Dubbed “the Heart of Georgia” due to its central location and Southern hospitality, Macon is approximately 90 minutes south of Atlanta. Recognized for its renowned musical history, Macon is the location where many artists like the Allman Brothers Band and Jason Aldean got their big break. After all, Macon is the city “where soul lives.”
Just like its passion for music, Macon believes in top-notch education. This city is home to a number of college campuses, including Mercer University and Middle Georgia State University. This family-friendly city boasts excellent public schools as well. Residents and visitors alike adore Downtown Macon for its small businesses and historic sites including restaurants, services, and specialty shops like Parish on Cherry, serving up the best gumbo in the city.
The Big House is a major attraction that celebrates the musical career of the Allman Brothers Band, while the Hay House and Cannonball House represent the city’s architectural history.

Property Ratings at The Ansley Apartment Homes
I have some information to share about The Ansleys for anyone considering moving here. Although the location is nice and the floor plan is functional, there are several issues you should be aware of before making a decision. Firstly, the units are not soundproof, which could be a problem if you value your privacy and peace and quiet. Secondly, many of the residents are messy and do not have any consideration for others in the community. Additionally, the appliances are of low quality, and the courtesy officer is not reliable. In the past, this complex was top tier, but since 2020, it has deteriorated significantly. Unfortunately, the company has not taken any steps to enforce certain rules or renovate the units to improve the soundproofing. Having lived here for almost eight years, I can confidently say that the cons outweigh the pros, and I, along with my referrals, will be leaving The Ansley. I have given it a 2-star rating based on the aforementioned issues.

We are sorry to hear that we didn’t meet your expectation. We have very high expectations at The Ansley and will continue to strive to improve.
Christmas day pipes busted on 3rd floor. Management didn't contact me. I returned home the next day to find my trash cans, buckets, vases all over my apartment to catch water. Carpets soaked, water down walls and ceiling, water in light fixtures and power kept tripping in power box. The humidity so high in apartment that condensation dripping down windows and doors. Wednesday, returned and they still didn't have a professional company out to remove water out of carpets. All they did was put a dehumidifier, that you and I can get for a hardware store. Won't allow me to break my lease or help move me to another apartment. I'm deathly allergic to mold and mildew, which has started to grow in apartment. I've been displaced, no family and left with no where to go.

I have been living here for almost a year and it has been the worst decision I have ever made. There’s roaches, and our neighbors are loud all hours of the day and night. I filed complaints and they say there’s nothing they can do. It looks nice until you live there for a month.

I sold my house and moved into Ansley and I am so happy that I did. The Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The grounds and apartments are well maintained. The maintenance team are top notch. I have a private garage for my car and the gym is well equipped.
We’ve been here since December && have had zero issues . Management is kind && maintenance is awesome . Everyone legit minds their business .
I have lived at Ansley Village Apartments for a few years now and I am very happy with the new management team. When I call the office they always are friendly and cheerful and the maintenance staff is really great as well. I am glad to be apart of this community, and would refer anyone looking to move to come here.
BEWARE! ANSLEY VILLAGE / SOUTHWOOD REALITY DOESN'T CARE! Southwood bought these Ansley Village Apartments 2 weeks after I moved in, and it's been the worst place I've ever had to deal with as far as fees, maintainance, or overall upkeep. Southwood is a corp out of NC, and they do not care about anything except money.
When viewing the property the management team was nice and open. After moving in, one of the staff members became rude. The only respectful people are the maintenance crew..very helpful. The rooms are big but it's not worth it when you have poor management like that from the staff. I came home one day to a fine written out for a bag being left out the door. I was inside of the apartment at the time. NO one knocked. The bag wasn't even outside of the door longer than an hour. But there are bikes and trash under the stairway that no one has cleaned probably in a year. I haven't seen anyone clean the breeze way since I moved in in November. The next thing is the smell of the place. Every time I walk out of my apartment I smell animal poo. No one is keeping the yard clean nor or the pet owners being held responsible for cleaning up after their pets. EVERYDAY it smells when I walk outside. I can not enjoy the patio from the smell. There are also stray cats walking around. Trash sometimes have to be held on the inside of your apartment because the big garbage disposal breaks down and looks a mess. Then I asked to pick up my package one day because they don't allow the drivers to deliver to your door and had to deal with smartness from the management staff. Management: Is it a big or small one. Me: I'm not sure. Mag. (brings out package) Me: Is that the only one? Mag: I dont know.. that why I ask you is it a big or small one (why couldn't you take your time and look?) Me: It should be bigger than this one..maybe one more Mag: (goes and look bring back package) Me: I reach out to grab it. Mag: Throws it down (like she did not notice my hand) Rude!! Rude! If I knew how Amazon packed the package then I could have answered that question. I have NEVER experience anything like Ansley and will be moving! I read a lot of reviews and did not listen. I wish I had of listen. You want people money but then treat them like no one.
I just got off the phone with their representative. She was not knowledgeable on the property and could not answer my questions properly. You should not work there if you cannot answer simple questions about the property. That's just the way you do things is not an acceptable answer for why you charge certain fees or why there is a price range. Further, she was in a rush to get off the phone and tried to hang up in the middle of me asking a question but what she did not realize is she failed to hang up and when she thought she was off the phone, I heard her say to her co-worker "Oh my God," he said what, she said my name, and proceed to talk about me. I will not be moving here.
I just recently moved here (5112) and have to say that Ashleigh really makes you feel so welcomed! The grounds are beautiful and it's in a central location by everything you can basically imagine with just a walk or bike ride away. The package deal added to rent is nice (although I do not watch TV, my guests will def. love it!) and the amenities are awesome. I haven't had any issues but I will say parking is a bit tight, though that just shows how many people want to stay here.
This was my first time moving in my own place and I wouldn't of chosen a better place. I have been staying out here for about 6 months so far and I haven't had a problem since. The staff have been nothing but very nice and very helpful especially Erica. She is very good with answering any question or concerns you may have.
The whole staff is professional and friendly. Ashleigh was especially helpfully when It came to questions about the apartment. It's a clean up kept property with a professional maintenence staff.
The entire staff is professional and courteous at all times. The layout is great, no extra unusable space and I rarely hear my neighbors. The grounds are well kept and the Cox Cable is the best in the south.
Ansley Village is a very nice place to live. The staff here is very pleasant and professional. They have a great open door policy. Maintenance is A1 considered with the 1 or 2 problems that I have had, they fixed it in a nice and timely manner.I would recommend anyone to give the place a visit if you are looking for a great place to call home.
The space is large and I love that it comes with its own computer. I do not like how the gym equipment has been broke since I moved in and the entrance gates are frequently broken as well.
This apartment complex has great potential. Good Pool. Great floor plans, gated, and a gym. Although the equipment needs to be updated. But management keeps making really bad choices. There are giving new rules all the time and almost every month the entire complex is charged a late fee and I have to go into the office to get it corrected. FYI. I have never been late on paying my rent. They also have a terrible parking policy which they instituted after I moved in or I would not have. Each apartment is given 1 space no matter how many adults you have leased to. So if you have more than one driving adult they have to park in the visitors section even though there may be 3 to 9 spaces available beside their apartment at any given time. Poor management in my opinion. And over priced as the amenities are going down hill and not being replaced. They also advertise that cable, water, and trash are included. Oh there are included in your bill, but it is added to the rent not included. And you shouldn't set up auto billing or pay online there is another $35 fee for that.
I haven't lived an apartment since college so it was a stretch for me to move in a complex. With that said: Amenities: This apartment complex has a lot for your buck. They have an exercise room, laundry room, pool with bbq pits, business center, self storage, numbered parking for tenants, dog park, playground for kids, and convenient to I-75 walking distance to churches, gas stations, markets, beverage centers, and restaurants. Great location overall. Price: Coming from up north, pricing is good to me I have a 3 bedrooms, 2 bathroom apartment with balcony for 875. My utilities are $150 total above that. Which includes everything basic cable, pest control, electric, trash, sewer, and water. All electric apartments. Accommodation: The office opens at 10-6 generally. With access online to your tenant portal for maintainence request, payment, and other requests to the complex staff. All pet friendly, no breed restrictions. Beautiful grounds, regularly manicured Customer service: I wish customer service was better. I have had a toilet running since I moved here 4 months ago and they figure since someone came I should be grateful for what was done although it hasn't fixed the issue. In general, they work very well with the tenants. Communication is key and they are open to you stopping pass and talking with them about issues. They are good with deliveries, holding your packages and communicating about what's going on with the community. I gave them a 4 because the trash compactor is often broken, the gates are tempermental, the exercise room needs to be updated because the equipment is outdated. The dog park is small and cleaning up after your pets is not enforced. The tenants are careless at times in how they park, drive throughout complex, often too fast, use community areas and cleaning after their pets. Pest control and cable you are paying for and I personally have a cox bundle that I transferred and feel like paying an extra $40 for basic cable and 4/7.99 for pest control and not getting regular pest treatments isn't fair to the tenants who can't break a contract to live here, it's milking the residents. I still have bugs after the pest control guy leaves and he sprayed in open areas that are easily accessible by my dog. In sum, if your not picky like me then this is your place. It's clean overall and the deposit was low to move-in. Friendly staff, convenient to everything, and cost effective. Lots of bang for buck
I am a college student that chose Ansley Village because it was convenient for my roommate and me. At first we thought that it was home to many college students, however we found out that was not the case. Ansley Village is a nice place with fair prices. The only downfall to Ansley Village is that we continue to get more and more residents that are making this place questionable. Many of the new residents are a little sketchy. My roommate and I keep to ourselves. If you are looking for a good group of neigbors this is not the place.
My apartments are great! Has a pool and bbq area, gym, car wash laundry room, business center, and movie room! Besides how small our 1 bedroom is it great!
