The towns of Bloomfield and Windsor border the Connecticut River, with Bloomfield directly north of the University of Hartford. This area is rich with history and provides a fantastic, tree-filled setting dotted with historic architecture. Bloomfield is bordered by Penwood State Park and Talcott Mountain State Park, both of which offer stunning views and terrific places for hiking and nature-watching. As the first English settlement in Connecticut, Windsor was settled in 1633. It still features its colonial charm with fantastic historic sites like the Oliver Ellsworth Homestead, a National Historic Landmark dating to 1781, and the Hezekiah Chaffee House, a historic house museum that was built around 1765.
Bloomfield and Windsor are located on the north side of Hartford, and Interstate 91 divides these two towns for easy commutes to downtown, just six miles away.

Property Ratings at The Arbors at Brighton Park
I lived for a year at Early Brighton Park and I am leaving this review now that I have moved elsewhere, mainly for personal reasons related to my commute. The apartments are very comfortable, with renovated wood floors and carpets in excellent condition. Nora and Turquoise are very pleasant people and always willing to help you out. The same goes for the maintenance team. Whenever I needed their help, they solved all kinds of problems in no time. I would have stayed here if the commute hadn't been so long. Thank you for everything!

Your 5-star compliments make us very happy! Our team works hard, so we appreciate you taking the time to spread the word about our community! - The Team at The Arbors at Brighton Park
Although the rental units are nice, the services are the worst. When we moved here two years, the management teams was on their game. Since then we have seen a drastic change in services. This property is not worth the requested price. Although we are going to sign the lease for a third year, this is our last. I'd rather pay a little more for better services at another location. Renter beware! Things are not always what they appear to be.
Slimy people work here. Rent specials are a farce. Said they were offering a cruise when you sign a lease but after they say they ran out of passes. Pool is always broken. Vicious and dangerous dogs live here. They say they restrict certain breeds but Holly the leasing agent will let it slide just to get someone to sign the lease. She will also lie to you about the apartment you’re getting so make sure to see the exact apartment before you sign the lease. Don’t be fooled by Holly and her smile. That personality changes immediately after you sign the lease. Just don’t rent here unless it’s a last resort. This place is awful. Cheap and awful.
The apartments are nice and the staff is nice, but the staff and management are TERRIBLE in how they conduct their business. I wanted a unit with laminate flooring, not carpet, in the living room. It was unavailable until July 1st, so I put down a deposit being told that my unit would have laminate flooring and be identical entire the model apartment that I toured. I then visited another time to confirm I wanted this apartment complex compared to others, re-toured, and was again told that I would have laminate floors and be identical to the model apartment. I came to find out that my unit had a carpeted living room. I raised this concern because of the poor and false communication and advertisement to me about what my unit would have. Management said they would let me know same-day what they could do about it. They then told me “sorry we didn’t get to talk today, we’ll let you know tomorrow.” Then the next day they told me they couldn’t and wouldn’t do anything or accommodate me in any way whatsoever. The miscommunication, delay and lack of communication, and sheer misleading that management takes to get to you reserve a unit and sign a lease is awful. Very nice apartments but not worth the price given the poor business that the management company and staff conducts.
Don't be fooled by the luxury stamp- this isn't a happily every after kind of location. The staff at The Arbors are very good at making you feel welcomed and important- rightttttt up to the point you move in. Then everything changes. The staff enjoy lying to its residents on a daily basis. It's actually quite scary how easy it is for them. Just this past week, due to construction on Woodland Ave- all residents lost wifi connection for an entire day and night. When asking the staff when it would be turned back on- they told us 5pm. Turns out, the wifi didn't turn on until 12am. Then- just two days later, the water shut off on the entire property. Instead of sending out emails letting the residents know, the staff at The Arbors decided it was a smart idea to send out text messages- some of which went undelivered to residents leaving them wondering why they weren't able to take a shower, use the toilet or wash laundry. When the staff was confronted with questions they said they sent out texts AND emails. The lies fall off their tongues as if it's second nature. They said the water would be turned on by 5pm- it wasn't turned on until 11:30pm. My FIRST night living here, after doing a thorough check THAT DAY, my toilet started to malfunction and water was pouring out. Don't bother asking for minor fixes to be done- they will never get done. My point is- it's difficult choosing any new place to live. Before you choose this one site unseen- do your proper research. Check ALL parts of the apartment thoroughly. Demand that all communication is sent through a reliable means. You are paying good money to live here- shouldn't you receive good service in return?
We have been living here for less than a year and overall are definitely not impressed. The apartments look really nice and the property outside is really nice. The pool is nice and can’t beat the location. However, the apartments are incredibly cheaply built. We have had all kinds of bugs from the moment we moved in. Ants, nats, fruit flys, cockroaches, spiders (I don’t mind the spiders compared to the other disgusting bugs here). We have also found so many gaps where they have been getting in. There is also mold around some of the floorboards. (We are on the first floor) The apartments look really nice at first glance. We thought the same at first. High ceilings, open floor plan designs, decent sized closets. The kitchen is ok, again, really cheaply and rushed when built. Corners were cut for sure when building these apartments. The microwave has no fan that actually pulls air above the stove, making cooking anything that causes steam or smoke to be a difficult without setting off the smoke detectors. The dishwasher is not fastened in properly as well with could also contribute to the bugs. Noise wise, it’s ok. You do hear neighbors through the walls occasionally and the main entrance doors when they open and close. However, it’s broken up into four apartments in a section that share entry door, so it isn’t all that often that someone entering or leaving. The living room/kitchen echoes a lot if you don’t have a lot of furniture or wall hangings. This was fixed mostly when we got a big couch, rug and hung pictures on the walls though. The plus side: The way we get packages and mail here is great. Very easy and you can get the mail in small packages yourself or if they come by UPS they’re delivered right to your door. USPS delivers large packages to the office and you have to pick them up, but they’re there every day. Overall, I do not recommend this apartment complex. The management is friendly and the area is nice, but the apartments are extremely cheaply built and I’ve gone out for the day just to avoid the multitude of bugs. An apartment building that is only 2 years old should not have this many bug and mold problems. Corners were cut for sure when this place was built.
My wife and I have been here for about a year now and we've really enjoyed it so far. The people are great, office and neighbors both. We just love to sit out on our little patio and watch the sun set through the trees. If you get a place in building 300, get it facing the woods so it stays cooler during the daytime and you can relax under sunset at night. 4 stars instead of 5 is because of their 2 pet limit. We would like to have a couple more if we could, but they are strict about having more than two.
I have lived at The Arbors for past year and I really enjoyed it. Their location is superb and their office and maintenance stuff are very professional and attentive. Brand new apartment complex that caters to your needs. My dog, Paris, loved living there too. Unfortunately, we are relocating to another state.
Since the first time I met the staff it has been nothing but the best experience I ever had. From the amazing views from my apartment to the amazing amenities. The property is very clean! Even the Maintenance team is amazing and available for us 24/7 for emergencies. Very family orientated and pet friendly which is a plus!!! I would recommend for anyone to come and live here. Thank You so much Arbors for the best welcome home anyone can have.
Brian was incredibly helpful and accommodating throughout the whole process. This facility is brand new (still constructing part of it, but will finish for the summer). I expect this place will fill up very fast because the pricing is too good to be true! I signed a lease for a 2 bedroom, 2 full bath, 2 walk-in closets, stainless steel appliances, brand new apartment for $1434 a month! There will be a pool, grill/picnic area, and it's nestled in a quiet part of Bloomfield. I work in Simsbury so this place is perfect! It's also pet friendly if I decided I want a pet in the future. I couldn't have asked for a better deal for a brand new apartment and the friendly staff made this experience very easy. I went to visit, loved it, and Brian let me sleep on the decision (held the apartment I wanted) and then I signed the lease (all online) the next day. I don't move in until July 1st too which is exactly what I wanted. Thank you so much Brian! I can't wait to move into my new home this summer! MAKE SURE YOU SIGN THE LEASE BEFORE MARCH 31st, 2017 IF YOU WANT THE DISCOUNTED PRICING! IT'S WORTH IT!! Highly recommend!
I had been looking for apartments in the West Hartford/Bloomfield area and these were by far the nicest ones I saw! My mom and I went to look at The Arbors and I signed the lease same day! Brand new, nice finishes (including stainless steel appliances), super clean, great amenities, safe and quiet neighborhood and I am so excited to move in! Brian was more than helpful and he was so patient and kind to both of us. He let us take our time, he answered all of our questions, and he walked me through the leasing process step by step! Thank you Brian!
We loved this place on first sight and immediately signed the lease. Brian was very helpful & patient. I strongly reccomed this community. Very safe & new apartments. Thanks Brian for making it easy for us.

Thank you for your review of The Arbors. I also thank you for the kind words about my customer service. I strive to give each of our residents the attention they deserve. We are tucked away in the woods which makes the community very quiet. They are all BRAND NEW apartments and I would be happy to how anyone that we are the nicest in the area. Thank you again!!!!!
As a parent we always want what is best for our children. I was given the opportunity to go apartment hunting with my child who was moving to the Bloomfield area from NJ to expand her professional career. We looked at more than 7 different properties, some nicer than others, some more expensive than others. In the end the final choice was an easy one. The Arbors at Brighton Park was set in a beautiful location, set back in a private area amongst the woods. The apartments are brand new and look wonderful. The main reason my child choose the Arbors aside from the location, style and look of the apartments was due to the professional, honest and caring personalities of Brian and Nicole. As a parent I was very skeptical about every complex we visited. What "scam" would they try to pull? What hidden costs would I need to dig for? I must say Brian and Nicole answered every question, showed me anything contractually I had a question about and in the end kept to their every word. Having such a great business experience associated with helping my child embark on her professional career and settle in to a new surrounding was important. It's not often you get to deal with such honest and caring people. I'm not one to write many reviews but I wanted to share my experience so others doing the same as I have would know what to expect if they choose to visit the The Arbors. I couldn't thank Brian and Nicole enough and my child is looking forward to being a part of wonderful community in a great area! Stu S.
I just moved in and the place is SO CLEAN! Brian and Nicole are very nice employees and easy to deal with. They gave me the time to look and there was absolutely no pressue. I left and came back 3 times to make sure this is what I wanted. They couldn't have been nicer. Also the free month rent really helped my budget. I will be recommending to anyone who asks. The Arbors are so nice and its so quiet here.
I visited the property a few days ago and I am so impressed. The apartments are very nice and I plan on reserving one in December! Bryan is amazing and I could tell he loves his job. Thank you for the tour and the granola bar and bottled water. A Taylor Anderson
