Do not move here!!!! There’s constant leakage of water from the bathrooms and the Air conditioner. Even leaking from fixtures. Bugs and no pest control. The Management/Staff are the most unprofessional, incompetent and non responsive to any issues that arises. Things will go undone and upper management are just as clueless as the onsite staff.

Lovely property and friendly staff I moved to The Ashford Brookhaven in June 2024. So far, I can honestly say that it’s been the nicest apartment complex I have ever lived in. The rooms are spacious, bright and airy with many windows and my balcony overlooking the forest is such a tranquil place to chill and drink my morning coffee. The storage space is phenomenal. I have two hall closets, a pantry and his and hers walk-in closets in my master bedroom. There is also a spacious closet in my guest bedroom. Even some of the details are well thought out - I love the speckled bathroom sinks that don’t show the dirt as easily. An added bonus is the spacious and pretty clubhouse where you can hang out and watch TV or chill and do your work. The pool is really inviting also, and they even organize resident events such as pool parties. I really have felt very welcome here, and I even enjoy walking around the beautifully wooded complex. The fact that this is a gated community makes it feel more secure too.

Gate is always broken and there are these weird little bugs that I’ve never seen before in my life. Apartments are spacious but they are old no matter how hard they try to come cover up with renovations

Giant roaches, incompetent office staff, and mold are what you'll find at The Ashford. Do yourself a favor and don't rent here.

I was excited to move in here because it was more spacious and cheaper than everywhere else. but it is NOT worth it. It ended up being really expensive with utilities because the sewer fee is at least $60/mo and our cooling and heating bill is consistently 3x higher than my parents FOUR bedroom house with a basement!!! our heat does not work and has literally broken 3 times. Maintenance takes forever to come and never does a good job, except for one time they had to fix the sink. They are super nice but super slow and uncommunicative. They also claimed to fix the heating system they would have to add more wiring which would cause a fire? But when they measured the temp. it was at LEAST 4° lower than what we had it set at in every room.... one room was 60° when we had it set at 70°. I hate living here so much and it has significantly affected my mental health as I have had to be home a lot during the pandemic and have had to literally wear a hat and gloves inside. We woke up to it being 62° inside according to the thermostat multiple times. Additionally, my entire closet fell down and I had to put in 3 separate requests to have it fixed correctly and they will most likely still have me pay for the damages. AND our bathroom ceiling was leaking and was ‘fixed’ only to have black mold form. They WIPED IT OFF AND PAINTED OVER IT!?!?!! Obviously that didn’t work and it eventually started leaking again until the ceiling fell through. all over our bathroom floor. They came in, cleaned it up and fixed the bathroom upstairs. And then left a GAPING HOLE in our bathroom ceiling for 3 days until I came to the conclusion that they weren’t going to fix it and had to submit another request. Oh also, our AC froze when we had it set to 72° and the sink disposal doesn’t work properly. There are tons of roaches in the summer, fall and spring even though they charge a pest fee every month. Also, almost forgot. when we moved in the dishwasher was disgusting and we had to clean it out ourselves after hours of moving and organizing, and the top self wouldn’t pull out all the way. Then months later it leaked all over our kitchen floor and had to be replaced. which took over a week and then the ‘new’ one, which i’m pretty sure was taken from another apartment. Long story short, you will be miserable here do NOT move in.
I have lived here for six weeks. Our apartment is infested with the largest cockroaches and prehistoric bugs I have ever seen in my entire life and I am from Florida. I killed a spider whose body was half the size of the palm of my hand. Reactionary time from maintenance is slow to pitiful with regard to pest control. Do not rent here. I cannot wait for my lease to be up. This is unbelievable and disgusting and I can’t sleep at night.
Originally we moved into our current complex with high hopes but soon found ourselves in a nightmare situation that we wouldn't wish on our worst enemies. It began with the discovery of a leak in our daughters closet. Soon we were seeing black mold coming through the walls and growing on the carpet. Maintenance was sent out a week later but only cleaned and covered the mold with Kilz and pulled up the carpet padding to put outside to dry. Padding stayed outside for two weeks before being brought back in and relaid. Month and half later ceiling in closet caved in from leaking water from upstairs apartment, ruining half of daughters closet items. What items remained were put outside on patio in which they remained for three months and were also ruined in the end. After many calls to the office, maintenance again was sent and came out a week later. Over the next three months, they again attempted to correct the issues only having the black mold continue to return. During this time, the walls and ceilings in the dining and living rooms had black mold growth from leaking on outside building wall. All of us developed respiratory problems and headaches. Corporate got involved and came up with a plan to move us to another apartment unit after determining the issues could not be corrected effectively. Our move into the new unit across the parking lot from old one began with high hopes too. However, since move three weeks ago we have now been dealing with a pest infestation that involves cockroaches, water roaches, two types of ants, fleas, bed bugs, tree worms, and slugs. We have bombed twice now with no luck. So far no one from apartments have returned our emails or phone calls.
