Property Ratings at The Aberdeen
We moved our daughter in and the staff was extremely accommodating with the unloading process to make things go quickly and smoothly. Apartment was clean and ready to go as promised!!
I have lived at the Aberdeen for all three years I had an apartment during my undergrad degree at UW-Madison and I can honestly say this was a place I LOVED to call home. Kelly and the rest of the management team are unmatched in the Madison area for responsiveness and kindness. They truly take care of the apartments and the people in them. You get so much included in the apartment (in-unit laundry is a HUGE bonus) and maintenance takes care of any problems almost right away. All three years I spent here were wonderful and I would highly recommend living here to anyone looking for a cozy, furnished, convenient place in downtown Madison!
When I look back at my time in Madison, I think of all of the friends and memories I made in that city. Things that went well and some that...didn't. In that time, I lived in the Aberdeen for 3 years and a 4th going in and out of its halls as a visitor. It was the perfect location for attending classes and Madison festivities. And while I can't always say I was the perfect tenant, I can say that I had perfect management. I could contact Kelly with an issue and it was always solved within a day or so--this goes for emergency issues as well (trust me). Over the years, I could pop into the office, not just with concerns, but to chat with the owners and management. It still is something I feel comfortable doing today! You won't find this kind of personal interaction or attention to detail anywhere else in Madison. Truly, this place is a home away from home.
I am currently living in The Aberdeen for my fourth consecutive year. Living here during undergraduate and now graduate school, I can tell you that the building has been a great environment to study in. I have never had an issue with too much noise. That being said, the building is meticulously cared for. Every weekend the owner and his wife can be found in the hallways vacuuming. There are a variety of apartments with different floor plans and up-to-date appliances; even your own washer and dryer! If I had a maintenance request, it was taken care of either same day or the day after (depending on the request). Aberdeen is perfectly located: with State Street super close, the capital a 10 minute walk away, two grocery stores to choose from (each a 5 minute walk away), and bus stops a block away. Kelly and Justin who work in the office are so kind and helpful. The fact that Aberdeen brings treats for residents (cookies, apples, pies, and Kringle) is definitely an added bonus. I have enjoyed living in Aberdeen every day and after only a short stay you will feel the sense of devotion that this family-run apartment brings. I highly recommend making this your next home!

Lucky for us you got a good recommendation 4 years ago from a friend! We're so glad that you've called the Aberdeen home for so long. We'll certainly miss you next year.
I lived in the Aberdeen Apartments my junior and senior year in college and had a great experience both years! I first discovered the Aberdeen when I was a freshman in college after attending a friend's gathering at the apartments and knew I had to live there as soon as I could. Centrally located in the heart of downtown Madison on the corner of W. Gorham and University Ave, the Aberdeen is only a few short blocks from campus buildings and favorite bars and restaurants. The building is quiet and tenants are very respectful of the space and each other. Each apartment is fully furnished with leather couches and arm chairs, bar stools, coffee tables, end tables, beds, mattresses, dressers, and good-sized closets. All units have a balcony, some with sweeping views of downtown, Lake Mendota, the Capitol, and campus. Wifi, over 500 cable channels, and AC are all included too! The management team is wonderful. They know each of their tenants personally and they are friendly, approachable, professional, and incredibly attentive and helpful. They also serve cake, pastries, cookies, and other treats in honor of various holidays and celebrations throughout the year. Move in and move out were a breeze - they provided rolling carts and were there every step of the way if we needed anything. At the beginning and end of each semester and year, they also placed donation bins for any items to be given to charity. I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience at the Aberdeen Apartments and highly recommend them!

We are so glad that you made the Aberdeen your home for your last 2 years at the UW! I enjoyed getting to know you and your roommates over those two years.
I spent two years living in the Aberdeen and have nothing but good things to say about it. The owners and managers do a fantastic job keeping the building clean and making sure that tenants are happy (they even supply candy, cake, and Kringles from time to time). If there ever was an issue with the apartment (which was rarely) management promptly addressed it. Internet was free and fast (which is something you do not see very often)l The location is second to none! It is both close enough to state street and campus to be convenient but far enough that you don't hear all the noise that comes with living in a college town. I thoroughly enjoyed my two years at the Aberdeen and have absolutely no regrets.

I'm so happy you chose us as your home for 2 years. We try our best to address any issues quickly. I'm glad that was your experience here.
The Aberdeen is hands down the best place to live. I’m going on my 3rd consecutive year living here, and can’t imagine living in any other apartment. The owners personally take care of the building- they even come in on the weekends to vacuum! The managers take the time to get to know their tenants, are extremely accommodating and understanding, and are just great people in general. They will provide you will candy, cookies, Kringle, and lots of great chats. If the people who work here haven’t already won you over, the rooms will really give that extra push. Every room is fully furnished with stylish furniture that’s in great condition. The building is clean and pristine and ready for you to live in. They give you AC for free! And soon they will give you extremely high speed internet for free! Honestly, what more could you want? (Nothing). They have all you need for a legitimately reasonable price. AND they have a puppy. No other apartment offers you a puppy. Aberdeen is my home, and I’m so glad I’ve had the opportunity to walk through their front doors for the past few years.
