I have lived at the property going on 1 year, 6 months. The water is turned off daily with very short notice. I went out town and came back to a whole new unfinished balcony and no idea it was being done. I received no notice. Then I received a notice on Friday, they were coming to renovate Monday and to move everything from under the sinks and kitchen, that’s fine and all but I had prior engagements so had to rush to do it Sunday night. I’m working from home with banging and interruptions. Flood after flood. Even a mold problem. My 2 yr son finding screws left on the floor from “renovating”. My rent had went up $1000 more in my month living here. I have been patient but my patience is running thin. I will not be renewing here.
Please, if you’re looking to possibly move here, read this first. Run as far and as quickly as you can from this complex. We didn’t even get to finish our lease because of a giant list of horrific issues, not limited to: leaky shower, water being turned off practically daily for “renovations”, when there was water it was never hot, MY CAR WAS STOLEN right out the lot (and the supposed cameras are non-existent), a wasp infestation that we called them about repeatedly. We were vacuuming up live wasps throughout thanksgiving and Christmas, 3-5 a DAY, and the pest control person somehow came 3 different times without doing anything useful until the last time. Finally, as we’re moving out, they replaced the toilets in the bathrooms and the water in mine wouldn’t stop running. I put in 3 different repair requests, because each time they said it was fixed, I’d come home and could still hear it running as soon as I walked in the door. When we moved out it still wasn’t fixed. And the owners have the ACTUAL AUDACITY to raise the rent on this garbage fire of an apartment complex!! It wasn’t worth the rent we were paying in the first place! I hope if any prospective tenants see this you take my advice and avoid this place like the plague.
I recently leased here and I must say Gloria is the bomb.Com!!!! She and the staff helped me out so much. The property was clean and very quiet.
The Abbey at WillowBrook is close to eveything. My job, church, school and family. The staff Angelica and Alicia are the best. Warm & Friendly. The price you pay for the amoumt of space is spot on. They now have a new manager who is involved, and I believe she will handle business.
I came to tour the property a few weeks back and Angela , the manager was really sweet and engaging!! I was not able to take a look at the models, but I was given great information . While I am not looking for a while to move, I do have this community at the TOP of my list! I highly recommend .

Since moving into here for a year, (1) my air conditioner has gone out twice, (2) the hot water has gone out from "maintenance" at least 12 different times, (3 ) water has leaked from the apartment above me causing mold to grow in our apartment, (4) the tire and antenna has been stolen from my truck, (5) the bolier room is so loud, it interrupts our sleep, and (6) nothing has been done regarding my complaints of my neighbors stomping above my head until 1 AM. We haven't been the only residents to have experience with theft. We know several residents that have had their homes and vehicles burglarized. There is an online portal for the complex that residents use to communicate with one another that has several instances of this (I would provide the link but the site accessible by credentials only). When we went to the front office to inquire for video footage of the parking lot, to see who stole our tire we were informed that the cameras have been broken for some time. A flyer was sent out by the front office asking residents to stop parking in their parking spaces and to pick up after your dogs. These are completely reasonable requests. However, disposable dog bags are not consistently provided. When we asked the front office to provide bags, the young woman stated that many residents use their own. Why do I pay pet rent? Then, while walking my dog, the sprinklers were turned against me by one of the employees. My dog likes to go inside the apartment complex before going outside around the block. While he was marking one of the facilities persons yells: Why do you let him go there? Me: Because he wants to?! He then turned on the sprinklers while he saw me and my dog standing there! After I told my partner he went to go track the guy down to take a picture of him so that there could be no mistaken identity. They got into a verbal altercation because the guy didn't like my husband taking his picture. When I reported this to the office they dismissed this as a misunderstanding and told us we shouldn't go after their employees. He may not have heard me but he definitely saw me. In what culture is it okay to turn on sprinklers on a customer that paid a pet deposit and pays pet rent?! Please don't lease with this company. I'm regretting it everyday but they already have a good sum of my deposits. I plan on moving as soon as I graduate.
Do not move here!!! The Abbey At Willowbrook is horrible. Its nice to look at, but once you live here you being to see the cheap and poor maintenance of the complex and the absolute incompetence of the office staff. My unit, specifically, is a 2 bedroom & 2 bathroom. Upon our move in we noticed fixes such as uneven paint, and our thermostat not reading the correct temperature (its about 10 degrees off), fire stops were not in place, one of the electric burners on the stove doesn't work, and the laundry/utilities closet (which is outside on the patio) was growing mold through the roof, and our light fixture in the utilities closet was full of stagnant water. Since, Oct. 2015 when we moved in, only the uneven paint was corrected, it is now Jan. 2017. We've also had consistent issues with ants, and cockroaches. Pest control does what they can but the real issue is the old complex that is a giant nest for these pests, my vacuum proves to do a better job than the Orkin man. All of these fixes took a bit of a back seat after intense storms during the spring/summer of 2016 took place. We noticed water stains on our ceiling in two different areas, and then on our walls near the baseboard where there was also staining, swelling and separation from the baseboard to the wall. It has taken months, almost a year, but hopefully will be resolved soon. Beware, their "fixes" are pretty much just paint and caulk, cheap and temporary. My most recent dilemma is having my account over drafted over $800. I wrote two checks, that were both misread by the scanner. Both office managers were both so apologetic, blaming the computer because it does most of the work. Which tells me that all they are good for is answering a phone and pushing buttons, and even that is done poorly. They don't take notes, or communicate messages and apparently don't even manually check their deposits. Honestly, after looking at a ledger balance for a one month period, I wouldn't be surprised if their books are never balanced. I've already contacted corporate and they are taking care of the situation, however a check in 3-4 days does not remedy the utter negligence of their office staff. And these are just a few of the experiences we've had with The Abbey. I truly do not feel like this is "Life...The way it was meant to be". We will most definitely not be signing another lease, and I've only just begun to tell everyone I possibly can to look else where.
the Manager Connie is unprofessional, she is rude, and she will not respond to you unless you literally go sit in the office until she is free to talk to you. it takes her somewhere between 2 weeks and 1 month to respond to anything.... and when you ask her why she responds by throwing her boss or her staff under the bus or complains that she is super busy. I went two months without AC, and have had multiple maintenance issues that where never fully resolved, also countless billing issues, I highly recommend looking else where until property management can find a more suiting manager and maintenance staff. its not worth the headache.
I've lived here over a year. And I am happy to say I'm finally leaving this apartment! Recently had too many issues with bugs roaches inside and some other creatures that looked like small centipedes I found them in my kitchen, living room and in the bathroom and also in my bedroom closet. I'm so glad my lease is over soon! Also there is never parking available for tenants it seems there's always different vehicles parked inside, and because parking is not assigned well you can't do anything about it. I had moved here and parking was always empty but now is a different story. For the area that it is in they should be able to provide tenants with assigned parking. Oh and also I was told the pool would be open all year round but they lied! Very disappointed leaving this apartment with a bad image.
i like living here. Very quiet and not to many bad neighbors. It's perfect for me because I'm literally walking distance to work.
