As its name implies, Shoreline is nestled along the Puget Sound. Shoreline prides itself on being a standout suburb of Seattle. The city boasts a supportive, healthy, and active community. Unlike other suburbs in the area, Shoreline has 14 defined neighborhoods and volunteers work together while coordinating special events and implementing “neighborhood mini-grant” projects. Throughout these 14 united neighborhoods, you’ll find over 40 public art installations, which is one of the many ways Shoreline expresses support for the arts. In fact, there are over 15 art festivals held each year! Safe neighborhoods with a strong sense of community paired with affordable housing options for every budget and excellent schools make this town a family-friendly place to rent in.
Community events and free time often take place at the great parks across the city. Shoreline has over 400 acres of land dedicated to parks.

Property Ratings at The Artiste
I lived in the Artiste community for 3 lease terms. The building itself is beautiful, the lobby really pretty & the roof top had great views especially on the great NW sunset nights. There were a couple of employees that I can remember names of BC, Jenny and Sammy who were awesome staff members who really went out of their way for the residents there. The groundskeeper Domingo always was busy working on units, seemed like a lot of work for just one person to manage especially after holidays when the garbage rooms were filled to the brim. When we first moved in there were burn marks in the carpet. We were told they'd be replaced it never happened. They were so bad and really should had been replaced before our arrival. Mold started growing in the bedroom above and around the air conditioner, we had the window vent open as requested. They came in and painted over BLACK mold. A neighbor mentioned she had it too, in the SAME exact area there were multiple people with this issue. Our dishwasher broke & when it was being serviced I was told that I should be washing the dishes before using it & not be putting bones in the dishwasher, we don't eat meat there were not bones from us which meant it was from the tenants before us. We had the blind fixed because they always came off track we were told they'd finish the week they started it took over a month before they were complete. There is a garbage room can be so full you can't even walk to the shoot. They could be so stinky you can smell it as soon as you open your door. The office staff cycles out about every 3 months. We put our 30 day notice in. During our walk through with Rachel & Domingo he said the walls needed to be repainted & explained not to worry it's normal after a long lease. He said the carpets were good, the walk through went good there was nothing bad said while he was there. We scrubbed the apartment clean I have pictures & video STILL. They charged us for the carpets, said apt needed a deep cleaning charged extra for that, and charged us for where the T.V. was mounted when we asked before doing it. They tried to charge us $517.85 our deposit to move out, they did the final walk through without us which Chairty magically appeared at, we bumped heads she already had issues with me. They literally took a photo of the kitchen lamp that had dead bugs & charged us for general cleaning they ensured would be done as a routine anyways.
Absolutely love the property! Very updated. Maintenance staff is fantastic! Only downside is there is a lot of construction in the area and is hard to get in and out of

So happy to hear that you are loving your home. We thank you for choosing The Artiste!
Was so excited to move in to what looked like a great place to live. After living here I will be so happy to move and would not recommend this property to anyone I know. There has been a non stop road project in front of the building that seems that will never end. Constantly can't get home without long waits due to the traffic, next to impossible to get out of the driveway on to the road that passes by because traffic is usually blocking. Upkeep of the building has taken a total nose dive. While the lobby area looks posh and clean all the time, the residential floors lack upkeep. Stains on hallway carpet, sticky or dirty buttons on the elevators and hall buttons most of the time, stains on the walls that have been here for months. Garbage shoot rooms on each floor usually have sticky build up on the floors from other peoples dripping garbage, recycling room floor is usually nasty dirty and sticky, recycling is usually full so people just leave their recycling on the floor along with garbage if the shoot door is already full meaning the dumpster below is full again, also leave garbage in the halls, in the garage there is a constant amount of overflow garbage because the 1 can is full so people just put garbage on the floor, the exterior areas are somewhat kept clean but need more attention, just like the shared areas residents use. While the apartments boast being air conditioned, not all rooms in the 2 bedroom units have air conditioning. the 2/1 has a/c in one bedroom and the living room. The other bedroom has none. The 2/2 both bedrooms have a/c but the living room does not. The missing a/c unit makes a big difference in keeping the space cool, which is part of why you pay more to live here because it has the additional amenity. All units have glass enclosed showers, hope you enjoy the squeegee because you will have to use it everyday if you don't want water stains on the glass, nightmare to keep clean. The walls are also very thin. You can and will hear alot from your neighbors, you will also hear alot from the outside, the front and sides also get alot of noise from the street traffic. Parking here is a nightmare. If you have a 1 bedroom you can get 1 spot in the garage if you have a car, if you don't have a car you don't get a spot nor do you get guest parking. 2 bedroom can get two spots if they own 2 cars, 1 assigned the other is not and no guest parking for you either. There are 4 guest spots out front that are always full.
