I am a former resident (Nov. 2013 - Aug. 2019) for almost 6 years. When I moved in everything was great. After about 2 years, the apartment complex was sold to a new management company and everything went downhill from there. The office staff became a revolving door. The staff would not answer the phones or return voice messages. I had to go to the office to get issues resolved. This is very inconvenient for someone who works 8-5 as the office is closed by the time I would get home from work. I moved out in August 2019 and was told I would have a fee for breaking my lease. I was given an amount of what that fee would be. I was moving out of state and I gave the office 60 days notice. On Sept.1st my access to my online account was removed. I (wrongly) assumed that the office would send me a statement for a final bill as I had left my new address with them and my phone number and email address has not changed. They never did. Just this week I received a letter from a collection agency with almost double the amount owed that I was quoted by the office staff. The business practices by the office staff and management team is unprofessional at best. Based on my experience I cannot recommend this apartment complex to anyone. It has the appearances of a well kept complex, but management is absolutely terrible!
Staff is friendly and helpful. I accidentally parked in my spot without my sticker and got towed so watch for that! Was my fault. Nice apartments!
Absolutely love my new place.The office staff has been very helpful with the move in . It’s very quite here the property is very clean .
The staff here is tremendous! Thus far the best customer service ever. Cristina and Cynthia are always available and always willing to go above and beyond for their residents. I would highly recommend living here as it’s a very nice and quiet area.
Savoy of Garland would be a great apartment complex if it wasn't so poorly managed. I've lived here 9 months, and we've been through at least 4 managers. The leasing office is a revolving door, which makes it all the more difficult to get problems solved. Here are two of the worst problems I've had to deal with: (1) They require a non-negotiable $25/month valet trash fee. When I moved in that included trash and recycling, but 1 month later they removed recycling without telling anyone. Since that time they refused to refund any of my monthly fee, and have made empty promises about restoring recycling, but haven't taken any real action to remedy the problem. (2) They overcharged me for prorated water and wastewater for months. When I asked to see the master bills and allocation formula, which is a tenant's right under state law, they ignored me. Eventually we discovered they were billing me for two people instead of one. They still haven't paid back the money they owe. Those are just the worst of a litany of issues I've had to deal with at Savoy. They closed the pool over the 4th of July weekend without any notice; they don't keep the gym clean; they've accepted packages for me before but failed to notify me; and I've had maintenance issues ignored for over a week. The management is incompetent, and the company puts profits over residents. I recommend you chose another place to live, and avoid this headache.

I love the location of the complex, I-30 and 635 are easy to access, not to mention not far from Lake Ray Hubbard. Recently got new management, even though the staff are always courteous-even maintenance always smiles! The only downfall.. I wish they did social activities for the residents. Just to give it an even more friendly atmosphere..
