Property Ratings at Arbours at Silver Lake
This apartment complex has a terrible property manager and staff. They are filthy on the outside, the staff doesn’t care to clean it. Lastly they raise the rent each year yet the pool is consistently dirty and the gym is empty! All I see is the maintenance Men in their carts texting on their phone. The property managers famous spot is at the pool smoking a pack of cigarettes on the phone.
As we all know, moving can be a stressful time. Where we move can lesson that stress significantly. The Arbours at Silver Lake is just such a place. It’s not only the lake that brings you a sense of calm, but the friendly and knowledgeable staff that greet you. They do their very best to make sure your apartment becomes your home.
Everything here is outdated. They don't keep up with the property. Landscaping is bad, appliances are old, bad carpet, they don't paint the units before you move in, only spot touch. Giant bugs crawl out of the drains all the time!! Good luck getting the staff to care about it. Maintenance takes a week to fix anything. The office personnel is not nice. These people truly don't care about the people living in these apartments..
Property Manager at Arbours at Silver Lake, Responded To This Review
The Arbours at Silver Lake offers free pest services to all of our residents. Pest services are here every single Thursday and we do not charge for this service. A resident's request for service is never denied. We will come and diagnose the situation typically that very day- unless we have another urgent request that requires priority assessment- then, still we would respond by assessing the other situations no more than 48 hours later. There may be a part we need to order, in which we order and sometimes we are at the mercy of those who send the parts and the carrier who delivers the parts. All of our units are painted by a professional painting contractor and the carpets are cleaned by a professional carpet cleaning contractor. If a carpet requires changing out- our carpet cleaning contractor will not clean- he advises for replacement. He, however, wouldn't have to advise though, because we will change a carpet out that is of age or condition that requires it. Our long term residents (some have been here 10 years now) would agree that we are very hands on and if something requires our attention we will happily give that attention. We do appreciate our residents here at The Arbours at Silver Lake and hope that any issues are brought to our attention in a timely manner so that we can address and fix.
The buildings look really old on the outside and on the inside. They have old appliances as well the color of the walls are very bare. It's very loud living here and the staff is friendly but the maintenance people take time to do everything. The rent is still high and I do not recommend anyone living here.

With cooperation of the the majority of residents who clean up their own personal messes, and show appreciation for their community we have more time to meet the requests of all of our residents.
