Property Ratings at The Anchor
This people will not wait a second to take you to court if they think you owe them money. I paid all 6 months of rent until my move out date, then the new owners bought the building without looking at the ledger to see who owes money or the current balance of the tenants and try to take me to court. I had to take days off to prove that I make the payments and get a hold of the old property managers to give me the ledger. I am not sure what kind of business practice they have, but it creates so much inconvenience for tenets. Very rude and inconsiderate people! Still waiting on my deposit and overpayment and it’s day 45 as of today. The only good thing about this place is the manager sassy, she is so nice and helpful.
save your money, time and sanity by NOT moving here. incompetent management that never answers the phone, unanswered maintenance requests dating back 2 years, the WHOLE complex is infested with either Mold, Bugs, Rodents, the ceilings are leaking and falling in, the walls are literally breaking and they don’t do ANYTHING about it. dont let the CHEAP flooring that lifts and basic renovations fool you.
Theres never anyone in the office and I’m still waiting on repairs from the storms a few weeks back.
I have been dealing with a problem with rodents getting into the attic above my apartment for over 6 months now. They claim there is "nothing they can do" because if they patch up the vents that the rodents are getting through, then it will "cut off air circulation" so we have been having our sleep interrupted for MONTHS due to rodents running and scratching above us all hours of the day. Not to mention, there was a dead squirrel in the attic that left a horrendous smell in the master bedroom and it took maintenance FIVE DAYS to retrieve it. Management would not hire pest control to come out. The attic door has no type of lock or anything securing it, so on windy days, it will fly out of place!!! There's so much wrong with this apartment. When it rains, one of our walls basically deteriorates and they have tried to "fix" it twice by sanding and painting. But then of course the same thing will happen again. Our windows also do not lock. Management is so nonchalant about everything. Not to mention there's only one employee in the office, one maintenance man, and the actual property manager is never anywhere to be found! This property is a trainwreck so unless you are in DESPERATE need of an apartment, take your money elsewhere.
In my apartment there has been an excessive amount of bugs being found. I know every place will have its fair share but finding spiders every week is ridiculous and we do not keep our apartment dirty at all. Also we just recently had a mouse sneak it’s way in some how. They do have holes in the walls that the mouse could have gotten through. So my husband told the office we have a mouse and we need an exterminator to come get it and patch up any holes so others can’t get in. When he told them that all they say is “we’ll see”….wat do you mean you’ll see there is a mouse in my apartment. So when they said that I just had my dad buy some glue traps and me and my husband caught it ourselves..and we haven’t gotten a call back from the office about the exterminators.
If you are looking for a true non-smoking apartment don’t move here although it says it in the lease and they tell you. Unless you want to smell weed and cigarettes all day everyday. Management has made it know that they don’t care. Also occasionally you’ll get to see diapers on your back porch for aesthetics. All of the outlets are not 3 prong. (is it not 2021) Last but not least the office does no do a good job of keeping records of your rent payments. New owners and new updates but you’ll still deal with the same mediocre staff from previous.
I don’t know how my unit passed inspection but it was terrible.. the paint job was not smooth. They painted over dirt and holes and did not sand down the walls before painting to make the paint even. They painted over my vent and left the dust there so there’s dusty paint on my vent. The vent in my bathroom had all dirt in it and they just tried to push all the dirt down and thought we wouldn’t open it to make sure it was clean. And there’s holes in the doors. And let me not forget this I was gonna have my dad sand everything and repaint it cuz he’s actually a freaking painter and they saying they would prefer for us not to do it.. well if you’re not going to do it why can’t I.. do not choose this place, thank God we’re only staying here for a year.
The new owners have really upgraded these units. The kitchen is great and it is so nice having the washer and dryer hookup in there.
