to move here on short notice and were assured the Abbey was safe and quiet. The past several months we have had the tenant below us playing his music at all hours of the night and day. It is literally constant. And the noise level is not inconsiderate. When he cranks it up (which is often) it literally vibrates our floor. We complained and were told, "We cannot do anything without a police report." We are leaving and trying to spare others what happened to us. P.S. They can't even process checks in a timely manner.
I visited Abbey at Regents Walk on Saturday and the office staff was GREAT, the property was BEAUTIFUL, and I fell in love with the Location. Thanks for making apartment hunting an AWESOME EXPERIENCE. M.B.
I have lived at the Abbey at Regents walk for several years and can honestly say that the property is clean it all times!!!! Not only that, maintenance is quick to fix anything that is broken once notified, management and office staff are AMAZING and always there to help and accommodate the residents!!! I love that we have police officers living on property and frequently patrol the area. And even better................. every now and then on my way to work, the entire staff is at the end of the complex handing out breakfast!!!! It truly is a community and not just another apartment!
On a positive note, this apartment is in a good location. It met us at a time that we needed to spend a school year in an apartment as we shopped for a new home. The roaches are thick. We sprayed every few weeks, but would still see cockroaches most nights. Anytime anyone around us moved out they surfaced even more. Ick We could hear conversations plain as day through the bathroom walls. Every step made by our neighbors above us was audible. Once we purchased our house and moved out, we had a major water leak in the AC unit due to something being clogged (we went 3.5 days away from the apartment and this occurred at that time). The problem was not handled very effectively and mold grew in the baseboards and walls. Yes...fuzzy mold in some places. The apartment staff called it mildew, and they eventually came in and simply painted over it. The baseboards are rotten, but they are painted now. We requested to be let out of our lease a couple of weeks early so they could fix things properly as we were not living there anyway. We were denied. There is no way I would have lived there with my newborn for a month waiting on them to fix the mold only to find they simply painted over it. I am merely leaving this review because I am a review reader and hope to warn families with allergies and/or small children about the likelihood of mold and cockroaches. I have not seen a roach since the last time I went by the apartment. For that, I am thankful.
The Abbey at Regent's Walk is a quiet apartment complex nestled in Homewood, Al. You are close to eateries and grocery stores. The grounds are always kept clean and staff make you their #1 priority. They also have a pool if you ever want to take a dip and a residents lounge. It's by far the best apartment I have ever lived in.
They look nice on the inside and outside, but the apartments shake, the neighbors (in the apartment complex and even the ones in houses across the street) are sometimes very loud, there are bugs everywhere. Before we even moved a single box in there were bugs in the kitchen. And they are still there even after the pest control sprays and we spray. The leasing office Is nice and helpful, and maintenance is nice and timely. But sometimes you have to have them do stuff more then once. They had to put new pipes in out kitchen sink because the ones in there before weren't long enough. We feel rent is a little high to be sharing our apartment with unwanted guests.

We recently visited this community and loved the location. It is close to shopping areas as well as downtown. The apartments are beautiful, the grounds are well kept, and there are plenty of parking spaces. The staff answered our questions with complete knowledge of the complex, they are friendly and very professional.
