About The Arden
Inspired by the spirit of reinvention and thoughtful design, The Arden is a space to both activate and restore. On the peaceful outer edge of Koreatown, this historic building has been fully transformed for a uniquely authentic LA experience. At The Arden, we believe that balance comes from both the eclectic daily experiences of urban life and the peaceful tranquility of refuge. Thoughtfully designed to help you reconnect and recharge, each of The Arden’s units has been crafted for you to cultivate your own personal sanctuary. Koreatown is a vibrant LA neighborhood fille with hidden gems, bars, eateries, and a collision of cultures. As the name suggests, the atmosphere in Koreatown is heavily influenced by Korean culture. The neighborhood is a favorite destination among foodies city-wide for its endless selection of authentic Korean restaurants, but the community has a much more diverse character than that: the broad range of cultural influences is exemplified in landmarks like the synagogue and contemporary art gallery of the Wilshire Boulevard Temple, the Latin fusion cuisine of Roy Choi’s restaurants, and the popular German/Korean/Hawaiian tinged gastropub, Biergarten.
Although the area is a hot spot for LA residents’ day trips, Koreatown is known as one of the best places to live in LA. Most locals rent their homes and enjoy parks, coffee shops, and stores within walking distance of their apartments.

Property Ratings at The Arden
Key fob may or may not work on entrances to building. Slow to fix or never fix AC, water, doors, etc. They will try to add late fees to your account. A stabbing occurred in March 2024. Trash out in the open. Standard of living and etiquette not maintained.
Today is move in day and opened the apt door to this. No one is responding to emails or phone calls and our movers are coming in a few hours. Im regretting convincing my bf to choose this place. Floors are cracked, laundry is small, microwave is dirty, outlets are peeled, walls are dirty and you can see all the times they try to cover it up with paint. Seems like the paint is different color each time too.
Passive aggressive messages about broken elevators and trashed common places. Save your money and find something a little nicer.
I have lived in a 1BR with Den for 7 months. My favorite part are the tall ceilings and floor to ceiling windows. I get so much natural light and the panoramic views of the city from the balcony and shared rooftop are very nice, especially in the evenings. The building staff are all super nice. The security guards are always around (they even help me with my luggage when I return from travel!) and the cleaning lady is very sweet. Bryan Shin, the building manager have made the whole process, from unit tour to move in, very easy and is very responsive over email and phone. The portal also makes it very easy to pay bills, request maintenance, etc.
Been living here for awhile and so far, really enjoying it. It's walking distance to a lot of good places to eat and centrally located. I'm surprised by the number of negative reviews. I would simply say to garner your expectations appropriately when looking for places in K-town. :) Management replies pretty quickly and in my experience, has been easy to get a hold of. Most units in this building (I believe) are studios, which is more geared towards a couple or single-living. There's definitely street noise but that's a result of the property being located on a main street. I personally have great neighbours but I think having potential noisy neighbours is a matter of luck when renting in most places. So just make sure to do a tour in person if you're considering :)
Garage 01/10 Elevator 01/10 Street Noise 01/10 I would not recommend it...overpriced.. It is renovated old building.
I was really looking forward to living in this apartment as it is walking distance to lots of shops/restaurants and is a newly renovated building. Residents here have no respect for their neighbors and do not understand living in an multiplex complex/community. The walls are also really thin (especially studio units) where you constantly hear your next door and upstairs neighbors (blasting sound and bass, loud walking, guests over everyday). It feels like you're living in the same unit as your neighbors. It is really not worth paying SO MUCH to be surrounded by constant noise ALL DAY and be stressed. The management sends out email if you bring up the issue but does not actually do anything to enforce the quiet hours or guest policy or create a liveable community. Unless you know you will be living next to neighbors who are respectful and educated, I do not recommend. Your quality of life will be affected living here...
The parking lot of the building is exclusively for those who paid $300 a month. There is no loading area for everyone else. The street parking is not available until late in the evening or Sunday, which makes my move-in process extremely difficult. Moreover, the dumpsters for recycling cardboards are too small, and nobody takes the recyclables away for weeks now. The management team only knows how to send emails to the residents, and do not know how to truly solve the problem. Please, listen to me. RUN FROM THIS PROPERTY.
Emailed, called, no answers. Poor customer service.
