Property Ratings at The Arts at Broadway Commons
Overall our stay over the past three years has been acceptable. Maintenance is relatively quick to fix things. We have had roaches the entire time we've lived here so consider that. The pools are randomly open and closed during the summer and the hot tub is typically brown from children jumping in and out. Apparently they didn't do the plumbing very well because if they have to fix something water related in one apartment they have to shut off the water to the entire complex. So be prepare to be randomly without water at times. When it rains the parking area where we park is flooded in a foot or so of water not to mention the muddy areas you'll have to traverse before you even get to the water where your car is. The people that live here throw trash out of their cars and the parking areas look like trash heaps with empty bottles and soiled diapers laying about. If you enjoy having your children witness parking lot drug deals then look no further. Usually around 6-8 pm. And speaking of drugs, the apartments are not well sealed so when your neighbors partake of whatever they are using it seeps into your house through the bathroom and other vents. Nobody pick up after their dogs so if you're eyeing those open grass areas as places for your kids to play, think again. They've threatened to fine people but that doesn't happen. Because of the storm we had no water for a week and then my building had no had water for 8 days following which was described to me in a very demeaning and condescending way as "unfortunate". Lastly, forget about using your patio because the noise from the highway makes it impossible. So, no I don't recommend this complex. They are making a bunch of improvements like painting and what not but that doesn't address any of the above.
Everything is great, just moved in & havent had any problem. No bugs, HOT water! Safe& very convenient!
Just moved in but it was an easy process. The staff is nice.
Worst Apartments in Garland, Texas. Residents are lying about this apartments because don't have no where to lived resident apartment 2002 was arrested husband and wife last year still lived there with felony charges by Garland Police Department. Leasing office staff covering it up. Sewer smells water, water always off, leaking always stopped up molds, mildew inside of toilets big bugs, bed bugs, aunts, small snakes loud music, loud noises, evicted residents for complaints air conditioning like hot hell up stairs townhouses. Residents are very living under poor conditions leasing office staff covering it up very good get your money
The office staff is so friendly the two girls at the front, I think their names are Maddie and Emily are always so helpful and friendly. I've only lived here for a short period of time but they always return my calls quickly and any work orders I've placed always get completed within 24 hours. I don't have problems with any of my neighbors and it's so close to everything. Definitely will be renewing my lease when the time comes!!!
As first apartments go I? really do love my apartment. The lay out is wonderful and my down stairs neighbor is cool but my other neighbors not so much. They let their dogs poop in front of my apartment(which is a small part of grass no where near their apartment) and they don’t pick it up. Other neighbor let’s their dog poop in front of our mailboxes. I’ve called the office and they didn’t do anything about it. Didn’t even act like they cared. Now I’m and can’t sleep because there’s ants crawling all over my walls. My skin is crawling just from looking at them. I’ve called at least 5 times over broken blinds over the past year and they still haven’t replaced them. Ac doesn’t work in the summer and they constantly ignore us when we complain. It’s was nice at first but I? can’t wait to get a new apartment.
This property is awful and so are the employees, from the office staff to corporate. Do yourself a huge favor and do not rent from here. The maintenance is awful and office staff has really bad attitudes especially the property manager as well as people in the corporate office. I lived at this property twice, the first experience was better than the second but after moving out I'll never go back again and advise others not to as well unless you're okay with half done repairs and an office staff that only wants your money on the first.
If you want to live at an apartment that the air conditioner will only reach 80° At 12am then this is the spot for you ! After more then 10 calls to the careless leasing office, they send their uneducated maintenance to tell you the AC is working just fine. Me and my girlfriend are sweating UNDER A SHEET at night, right now it's 12:16am and it's 81° And they will do nothing about it. Have fun !
Don't live at The Arts Apartments at Broadway Commons in Garland, Texas. Property management and staff's have very nadty attitudes, too faces, favoritism, hanged phone up in your face, rush you off the telephone with attitudes, don't have concerned about new neighbors favoritism over old neighbors over new neighbors. Neighbor trash your side, loud music 27/4, arguing neighbor, dog, cat not on lease contract, cigarettes on your side and trashed. Report anything to management will go against you about your own complaints. Garland police officers has been called out multiple times on neighbor for disburbing peace all the times. Maybe some residents are civilized over other dysfunctional residents. Don't renew your lease contract. Drugs activities on this property. People are walking around very late looking for drugs or other criminal activities on this property. I wish i have never moved there in my hold life.
Don't live at The Arts Apartments at Broadway Commons. Apartment staff's has attitudes when you report things to them. They talk about people behind their back in a negative way and make fun of people. Neighbors play very loud music, tslking very loud, laughing very loud don't go to sleep they're up 24/7. Garland police officers has came out for so many disturbs that's its unbelievable on next door neighor for very loud music and parties. Neigbor arguing all the times in front and back of their of their apartment no matter what time its. Throwing trash on neighbor side, cigarettes on neighbor side, child is crying alot all the times without no resason, alot of disturbs, trafficking in and out of apartment not just for visiting. Apartment favor over other residents that have privilege rights. Apartment staff's practices favoritism those have privilege rights over non-privilege rights. Apartment staff's don't care it's all about money, keeping property fill and etc. Neighbors are moving in and out all the times. If you look at the website www.apartments.com of The Arts Apartments at Broadway Commons its not always fill with residents. Its lack of management staff's there bad with undercover too face attitudes there. Staff's is pretended to have good attitudes just get your money to get you to move you in when your lease contract up you will be moving out! Just look at their website at www.apartments.com. If you know what i know you want live there. Breaking lease contract is over $2,000.00 pluse other fees.
I have lived here for three years at The arts at Broadway Commons. I am happy living here.
I have lived in these apartments for 4 years. I am very pleased with the service I receive here. They always reply promptly when we need any repair. The apartments are in good condition and very clean. There are no coach roaches, not even one and every year I renew they give me a discount. The area is very safe and peaceful. Would not mind to renew another year! This is our home.
My apartment community/complex is neat the way they turned multiple different complexes into one, Arts @ Broadway Commons. We have multi-colored buildings because of this, which makes us different from other complexes. Our complex is very friendly and for us to be non-gated and also sitting off the highway, our community is very SAFE. We are also dog-friendly and to many different breeds, we have multiple open fields on our property and nearby for you to go out and enjoy a day with your dogs and kids which are why we also have multiple pools and playgrounds for you to enjoy a day outside of the house. In walking distances, there are more then one shopping centers/plaza's for you to eat out, shop, any other miscellaneous needs you may have. There is public transportation in walking distance, as well. You can call this place home as well, I know I do.
Been living in this apartment for a year now and been suffering. I have a two bedroom apartment and the master bedroom which is my room doesn't get cold at all. Called the maintenance people about the problem and they said it was my air filter so they changed it out. Couple days go by, my room was still hot compared to the rest of the apartment which was beyond cold. They came out again, but this time changed the air vent saying this should work. Of course it didn't work. The maintenance then tells me it's the way the apartment was built so he knew that changing the vent and filter wouldn't help. I wasn't the only one who had the same issue . People moved because of this problem. Living in Texas, this is a bad problem to have!
Quiet apartment friendly staff clean. been here almost 3 years only complaint is the lack of choice in utility company.
