Property Ratings at The Arden Northwest
I lived here longer than I should have. Every summer the A/C goes out and you’re ignored. I have roaches coming in my apartment from my neighbors house, they charge pest control every month but no one ever comes out. The outside stairs leading to my apartment are broken. I put in my 30 day notice to vacate and they act like they did not receive it and are trying to charge me another month for rent even though I haven’t signed a new lease. This has been a horrible experience. For what you’re paying, the “amenities” are not worth; no washer and dryer, non working swimming pools, trash all over the property. They think painting over old things are the way to go.

This has got to be the worst company ever. I put an application in late June for the middle of July for a unit. I have not received any communication back, I've called, left voice-mails. NOTHING! They just took my application fee and did nothing that was promised to me. Awful experience I wish I could get my application fee back. Stay away from here!

I could not warn you enough about moving into this apartment complex. Every single part of the process from applying, moving in and the initial months have been littered with lies, false promises and issues. We were originally shown a renovated unit and asked to rent one. It took a dozen calls, as no one answered the phone and multiple emails to even get a hold of someone at each stage of the application process and the lease wasn’t finalized on their end until a week before the move-in date. We then were given old unit that was not renovated with a list of problems. The bathroom off of the kitchen has paint all over the floor and when we first arrived (once cold water was restored that night) we found that the toilet was broken and the shower head was MISSING. We immediately informed the complex in person of the issues with the bathroom (along with a laundry list of other issues) at the front office informed us that someone would bring a showerhead immediately and look at the toilet. We were assured that Susan would contact us in the next few days as she was not currently in the office. No one ever showed and after 3 days of calling I fixed the toilet and purchased a showerhead. The cabinets are ancient with. The stove and dishwasher are at least 25 years old with the dishwasher barely working. The wooden floors in the kitchen and bathroom next to it clearly have had flooding as the floors are warped and bubbled. The entire wall underneath the sink is covered in MOLD. The washer and dryer were not hooked up and behind them were filthy. The heating seems to work but makes knocking noises. On February 13th the garbage disposal stopped working and we informed the office in person the following day. I submitted an online ticket on February 27th, still not heard back. I did my best to scoop everything out of the garbage disposal and run hot water through it but it has started to smell and we have resorted to shoving a rag in the entrance to block the smell. Recently when the temperature was warmer we put the AC on 72 degrees to cool down the apartment. The temperature never dropped below 78 and the AC ran endlessly and noisily. Two months after we moved in after all the issues we reported in to the front office no one has contacted us. We have been ignored every single step of the way and judging from the other recent reviews we aren’t alone. As things currently stand I do not see myself ever recommending Arden Northwest nor renewing my lease.

They are NOT TRUTHFUL and DON'T DO WHAT THEY tell you, if you can even get them! NO FOLLOW UP with you at all. The swimming pool was ALGAE GREEN ALL SUMMER and the maintenance is a JOKE. I'm sure that corporate big brother will issue a response to this review but, they don't answer the call either. POOR service and customer service. One excuse after the next. Sad if you work hard to pay the rent and they DO NOT HOLD up their end. They just want your MONEY. My AC hasn't worked in 5 days. They tell me the maintenance person is busy fixing a busted hot water tank and several residents haven't had AC in weeks and that I should just wait on them. They said they'd give me a rent break one day and the next they can't do it. I bet my AC unit is OLDER than I am. PITIFUL. DON'T rent here. My contract is about to expire thankfully. I've always paid on time and I'm getting pooped on by this place.

Management is non-responsive and lacks integrity. I put in a maintenance request on 05/05/2021 for my dryer to be inspected because it was giving off a strong burning smell while it ran. Maintenance never got back to me so I decided to go down to the office to see what the hold up was on 05/27/2021. They were short on maintenance and did not notify me of the situation at hand and so I was waiting 2 1/2 weeks just to find out very frustrating. I replaced the dryer hose that was torn in the middle and was slowly coming off causing the burning smell. So I went to home depot and bought a new hose for the dryer and swapped it out. I went to Harry the manager and showed proof of purchase and the old torn up hose to request a refund. He refused to give me a refund despite the situation at hand that took place. Also they I feel like they treat others and I unfairly when it comes to rent & they're always losing important document information like renters insurance & then they charge you extra without any proper notice.

Hi there - we are sad to see this review. We apologize for the delay regarding the dryer, it has come our attention that this work order has been has been addressed and the refund has been credited. Thank you for your patience in being able to assist you with the following concerns. Please reach out to our Resident Services Department at living@valiantresidential.com or call us at 214.522.1310 for any additional comments or concerns.
Just don’t. Absolutely no heads up when they turn utilities off for maintenance. Constantly without water, hot and/or cold, bugs, mold, poor insulation against outside elements. Electricity bills are pretty high because of it. Parking sucks too. Oh yeah, there was also the incident yesterday. Another resident screaming on her phone about calling 911 because apparently there was a man sitting in a bush trying to shoot her after taking several bottles of pills. If all that sounds great to you, you’ll probably enjoy being surrounded by the smell of weed as well. Especially since there’s no insulation. So whether or not you smoke it, your apartment will smell heavily of it.
Ashford Northwest was great, I lived there for about a year in a one bedroom. Maintenance was nice. The front Office staff were fantastic. My unit was clean when I move on and I only had to quickly wipe things down. The only complain I had about this entire place is the AC. Mine was broken from March 19th to about May 10th. It did get fixed eventually, but to go that long without AC was awful. They didn't offer any alternatives either such as a window unit. Despite that little hiccup though, I really loved the place. It was beautiful, nice, and well put together. Do be forewarned, you will hear gunshots in the area. At least once a week just about at night. Not something they can control but it's definitely a bit spooky the first time around.

After weeks of reporting a leak coming from my AC unit inside my apartment and several attempts to get them to come over and extract the water from my carpet, it has been an epic fail! I have a newborn baby that has lung issues and was just released from NIC U less then 3 weeks ago. He can not be exposed to MOLD and yet I have told them this over and over again, begging them to just get a water extraction and treat the area for potential MOLD until the leak can be fixed . I have one bathroom and the water is leaking from the ceiling so you can't even use the restroom without getting water on your head, and now the water is reaching into the bedroom almost to my bed and the ceiling could fall on our head at any moment. It's a sloshy and unsafe mess!!! I have called so many times I can't count. It's sad a company won't take better care of their residents. Oh, not to mention my 5 year son slipped and fell on the bathroom floor from all the water and busted his tail bone. Yes, this was told to the assistant manager too! Nothing!!!! I have called corporate and NOTHING!!! Please bring MS. DEE back she always had things done around here and she cared!
I came in and Colbie was helpful

Ashford northwest is a complete JOKE. The office staff SUCKS! They never return calls and it takes them forever to resolve anything. I would not recommend anyone move there. AND the “renovated” apts are not special, at all.. save your money and time!
I lived here for two years. Erin and Dee are the only staff that actually care. They just switched management and her and her assistant manager do not care about the residents and are extremely rude. I was so glad to leave after they took over. I also had water issues, I had to call the police over 10 times for people fighting and yelling. There was two occasions when the lady I had to call the police on lived above me and WORKED FOR THE COMPLEX. I’m pretty sure either her or the cleaning ladies stole my grandfathers guitar from my apartment. :( I couldn’t get my son out of that complex quick enough. Yuck.

Hot water went out 3 times in 8 months. Management failed to tell me when I moved in that my packages arrived at the front office (had to wait a week to install my internet because of it). It felt like a safe complex. I’m moving out at the end of my lease because they are raising the rent and I’m generally unsatisfied with this place.

We really appreciate this review! It's always nice to hear kind words about our Ashford Northwest staff. We hope you'll be happy with us for a long time!
Everything looks nice during the initial tour but once you move in be prepared for countless maintenance issues that will not resolved at all or half fixed and then completely forgotten about. The water heater upstairs broke and flooded my apartment in July and I had to call continuously because they would come kind of fix one thing and then disappear for weeks. I never did get my carpets cleaned or my cabinets replaced from the leak and it is now November. My A.C. went out SEVERAL times in the middle of the summer which was a total nightmare. They do often cut off the water with no notice because they seem to have more burst water pipes than I've seen in my life. Don't be fooled by the gates you see when you come in because they haven't been closed since Radco management took over which was YEARS ago and they just tell you a lie about how they are working on them and they will be fixed "soon" when you ask about them. I have lived here for several years and was always quite content until Radco bought the property and it's been one nightmare after another. Oh and don't bother calling Radco after you've been lied to and blown off by the apartment manager because the likelihood of a return call is slim.

Please contact the leasing office or email us at northwestamanager@ radcoliving.com. We will look forward to hearing back from you.
Soooo may issues! If I could give 0 start I would. 2 weeks in my AC goes out and it took three times (3 weeks) for them to call a specialist... after that they told me that they wouldn't work on AC issues once it dips below 60 outside. After talking to them more about it they "replaced" the condenser... winter comes and goes and once it gets hot outside again the AC magically goes out again... I don't think it was ever fixed. Then disposal goes out , then my pet got injured on their property (broken glass in the yard) and it cost me $300 in vet bills but nothing was done about it. There is trash consisting of broken glass, beer cans, bottles, etc... all over the property even though they claim to clean the property every day. Their maintenance team is very incompetent and management puts on a show but no results when an issue occurs. Half the time they have a "not my problem" type of attitude. I let my lease a month early because I couldnt deal with the heat anymore (broken AC) and I couldnt deal with them anymore.DO NOT RENT WITH THEM!

I have lived here for 9 moths and my experience has been below 0. When I first moved in, I was hearing noises 6 in the morning . I suspected that there is a bird stuck between my neighbors and my wall . All they had to do is put a piece of wood to block the noise and it took them one month to have that fixed. I have been waking up everyday even the weekend early in the morning. Also, my fridge was making such a loud noise and it was also not very cold and I asked them to fix it. it was impossible for me to sleep . I had to wait two weeks for them to send someone to fix it , this happened twice when I had to wait for someone to fix my fridge and my food got spoiled twice. Then they sent someone to fix it while I was out of the state, I had turned off all my lights and when I came back after a week, my light were on because they left them on after they fixed the fridge. However, until now, the ice maker is missing and hasn`t been fixed then. Also, the fridge was installed the wrong way and it was opens on the opposite side, why they didn't just finish them job from the first time, why should i ask many tims. My biggest problem with this apartment is the AC. I have told them so many times that the AC doesn`t work well, they would come tell me they fixed it and they leave. They never fixed it. This resulted in a very high electricity bill . My bill was 220 dollars a month and I stay home only two hours a day after a long day of work and gym. and i live alone so i use only 1 lamp 2 hours a day aim paying that much because of the AC problem that they don't want to fix it ! I am very unhappy living here, but hopeful that maybe things will change soon before my contract is up.

I've lived here for about a year, and can't wait to move out. The bad experiences far outweigh the good, I just haven't been able to afford a new place yet. - I'm constantly finding cockroaches even though we clean regularly. As you walk through the complex at night you can see them running around. -The entire complex is covered in dog poop, including the dog park. You can't even close the gates on the dog park, they've been broken for months. -I've requested a new screen door for months because it was damaged by someone, and they still haven't ordered a new one. -I came home from work to a rock that had been thrown through my window. -The walls and floors are extremely thin, you will hear every step the resident living above you takes.

Update 06/17: I originally almost gave this place a 5 star review thanks to the way we were taken care of by Doretha in the office. She has been great the whole year we've lived there, but other than that, it went downhill fast. When I first moved in, I didn't listen to the reviews about people getting their cars broken into or their A/C not getting fixed for months in the heat of the summer. I SHOULD HAVE LISTENED AND SO SHOULD YOU. If you think about renting from here, PLEASE take everything you read into consideration, as I didn't and regret so. This complex is listed as a "gated" community, but the gates are open 24/7. They never even give you gate codes. (not to mention the fact that someone drove their car through the gate and broke it and it has yet to be fixed almost two months later, there is still broken glass in the glass in the yard. If you have pets, be extremely cautious as there has been broken glass and cigarette butts in the dog park since we moved in a year ago, which they stated their maintenance men must "overlook on their daily walks." In February, our air conditioning went out. Some days it got well above 80 degrees in the house, but they didn't fix it for 3 months and that was only because we never stopped hounding them. They kept saying the "national apartment association regulates what temperature it has to be outside before we can look at your unit." Claiming that it had to be above 75 degrees outside before they could get an accurate reading, they waited months even with proof that it was hotter than that outside on several days. I also verified with several heat and air technicians and another Ashford property that 65-70 degrees is the optimal temperature to get an accurate reading, and that's only if the issue is due to refrigerant. They also don't de-ice the stairs and sidewalks during the winter because residents "complain of the salt being dragged in on the carpets." I know this all too well because a friend of mine slipped trying to leave their apartment and got injured. This isn't just an Ashford Northwest problem, it's a RADCO problem. A former manager at another RADCO property resigned because of corporate refusing to fix or replace residents' air conditioning units. I feel unsafe living there and I honestly cannot wait until my lease is up to move somewhere where I can deal with honest people and have safe living conditions. Don't just take my word for it: listen to EVERY review you can before you decide to live here.

I cannot fathom the way they treat their residents. My friends currently live here and they have treated them like crap since the day they began living there. I cannot imagine living in an apartment whose management is so incompetement. If you're seriously so bad at your job, you shouldn't work there. Also, never trust an apartment leasing office who does NOT live onsite. The current apartment manager does not, and therefore, could care less about her residents. Obviously she's too dumb to realize that without happy residents, she wouldn't have a job. Seriously, step your game up and actually learn to manage an apartment complex.

I'll cut to the chase. They didn't fix my air conditioning for 3 months because it "wasn't hot enough yet" although it was 92 in our apartment. Wouldn't waive a $200 fee for "pet damage" on the carpet even though we paid our full rent EVEN without working A/C for 3 months. Which by the way, the "pet damage", hardly worth $800 they wanted to charge us at first. The carpet doesn't have proper padding so anything that spills, even water, will stain. They were already pulling it up to upgrade our apartment but they wanted to blame the charge onto someone so they didn't have to pay. The floors underneath are rotting and you can feel it when you walk across the floor. It feels like concrete in your "carpeted" home. There's roaches EVERYWHERE outside. Dog park locks are broken, there's glass and cigarette butts everywhere INSIDE the dog park. People smoke weed and party constantly and when complained about they do nothing. They did nothing about a dog that attacked me and scarred my leg beside saying "we know which dog". The manager doesn't care about the residents or her staff. I haven't heard one good thing about her from ANYONE including other ashford locations. This location is a sham for sure, all they want is your money and trust me, they'll find a way to get it.

First off the reviews here that are positive sound pretty fake. Reason being I have been living in this apartment complex with the previous management Case and Associates former Lincoln Greens to the current Ashford Northwest. I have experienced the previous management Lincoln Greens, where they had the gates always locked creating a safer environment for tenants. The staff was helpful and polite. We didn't have new or fancy appliances but they worked, if the appliances broke they were ready to repair and even go above and beyond. The rent was reasonable based on the neighborhood and age of the complex. With Ashford Northwest it's been a year now and the gates have never been closed. Reason being there is remodeling of the apartments. The crew remodeling are very suspicious looking. The apartments that are being remodeled are not worth the price tags. The "remodelled" units cost $100 more than the older units. Here is the catch no washer and dryer is included. Keep in mind this complex does not have laundry facilities. But you will be happily pointed in the direction to rent a washer and dryer at an added cost. The staff is very rude and snappy. They lack in customer service skills. I had an issue with my toilet, called only to be redirected to voicemail diligently informed me they was an issue with the water pipes. Let's just say I didn't use the bathroom the whole evening. Only to realize the voicemail was outdated and misleading. Brought it up to the staff and the answer I got was "we are unable to remove the voicemail". No apologies and definitely not even a simple enquirer if my toilet was fixed. Don't bother moving in. It's looks all shinny but you will pay an arm and foot.
I'm currently living in this complex and have been for almost a year. In my honest opinion, don't allow the renovation signs and the upgraded amenities influence you. In my time here I've had/currently have an issue with my ac/heat blowing upstairs in my apartment of which the solution was and I quote "buy a fan or something". Maybe I'm being picky but I would expect if there are vents upstairs that air should be blowing out of them not trickling. Secondly I had a leak at my washer and it saturated my floor in front of it. The first time they said they fixed the leak they didn't, it continued to leak not to mention the broke the handle off of the faucet. The second time they came back to fix it they put a nice size hole in my wall behind my washer and left it. Again maybe its me but I work in the repair field and if I have to tear down something before I can fix something else I fix the problem and what I tear down before I leave seeing as that's good service and just flat out common sense. When I did actually choose to refer someone to move in I was told i'd receive a referral credit for it. Once again wrong a month goes by and wouldn't you know it the office lost the paper work and had no clue of what I was talking about. The short of that issue was having to take time out of my day at work to redo the paperwork again. Now the current issue at hand and what has surely become the reason I will not renew my lease here they lost my rent payment. I repeat THEY LOST MY RENT PAYMENT!! and without any type of contact ,seeing as I have paid my rent either early or on time, posted and eviction notice on my door stating that I had four days to reconcile this issue an issue that wasn't even created by me. And upon going to resolve this issue no sorry for the inconvience of you having to leave work to deal with this, no sorry at all just and again I quote "oh it must have gotten lost". Had it been before you they sent the eviction notice that wouldn't have bothered me but it was after the fact you assumed and never inquired about the payment luckly I had my receipt handy. The moral of this review, the office personel seem quite nice, and the complex is coming along way as far as looks but GOOD BUSINESS is the number one thing all people look for and the have proven to me that they are light years away from being able to provide that. Hope this helps someone its not hate just plain ol facts.

This is a great location, close to restaurants, quail springs mall, night life, hospital, schools, and several highways. Everything you could possibly need is in close proximity. The office staff is really nice and super helpful even more so after the new owners took over. The maintenance requests are completed in a timely manner. The two swimming pools and 24 hour gym are easily my favorite part of living at Ashford Northwest. There are new additions pretty frequently and i can't wait to see the final result of the renovations on site.
I wasn't able to wait on an updated unit because of a time crunch to move in, but Ashford took care of me with a new carpet that helped make the place a little less outdated. Since I've been here, I've had minor, typical maintenance issues, but nothing too bad, and they were quick to respond. I was planning on moving into one of the newly renovated units because I like this complex enough...but then I went through one. The kitchen looks great and all, but if they want to jack up the rent as much as they are, it takes more than a new fridge and cabinets. The new one had no washer/dryer provided, the same mediocre A/C unit, and it looked just as poorly insulated around windows and doors as my older unit. The rent is affordable and the complex is in a convenient location, so it's a pretty good value for the non-renovated unit...but if you are looking for a nice, modern apartment I would probably look elsewhere.
The following reviews are either fake, or the tenants who posted them recently moved into those units they have rushed to upgrade, by laborers whose look and demeanor are that of ex-cons turned hired-hands. Wonder if they will give such a high review once they have repeated issues with the antiquated water system. Multiple buildings share the same boiler, so if there is an issue with the water in one particular unit all have to go without until it is fixed--and they are not proactive in notifying you. Oh, and they will lie and say it's "the city" as the reason why the water is off--most people don't call to verify; I did and it was a lie. If you have a dog, please be certain they are vaccinated. They say they have and enforce their pet policy... I'll encourage you to just be sure to watch your step, or maybe that smell isn't actually on your shoe, simply outside your patio/balcony. I'd encourage you to get a post office box at the local post office. Mail boxes are unkept and appear in total disrepair. Don't be fooled by their fake smiles and "oh we're here for you" demeanor. Walk the property, talk to the current tenants. Those people in that office are paid to sale the place, and are nothing more than your proverbial used-car salesmen, turning back odometers--lying to you and saying what you want to hear in order to close the sale. It's clear to see that they are seeking to increase the ranking of this property, by throwing up a few coats paint and adding some new appliances; the equivalent to putting make-up on a pig.
My apartment is so beautiful, clean and I love everything about it. it definitely worth the price
The apartments are really good. They have nice spacing and the people at the front office are quite approachable...they always try to take care of situation that you have in your apartment on a timely manner...
The staff is sol rude. Repairs go months without being taken care of and the manager always tried to turn things around on you when she doesn't keep her word!! I wish I never signed a second lease
I'm really loving the apartment I moved into. The kitchen is updated and beautiful! Very spacious for a 1 bed 1 bath
I have been at my current apartment for a little over two years and I love them, never had a issue with office staff and maintenance is always there to fix any issues we may have. We are in a great area with grocery stores, a mall and plenty of drive thru and dine in restaurants. There are washers and dryers in every unit, a nice pool, and nice size tennis court. The residents are nice, the environment is positive and quiet and I would refer anyone to this place!
Ashford NW is under going many changes with new management. New color of buildings new appliances, new counters, an overall facelift. I've been here for over three years. I am college student too. The changes will be great it will a more upscale apartment to the northside
The Ashford apartments are great , newly remodeled with great amenities. The maintance crew are really handy and fix whatever needs to be fix in a really quick time. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Ashford Northwest is a great place in Okc to live.
Formerly known as Lincoln Greens, currently known as Ashford Northwest...the apartment complex as a whole is average....they charge a little too much for the current conditions and old appliances but they all do...the remodel and the website is based on a handful of apartments they are remodeling...expect to pay alot more and the new units will not have a washer or dryer....expect noise from street and neighbors....expect the people in the office to never follow through and tell you anything to get you off the phone....expect the gates to be open, so dont pay extra for a card or clicker...expect your water to be shut on a regular basis after about 9am....expect the possiblity of dealing with cockroaches...maintenance is good...expect higher utility bill due to old windows and patio window
ehh.. I'm not sure the new management knows what they are doing locally. lack of communication has caused several problems. they can't decide to keep the side security gate open or closed but lately keep it open. the changes and "improvements" are sparse and erratic, I'm getting what I'm paying for. Tennant's who lived here before. the management change were absolutely not informed of any changes officially. the previous owner of the complex was fast to dump this place for corporate Lamar group llc who apparently have no way to be contacted by Tennants. uhg...you pay your nickle, you take your chances!
I just moved here from Texas, and I can say it's has been a great move in. I love the area of where I live it's in close proximity to multiple stores, gas stations, and restaurants. I would have to say that the apartment complex is in good shape and it would be nice to clean the air vents. Also, the painters who paint the apartments could scrape off old paint instead of palling paint over paint. (Very tacky) I would have to say that the closet space is amazing. :-)
