We have been living in this complex for 22 months, and I feel it's important to share my experience which I hope get that from real resident. They offer gift cards to residents who leave positive feedback, so I encourage you to read all reviews carefully: 1. Cockroaches: We’ve had cockroaches throughout our entire stay. The management only sends pest control randomly, and nothing ever gets resolved. 2. Overcharged Utility Bills: We are charged around $280 for utilities for two people every month, based on estimates. Both of us work full-time, and we even emailed the area manager (Lina) about this issue. She quickly blamed the previous community manager for the overcharges. 3. Gate Issues: The gate has been out of service about 80% of the time, leaving it open and unsecured. 4. Clubhouse Miscommunication: On the first day, we were told the clubhouse was free to use, with only an $80 deposit required. However, when we tried to use it, they told us we had to pay the full amount. They even locked the room, and we couldn’t even play billiards. 5. Utility Billing Issues: During the first year, they didn’t follow the contract terms and only invoiced utilities based on estimates. Whenever they needed more money, they would charge us more. 6. Trash Valet Problems: We had multiple issues with the trash valet service. When we raised concerns, they simply told us to call them. Additionally, trash valet was collected randomly, but we were still required to pay for the service. 7. Pool Issues: The pool was closed for 40 days during the peak summer season, allegedly because they were trying to obtain a certificate (according to them). 8. Pool Cleanliness: The pool was consistently dirty and was only cleaned once a week. 9. Poor Common Area Services: Services in common areas, such as the gym and pool, were consistently bad—either dirty or out of service. Think two times and in long term before move here ...

Zero maintenance high price. Very unfriendly staff. Most of the apartments are empty, people moving out due to new management.

I liked the apartment and started the application and I needed help with documents upload step and when I tried to reach out to leasing office they didn’t pick the call at all. And I sent a friend of mine to leasing office and got the email Id. I sent the email Id and then they increased the price by $284. And now they don’t help eventhough it was all their mistake. Worst lease application process ever.

Do check out the garbage drop area when visiting. Maintenance services are ok. Walk in closets are small. Do check the tubs and walls. I had to get the walls repainted.

I lived at the Ascent for 2 years, after which I received a job offer in another state and therefore had to move. I had referred a friend to the Ascent, and was due a referral bonus. However, the Ascent intentionally withheld the money from me and to this day they have refused to give it to me, even though I met all criteria and benchmarks to receive it. I would be very cautious when considering the Ascent. If they go to such extreme lengths to withhold $300, then I could only imagine what will happen when a couple of months rent is at stake.
The Ascent At Windward had been my home since 2012. It's a wonderful community with beautiful and modern amenities, and wonderful shopping. The office staff was always friendly and professional. Any concerns that I had were handled promptly and with the utmost of care. The maintenance staff has always been extremely responsive, and I never had an issue neighbors. I HIGHLY recommend anyone looking for an apartment home in Alpharetta to choose The Ascent At Windward. You won't regret it. I surely didn't.

I've lived here since September 2014, and never regretted moving here. When you call for any service to be done to your apartment, it's done that day or quicker if it is an emergency(within in the hour). The folks in the leasing office is polite and nice and it is a great location, close enough to the shopping, but far enough from all the other complex's that are sitting on top of each other.

I moved here in January of 2017. Many may think that this time frame is not enough time to judge the property adequately. Let me be the first to say that I actually signed my lease the summer of 2016 pending my lease to end with another property. My anxiousness and eagerness to move into my newly renovated huge luxury 3 bedrooms caused the management staff to search for an earlier move- in date.
Not only am I impressed by the stellar customer service of the property management, I am more delighted with the location which shuttles my children to one of the top schools in the district. Thus far, I am excited about my neighbors who have shown friendliness from the start. I can easily access everything from this location from the North Point Mall, Hwy 400 which, and as a bonus it's close to my job that only takes me 8 mins with lights! If you want to sleep in peace in a luxury home, then Ascent is the place to live. As a previous apartment renter, living here has now made me appreciate QUALITY over QUANTITY. I am living here for the past one year and the current management team including all their service staff are really great. I had a broken tap on a Saturday evening which flooded parts of my bed room too and I couldn't be more thankful for the way they responded so promptly and fixed the whole thing like nothing happened. The grounds and the apartments are not kept up. The apartments have roaches in the summer and the grounds are always dirty. The Management Office does not care about tenants or quality of life; it's all about doing as little as possible. The maintenance team will not replace light bulbs, the tenant is responsible for changing air filters, and the recycling facility has been completely removed. In addition, crime is higher over the past year (Source: Alpharetta Police Department and based on the quality of the new tenants, it will only increase. There are much better options out there; skip over this one.

I have lived in my apartment community for over 5yrs. I really like the community. They are now remodeling as each tenant move out, and those new remodel apartment is sooooo nice. When I first moved in the community I moved to a 3 bedroom which I had to downsize to personal reason. However, I wish that I could move into one of the nicer remodeled 3 bedroom apartment. When you call for repairs, its done within minutes to less than an hour. The people in the leasing office is so nice. I just love living here on this property.
The neighborhood and area are very safe, and the complex has a lot of families. If you're looking for a place to raise your family, this is probably a good choice. (But if you're like me with no kids, you might find the area a little boring!) Sometimes the kids might get a little loud in the afternoon or summer time, but for the most part the neighborhood is very quiet and relaxed. There are also lots of dog owners, which can be good or bad depending on your point of view. Most of them are well-trained and the owners pick up after them responsibly. The apartments themselves are decent. You can hear your neighbors through the ceiling and walls sometimes, which might get annoying, but after a while you get used to it. (Can't hear talking; mostly them walking around, shower running, and such.) My biggest pet peeve is with the laundry facilities: the dryers fail to completely dry your clothes like 70% of the time and the washers break too regularly. If you live here, I'd definitely just get your own washer/dryer. Theirs aren't worth the cost of using them. Everything else I'd say is pretty average. Some appliances need to be updated, but not a big deal and I think they've been working on that. The rooms are well-lit with lots of windows and feel spacious, so that is a definite plus and my favorite part. I also like the kitchen space: it's a good layout, and practical. Neighborhood is also great for going for a walk and getting fresh air--this is how you'll meet most of your neighbors, who are generally health-conscious, nice, and polite. The new management is not the best at communication--such as choosing to renovate the leasing office and fitness center with no warning whatsoever, or failing to e-mail me back. Still, they are friendly people (especially the maintenance folk), so if you need something, just talk to them in person instead. All in all a pretty good place to live if it's what you're looking for.
I have been in the apartment for over 6 months and the apartment managers have handled any issue I had.
