Property Ratings at The Apartments at Metro Centre
This has to be the worst leasing office I’ve ever dealt with They are responsive up until you sign the lease. This building is a nice facility but you hear everything below and on top of you I’ve been dealing with banging and stomping for WEEKS maybe even MONTHS they don’t answer they don’t respond to emails They have an attitude when you cal or when you go in person. The leasing office has been non responsive just letting emails sit. I call security after hours but tenants refuse to open the door for them i have not gotten a good night sleep in months. A few residents that are new here have been here less than a month and are breaking their lease or thinking about it, not somewhere to call “home” more like a dorm with a nice ambiance The last review is right, it is not safe either. Don’t leave this building alone after sun down. All types of people wander around once the sun goes down at 6, security is useless.luckily it will get darker later soon.. The ladies in the leasing office truly act like you are bothering them when you call them as if they didn’t apply for the job??!?!?! I literally witnessed a woman who hasn’t even been here a month move out today because of all of this The staff is nasty, the walls are thin If you are a kid with no real job during the week/in the morning this is for you. Move here. Any hard working adult that is looking for peace and quiet at night, when they come from work or even working from home find somewhere else! This is nothing more than a college campus. And to think, this is supposed to be one of the nicer facilities. Look wise it is but this should be for display only. This really could be a nice place if they enforced exactly what their lease says. I’ve email Ashante a month and a half agostill no response. But i bet I would hear from them if i didn’t pay rent on time. Worst leasing company EVER
Their leasing office is great and super nice. Specifically Shantae, the leasing office manager, is a great resource and always gives off a great energy. She is always willing to help and addresses any inquiry super quickly. The other staff are great and any maintenance requests are addressed are also addressed super quickly.
It is so clean and well maintained. The leasing office is literally the best ever. Even our dog loves them! They always give him a treat. It is so safe you can't get in the building without a fob or dinnertime buzzing you in... which living outside of Baltimore makes it feel better. The area is great too you could easily live here with no car... we love it
Love that there are multiple restaurants and shops downstairs. It is very convenient. The leasing staff is very responsive and nice. It can take a second to get maintenance sometimes, but I think they just go by high priority first. Amenities are nice but there are times that the dog area and parking lot aren't fully clean. It isn't terrible though. Overall great place to live and super cute apartment.
I have lived here 4 years, and I absolutely love it. The staff is amazing, they are always very sweet and responsive. They make everything so easy.
I have lived here for more than 6 months but less than a year. The apartments themselves are great. The appliances are new and clean and high-quality. The leasing staff is friendly and willing to answer most any questions, if you take the time to ask. The maintenance staff are helpful and quick to respond to any issue. I feel safe within the apartment itself, and most tenants keep to themselves, except for holding the door or saying "hi" in the elevator. I can hear my neighbors sometimes, but not often, and that includes conversations next-door and some noises above me. The amenities within the building, such as the gym and lounge, are moderately well-kept. The rooftop is probably the least clean area. They could do better. The pool is also not for swimming or wading, contrary to what they may lead you to believe. There is a fenced-in dog park now, but I don't see people using it too often. The area surrounding Metro Crossing is moderately congested as far as traffic goes, but close to several good shops, grocery stores, and restaurants. If you are going to move to an apartment that faces the front of the property (i.e. library and road), you had better like music. Metro Centre itself plays music along the entire street from about 9:40 in the mornings to 8:40 at night. The apartment windows are cheap (mine do not even lock) and will not block the sound completely. It is the same genre of music almost all of the time--current Pop. It is terrible to constantly hear, and if I knew beforehand, I would have requested an apartment that faces the back of the building. Eleven hours of pop music per day is just unreasonable, especially at night. Another negative to the property is the apartment parking lot. You can either park across the street in the huge parking garages, which requires a walk and is completely deserted at night, or park in the back lot, where most people park. However, the back parking lot is trashy, literally. I have driven into parking spaces countless times to find broken glass under me and in the surrounding spaces; I've had fast food trash and bottles thrown on top of my car at night. It is never clean but it is the better choice of the two. Once in a while I see people loitering outside the front of the apartments late at night; sometimes they are groups of teenagers and other times they are just lone men. It is not a place I feel safe walking or being outside at night, especially so close to the metro.
If you don't meet their income requirement of 49,500 don't even waste your time applying they will deny you. They only care about money I'm a grown man been paying all my bills since I was 18 but bc I don't make enough for them they think I'm a risk of not paying my rent...
This community is really just different than everything else in Owings Mills. The apartments are very modern and the city center continues to add shops and great restaurants. The construction is also almost down across the street.
Truly there is no Apartment as nice as Metro Crossing in the Owings Mills Area. I was a little skeptical about the pricing at first and it being a little above the rest of the places I toured but I can tell you after my Move in that it is 100% worth it! The Leasing staff is excellent and they made My move in go very smoothly and I could not be happier. Only thing I have noticed is the construction has been a little noisy but it looks like they will almost be done which will great for traffic and for noise. Looking forward to more new places to eat under my apartments soon though!
There were many issues when we first moved in, but I will say the leasing office has taken steps to resolve many. However, a few problems remain. The amenities are not as nice as they appear. On the roof, the pool was broken for quite a long time. Sometimes the fireplace isn't working and the grill is often dirty and hardy ever works. The AC in the gym has never worked. So unless you want to sweat (and I mean SWEAT), the very nice gym is practically unusable. Not exaggerating, it is currently 85 degrees on the thermostat while I am here. They have tried to resolve this issue, but it's been ongoing for 6-8 months so I wouldn't expect anything of it. Lastly, we were promised a "dog park" upon moving in. Their idea of a dog park is a NON fenced in area of a pile of gravel. No residents use it. Also, no residents pick up after their dogs. So while walking around any grassy areas you always have to be on the lookout. Also, residents often let their dogs use the bathroom in the elevators (not the apartment staffs fault). Overall, the apartments themselves are nice (although walls are paper thin, but that's to be expected). The amenities could use some work. We won't be renewing for a second year.
When looking in the Owings Mills area I wanted to live somewhere that was up to date with the new apartments being built downtown. After looking at the older apartments in the Owings Mills area taking a tour at metro blew my mind. The finishes all around were so nice and it really felt like a luxurious place to live. I have been more than happy living here in my two bed room apartment. The only complaint I have is that sometimes on the weekend it gets a little loud and I do feel like there are some people who should not be living here but I se the management team taking steps towards making this place better! I cannot wait to see how much better metro gets over the next couple months! I also cant wait for eggspectation to OPEN!
I moved here early June and I have enjoyed every moment of it. From the amazing staff and leasing agents to the awesome neighbors this apartment complex has provided a very family oriented experience. In terms of the maintenance and up keep the staff does an exceptional job in maintaining a clean and contemporary look to this establishment. Another delightful thing I will note is the events planned for the residents such as the meet and greets along with the food socials which are always something I look forward to.
This place is amazing, it makes me feel like I am on vacation. The staff is amazing. Ms. Nina was great. As I go through a new life, I realized this is where I belong. Going through a divorce, trying to learn how to stand on my own two feet as a single mother of two, I felt like the weight of the world was off of me, when I step into my place.
Metro crossing mixes luxury and convenience in a modern design for all ages. The property is located across grand central ave from the metro, parallel to two multi-level parking garages and CCBC. The first level or the apartment complex are shopping centers, cafes/eateries, and beauty shops. There are two buildings, for the moment, offering a variety of floor planes. The complex offers 1-2 bed/1-2 baths with a dorm room style set up and barn yard doors in some floor plans. The high light of the complex is the mezzanine that connects the two buildings and serves as a 3 floor lounge. The roof has a gas grill, heated wading pool, and open fire place. The 2nd floor is where the gym and office center is located and the 1st floor of the mezzanine is where the pool table, wet bar, indoor fireplace, and entertainment centers(60 inch TVs) are located. Security is the lease of your worries in this state of the art building that requires a key fab to enter the lobby, ride the elevator, and enter an apartment. Pets are welcome with restrictions to breeds and a dog park is located in the back of the complex for convenience. The community also host The Gathering (food truck event) once a month during the summer which is open to the public as well as sampling events and holiday parties. Perfect for small families, college students, and professionals on the go.
Imagine a new and modern complex that is aesthetically pleasing and located close to, well, everything! In the year that I've had the pleasure of living in my 2-bedroom corner unit, with floor-to-ceiling windows, stainless appliances and Cesarstone countertops, washer and dryer, I've come to appreciate the ease of apartment living. I walk a few hundred yards to catch the to downtown, and close by are a state-of-the-art library, newly constructed community college campus and free covered garage parking. Metro Crossing in Owings Mills has two buildings with architecturally-appealing facades, retail spaces on the ground level that satisfy my cravings for pizza, donuts or sandwiches, and even offers weekly grocery delivery. This pet-friendly community boasts a gorgeous two-story club room, large TVs, a gym and conference room. A spacious rooftop outdoor area offers breath-taking views, a water feature, huge gas grill and lounging area. Basement level clean, well-lit storage rooms, modern mail stations and spacious lobbies with gas fireplaces are amenities busy professionals can appreciate. Two speedy elevators, complete with security cameras, ferry residents and guests with call-box convenience. Security is cutting-edge; the building and specific floors are limited to residents. A porter takes daily care of the common areas, such as mopping the marble lobby floors and vacuuming the hallway carpets. I cannot say enough about the property management staff; they accept package deliveries, send e-mails to notify you that parcels are waiting, and they are helpful and responsive. The staff continually come up with creative ideas to entertain residents and ensure we are kept up-to-date on community events. Outdoor movies, food-truck rallies with live music and pro athlete autograph-signings are just a few of the activities I've enjoyed. Trash chutes handle our refuse and are located on every floor. The area offers restaurants, fast food, shopping of all types within two miles, easy access to I-795, I-695 and more retail space (Wegman's!)is in progress. I suggest you stroll the beautiful sidewalks of Grand Central Avenue, perhaps stop in at the nail salon or treat yourself to a freshly-made donut and coffee before keeping your appointment with the leasing office, open seven days per week. The tour will convince you that you should become a Metro Crossing resident. You won't want to live anywhere else!
I am happy living a stone's throw from the metro, eateries, a state-of-the-art library and a community college. The high ceilings, elevators and welcoming lobby make this place feel like home. Every detail was thoughtfully considered when the buildings were designed. The rooftop deck and barbeque area is a great entertainment space. Loving the gas stove, stainless appliances and quartz countertops in the kitchen. I'm staying; come for a visit and you will too!
I’ve been living at Metro Crossing for a little over 4 months now, and can easily say it’s been great! The apartments are new, modern, and energy efficient. Aside from the many details and amenities you can read in descriptions on the web (which are why I fell in love with the apartment in the first place), the apartments are located in a developing small community which is an added bonus and highlight for me. There are local shops right outside our entrance and more on the way. What’s more exciting is the future of the community as more and more businesses show up and make living at Metro Crossing even more convenient. I had two major concerns prior to moving in. My first concern was the safety of the area, as I had heard from some people that the area wasn’t safe. That is furthest from the truth though, I feel very safe and secure living at Metro Crossing. There is always a security vehicle monitoring the streets and parking garage to ensure that. The entrances into the apartment buildings are locked and you have to use your apartment key to use the elevator. Additionally, some websites I saw said some utilities are included, others said they weren't. I can verify that utilities are not included with the rent. That being said, the cost of utilities is low due to the energy efficient buildings and appliances. Don't have many cons for the apartment, but there are a couple. There is some noise, which you will find in any apartment. You can hear the people above you moving around every once in a while and sometimes some people in the hall. You get used to it though and it's not very noticeable. Living on the front side of the building facing Interstate 795, you do hear motorists throughout the day and night. Again, I’ve become used to the noise and it doesn’t bother me. The second con: You can tell they were put together "efficiently". Some doors don't latch well or are a bit hard to open. There is paint splatter on the counters and cabinets. Minor things, but noticeable. It hasn't bothered us, and if we wanted things to be fixed we could easily schedule a maintenance appointment and have it taken care of in a timely manner. Lastly, I must leave praise for the leasing staff. I joked with them that I would leave bad reviews, but I honestly can’t. Kim, Nina, and Lauren are a great team, and make living at Metro Crossing fun and enjoyable. They are always willing to help out residents and put in the extra effort to ensure everyone is pleased.
The greatest feature about this apartment is that it takes 2 minutes to walk to the Baltimore Metro - opening up residents' access to the entire city of Baltimore. The Leasing office is very helpful and friendly. They made sure that our apartment met all of our criteria for our decision. Our apartment was brand new, never lived in before, and while the appliances and included features are very nice, some of the construction is very cheap and dysfunctional. There is a huge lounge area and a rooftop lounge area. Overall great apartment and I enjoy living here.
I have lived at the Metro Crossing Apartments for 1.5 months. The decision to move here is, by far, the best choice I could have made. I am no stranger to apartment living, and Metro Crossing understands the concepts "quality," "luxury" and "customer service." And the fact that the buildings and units are absolutely beautiful is the icing on the cake. Also, being part of the growing Metro Centre is incredibly convenient. Eateries and other businesses are located on the first floor (with more coming), and we are located literally on the other side of the street from the library, community college, and metro station. And that means we can park in the garages for free (especially convenient if there is impending snow or ice). Customer Service: The office manager, Kim, and the leasing agents, Nina and Lauren, are quite literally the best in the business. That many residents stop in at the office for a quick chat or just to say "hi" is evidence of that. There are numerous floor plans from which to choose. I worked with Nina, who is INCREDIBLE, to decide on a unit. Nina took her time with me, asked me a lot of questions that helped her understand exactly what I was looking to rent, and she really listened. My two bed/two bath unit is perfect. And the fact that the second bedroom has a barn door and three quarter wall (I use it as an office/den) is JUST the extra cool factor I wanted. Lauren is fairly new to the community, and I met her after I moved in, but she is cut from the same cloth as the other office staff, maintenance, cleaning team (all top notch). Kim, the manager, is frankly, the best apartment manager I've ever encountered. If you need anything, from maintenance to ideas for going out in Baltimore, she has the answer. The buildings are new. As such, there is some settling taking place. My unit needed some touch up work (things like cracked grout, paint touch ups, etc). Kim asked me for a list of issues after touring my unit, and then asked me when a convenient time was for the touch ups to take place. She also emailed me with status updates until everything was completed. It's so nice to get information handed to you rather than having to chase it down. Customer Service matters here. The apartments themselves, and the hotel-like buildings, are simply beautiful: dark wood floors, stainless steel, quartz counters throughout, high-efficiency appliances, porcelain floors and tub/shower walls. Beautiful. The amenities can't be beat: A clubroom that is actually used, not for show (all resident events take place there - and they occur often), full gym, and rooftop deck. And the bathrooms and kitchens are simply amazing. Watch a video tour online - what you see is accurate. CONS: The rent is high, but you get what you pay for. I face the backside of the building and there is some minor traffic noise from 795. It doesn't bother me, and I'm incredibly picky about noise. The amazing endless sky view is unbelievable from my floor-to-ceiling windows, though the sun can be pretty strong. I have not yet run heat this year during the day (I leave a window open, as a matter of fact). My BGE bill is half of what it was as my prior residence. Also, there is local construction, but I work weekdays and have yet to hear it. The bedrooms are mostly NOT large, but function as though they are (well-thought out). Not much of a con list. The residents I've met are mostly professionals with high expectations for quality and customer service. Metro Crossing meets and exceeds those expectations. I'm proud to have my friends and family visit.
This apartments are in a great location, you don't need a car & it's in a desirable neighborhood. The downside is they are extremely expensive & the aren't the largest apartments for that price range. Yes you get a lot of amendities but I want my living space to be bigger for that amount of money. Also most of the units don't have balconies & that's a downside for that kind fo money. Yes it's new & fresh & the rooftop pool & deck is awesome but again there are things they could have done better for the price!
Started out great, then all went downhill. Amenities are nice and it's cool with only a few people living here... But with the construction ongoing, it's loud and my car bottoms out going onto Painters Mills EVERY SINGLE DAY. Not to mention that the ENTIRE office staff is completely different from when I moved in 2weeks ago. That's bizarre and I don't care what others say but it really is the staff that can make or break your experience. I've actually met some of their "managing corporate staff" and I was very turned off by the way the woman spoke to the staff when she thought I wasn't paying attention. Don't even think about looking here bc the prices is outrageous and they even tell you your rent will go up next year!! Crazy!

I moved into Metro Crossing Apts a couple months ago and have to say that this is one of the best apartment complexes I have ever lived. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable of the area which helps because I'm new to the area. I LOVE the amenities; like the rooftop sun deck and gym are great, and there’s always parking! The best part is that it’s so secure, to get into the building and to get a floor; as a woman, it’s comforting to feel safe walking in at night. Even though the construction is going on, you never hear it, so it’s like it’s not really there. I love being so close to the Metro station because it has saved me hundreds of dollars commuting to my work in the city.
I apartments are very nice and I think that the community will be awesome when it is finished. However, the prices are very high - compared to other apartments in the area and the square footage, these are over priced. No balconies - why is that? I was looking at another place to move, but I have changed my mind since the square footage doesn't meet the prices
