I’m a transgender woman and I have lived at the Ashby for a few years. I have had numerous issues with other residents who are transphobic that have said some pretty inappropriate things to me. I have also had issues with certain residents feeling the need to harass me and bang on my door at 11pm. This place is definitely not a fit for Trans women like myself.
Very nice complex and updated apartments. Very safe and friendly area. Conveniently located to my work place and easy to navigate downtown and to surrounding areas.
The Ashby is always beautiful, whatever season it is. The grounds are impeccable. The people who live here are all very friendly. The dog park is beautiful, there are so many nice dogs and their owners. The office staff, Danielle and Aaron, are always welcoming and helpful. The maintenance staff is second to none, they’re always friendly and prompt to fix whatever the Issue may be.
It’s a wonderful place to live. Close to mall, restaurants, and grocery stores. Walking distance to the T. Great maintenance crew and fast response!
Great location. Close to restaurants, shopping, medical facilities. Transportation is easy with the T rail system & Uber. Spacious parking garage next to apartments. Administrative & maintenance staff are friendly & responsive to questions & requests. Grounds are well maintained. Snow removal is prompt. All ages live here. I’ve been here for 6 yrs ????
It’s been a great experience living here. Good facilities, quiet neighborhood plus right next to shopping mall and train station. It’s accessible to places where there’s no need to drive.
I’m thoroughly enjoying living here. The grounds are beautiful. The location is convenient. I feel very secure and safe here. My neighbors are very friendly pleasant too

Great living space! Everyone is friendly and easy access to the T line. Great pool and gym as well. I wish there was a little different parking situation but it is what it is!
I love my comfortable apartment and appreciate the ability to walk to work. It is confidently located close to the mall. I feel that being in a walkable place helps me to excesize more.

Best rental property in the South Hills! Within walking distance to: retail; professional offices and light rail transit to downtown. The staff is professional and the maintenance is almost clairvoyant. Building hygiene is very good even-though dogs and cats are permitted. Rent and utilities increases are reasonable and other tenants are, for the most, part courteous.

To start, the staff including maintenance are awesome. Absolutely 0 complaints on that front. Why they built this complex out of wood instead of concrete/cinder blocks, I'll never know, as that means there is virtually zero noise proofing in the apartment. You'll hear things outside and in the hall, be it car alarms, barking dogs, people talking, etc. Pool, gym, and landscaping are all great. Heating/AC is a bit weak and run frequently in the winter/summer respectively to keep the apartment warm/cool. Overall, I would and do highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice apartment in a great location with a pool and gym and exceptionally friendly and responsive staff.

I love my spacious apartment and how easy it is for me to get to work on time. I like the access to the T and the pool. My parents love coming over to swim. They reminded me today that when I was little, I begged to have a pool in the back yard!

The apartment ia great I love it! Area is super nice. Big fan of the train being next to the apartments. Also the outside area is upkept super well! They are also very pet friendly which is great!

I love living here at the Ashby. The grounds are kept pristine. The pool is always clean and has a large cabana, especially nice if you have little ones. The office staff is wonderful and helpful. The maintenance crew is great, if anything needs attention in your apartment they’re there to fix it. The dog park is large and all the dogs are friendly. The community parties are always fun and a great way to meet your neighbors.

The move in process was super easy and everyone was incredibly helpful. I was able to get moved in within a week of touring. I have nothing but good things to say about the place.

The good: The staff, maintenance team, groundskeeping, pool, gym, and location are all second to none. The buildings are kept clean, the landscaping actually is "resort quality," and so much is within walking distance. Love the staff too. The bad: You'll spend a lot to heat or cool your place, noise can be an issue (both outside and in the hall, as well as above you) due to poor noise dampening/window choice/insulation. Between deliveries, moving in/out, landscaping, etc., you'll feel like you're on a construction site many days, especially when you open the windows in warmer weather. That's really it though. Everything else is great, and I'd highly recommend living here to anyone interested.

Staff is friendly, apartments are clean and a great place if you have a dog. Neighbors are great and lots of amenities around, like south hills village shopping center and tons of great restaurants!!!

Good location-close to shopping, dining, medical facilities. Love parking in the garage! Grounds are well maintained. Maintenance is superb-requests responded to in a timely manner. Common areas are beautiful. Office staff are friendly & responsive to issues. Safe place to live.

The apartments are great. I can't hear my neighbors. My building has the worlds slowest elevator which is very frustrating. Our move in time doubled because of it and every time I need to take my dog out it adds so much time.

We love the Ashby! Our apartment is modern and spacious for just the two of us! The staff are friendly and helpful! We are so happy here. Can’t wait for summer again, the pool is awesome! Husband loves the state of the art gym!
With the exception of poor heat/cold and sound protection due to going low on the windows and insulation, as well as wooden floors instead of concrete and poor noise dampening from your unit into the hallway, he place is great. The pool, gym, and otther perks are nice, and the staff is always very helpful and friendly. The location is great also, and the landscaping is phenominal, to say the least.
My move-in experience has been exceptional. The leasing manager worked with me on my unique case to find a unit that would be perfect! So far all the amenities are great. I am looking forward to using the pool when it warms up!
Absolutely love living here from the grounds and amenities, the location, and most of all the staff! They stay on top of everything and are always available!
So far, my wife and I have really enjoyed our time living here at The Ashby. I really like the sense of community and great office staff! We also love the pool and barbecue areas during the summer months.
