Property Ratings at The Addison at Tampa Oaks
Julius is an amazing leasing agent and person in general! He made the application process as smooth as possible and patiently walked me through the requirements and payments needed. Upon approval, Julius checked in with me a week prior to my scheduled move in date, to see if I needed assistance with movers, which I greatly appreciated. Moved in May 6th and absolutely love it! All units are modern and up to date with a nice size screened-in balcony. The dog park is very large and has a water station, that my dog absolutely loves. Pool area is very quiet and pleasant with warm water. The Add generally feels like home and is a very peaceful and quiet environment, couldn't ask for anything better!
Moved in about a year ago. No regrets in the apartment. Coming from a big house was a big adjustment. Very quickly it became a home. The Leasing Team is great! Very professional. Have not needed to submit a maintenance request since I moved into my unit. However, they are friendly and polite. Trash is picked up like clock work. Fast and courteous! I would give it five-stars if the rent was free!
I will start by saying that the leasing staff made our move from out of state as seamless as possible. However, since a few months into our lease, it has been one thing after the other. We cannot wait to leave because we are extremely uncomfortable! It started off with dogs barking constantly in the courtyard area which echos and could go on for HOURS… that has been resolved but ONLY because the resident has moved out. Now we have an ongoing roach issue and the leasing office has lied before about pest control being in our apartment while I have been working from home. I have submitted numerous requests via virtually and verbally… emailed the manager (with proof) who claims she checks her messages but didn’t respond… you would think treating an apartment 9 times in two months would be a sign to change pest services or do something different. It took for us to “pop up” at the office for them to treat surrounding apartments. Only for them to say, that they can’t go into units with minors… but isn’t that the point of providing notices so people can make arrangements? How else would you do preventative maintenance? Just not do it? At this point, they just tell us what we want to hear regarding “finding the source”.. but we could careless because we’ve been going through this issue for more than a year. We’re beyond done and they seem to have a hard time “following up” unless we go to the office.
I stayed at the Addison for 3 years and i absolutely loved the convenience of being 3 min from the highway and work! It’s a secret hidden gem! The property manager is by far the most amazing manager I’ve ever had to work with! My friends and family loved visiting me and I always got complimented on the style of the apartment. It’s definitely worth every penny! The pool and property were always kept so clean. I loved loved loved my stay. I recommend this community! It’s worthy of 5 stars!
Nothing good about this apartment, very noisy, cheap appliances.
Property Manager at The Addison at Tampa Oaks, Responded To This Review
We're disappointed you feel this way about our community. Our team works each day to provide a comfortable home for our residents, and we would like to learn more about your experience so we can better assist. Please feel free to reach out to our office at your earliest convenience if you would like to expand upon your review. Thank you!
First impression was it’s a nice place with nice amenities. First week going to sleep a roach flew on my chest. They claim to test dog poop left around to fine owners but yet the poop still builds up. The gym bands have been broken/cable machine in disrepair for months. Lights go out and front gate breaks often. From experience if you have a problem there’s a good chance it won’t be fixed much less even addressed.
We have now lived at the Addison for one year. We are leaving the property to move closer to work but I can confidently recommend living here after our full experience. There were some hiccups in the beginning, most I suppose can be chalked up to it having been a brand new property. The office staff that is in place now has been incredibly accommodating to any issue that has popped up. They are friendly, professional, and attentive. Having lived in various apartment complexes in multiple states, I cannot stress enough how vital the leasing staff's role in making life run smoothly is. The apartments themselves are spacious and well-built with quality materials. We were on the top floor and so didn't have issues with noise. The amenities are very nice and we'll kept and they have worked to improve the quality of the social events which we have really enjoyed. Personally, I will miss the "breakfast on the go" and "wine and paint night" events tremendously. 4/5 because there aren't many things in the area that I would consider walkable to. That being said, it is conveniently located near 75 so driving places isn't a problem.
I have had sugar ants on 2nd floor for past months and 3 support requests to resolve still without resolving the outside or inside problem. The sugar ants are all around the perimeter of the outside of my building and directly below my apartment and when manager called he said the problem must be because I have food in apartment.
I would suggest living elsewhere. I can hear the persistent and loud footsteps of the person above me that wake me in the night. My favorites are the constantly shifting furniture and gushes of sewage from the toilet flushing (while I'm in the kitchen). Honestly, what could you have to move daily? Anyhow, this is not what I would expect from "luxury" apartments. This isn't the typical noise you associate with living near others. I've lived in apartment buildings and dorms before and this takes is above and beyond what a resident should have to deal with. Most recently, I sent management an email about vacuuming at 1 in the morning. I didn't want to send another email about my other neighbor playing music late into the night- pick your battles. Here, you'll have a couple. Fortunately, other residents complained about the music so that doesn't happen as often. My guests have been so outraged by what they've witnessed that they've attempted to talk to the resident to no avail. Apparently the leasing office has talked to this person, but nothing has changed. Management has graciously suggested that if I wish to relocate to another apartment, I can pay $1,000 and start a new lease. Wow, I'm so lucky! It also only took one week of repeated calls and an email to get this information. Much of the parking now is covered/$45 a month which has made availability worse even though construction is further along. I end up parking at other buildings. It's not awful, it's just not convenient especially since the parking was free a month ago.
