Property Ratings at The Apartments at Goose Creek
They lock you in then if you try to get out on a month to month lease, charge an additional $250/month. Cable is spotty, overtaxed if too many students are on....Telecom. TV channels poor programming, lots of 'fake news' channels. DNA testing of your dog, & big fines for excrement finds. Nice dog park. Maintenance crew is a plus & always helpful. Parking situation pitiful.
Apartments are very nice but there is no where near enough spots. Only assigned one spot close to your building. Any other cars or visitors have to park 100 yards away. They keep saying they are looking into adding more parking but absolutely nothing has been done about it in over a year now.
The apartment is spacious and new. The office staff are very kind and helpful. Nice landscaping and well lit areas. If you're in the right area you can have a nice view from your patio. Their gym is small for the amount of people that live here but every time I went there was always a treadmill free for me to use or the place was empty. We're about 15 min away from shopping areas and I feel safe here. I do see a parking problem if you have more than one vehicle. Some things you might want to think about before moving here are: the free way is just beyond the walking trail so you will hear the constant whizzing sound of cars and trucks all day and night, the apartments are enclosed in a building and when people come in the building, most do not hold the doors to the building and sometimes the doors to their apartments, so with 12 apartments to a building, well you can imagine the sound of heavy doors closing all day except late at night, as for the noise in the apartment,if you are on the first and second floor, it is bothersome to say the least. You can hear lights being turned on, more doors opening and closing, toilets flushing, water running, footsteps, and if your top floor neighbor has a dog ( I see some have 2), big ones, well you can imagine what their walking and running sounds like. I try to be very conscious of the noise I make for my downstairs neighbors and cringe whenever I drop something on the kitchen floor. Within the apartment grounds it's pretty quiet. Most people seem to just stay indoors. Inspite of the noise, I feel comfortable living here.
Just recently tried getting a rental from them. They inform you of 200$ holding fee that is non refundable( is written on form but they won't tell you about it) after 72 hours. Well the application process you do online has a glitch. (how convenient) Please be careful people.
Best place I've ever lived! Love the office staff and maintenance crew. Our apartment is spacious and we have an incredible view.
Ridiculous. They allow two cars per apartment but assign one spot. Unless you wanna pay 150$ a mo extra for garage, taking up free parking spots. Poor lighting at night makes for unsafe walking after dark.
When we signed our lease, we were informed that there was enough parking for every unit to have two parking spots. Since we were the first ppl in our building, we didn't think that we should actually count the parking spots. We realized quickly that there was only enough parking for each unit to only have ONE parking spot. Sure, you can have private parking if you are willing to spend the extra money on a garage. When I arrive home after work, I am having to park too far away for my own safety. There is an open field that buts up to a forest area that Denstock(the investment company that built these apartments) has landscaped regularly. It's plenty of room to build another parking area because there isn't even a side walk to enjoy the landscaping. I called Denstock to inquire about building another parking lot back there. I was laughed at and even mocked by that lady who answered the phone. She transferred me to another ladies voicemail. You would be right in assuming that she never called me back. The only options I was given was to either rent(spent extra $$) a garage or move. Management sent out flyers stating that they would assign ONE parking spot per unit & other vehicles would have to park elsewhere. For some of us, it's a quarter mile away from the unit we PAY TO LIVE IN. It's an excuse for them to fill the open units. This is unacceptable if you have a family with more than one vehicle & don't have the extra $$ for a garage. You're to buy our TV services through Dish Network ONLY. We begged to keep our Direct TV that we really enjoyed having, but were made no other option for television. Local channels, HD, and other channels go out regularly. If there is a rain cloud in the sky, we loose connection. It's aweful! Internet is even worse. If you enjoy having the convenience of fast internet that never goes out(like we did before we moved here), then don't waste your time. Our internet goes out WEEKLY. We have gone day after day with no internet service. Even though the property has even reimbursed a one time connection fee from the provider, it's not enough to have terrible internet. We didn't have ANY of these problems before we moved here. Sure, the view is beautiful. The facilities are beautiful. The price is wonderful compared to surrounding areas. BUT, it's enough to say it's not worth it. And, we haven't even got to the move out stage to find out what hidden fees are going to be assessed.
