Property Ratings at The Aster
This property is unsafe as the number of cars being stolen from the parking lots has been increasing lately. Additionally, the property managers gave a whopping 3 day notice prior to resealing the parking lots and towed all cars that were in the way at the owners expense (including people who were out of town). They did try to call the resident before towing but apparently their records are incomplete so some residents numbers weren't linked to their cars so they just towed the car anyway, I think this happened to a total of 13 residents. Other than how they treat cars the aster is nice. So if you want to live here just buy a horse or ride a bike.
The leasing process is really jacked up. I've lived in apartments in the triangle area for 20 years and every property I've lived at has been managed by a different company and hands down this is the strangest: 1. Credit Check (not so strange) 2. Two most recent paycheck stubs (weird) 3. Bring by my passport OR SSN and License (weird) 4. Then you're approved and have to pay a deposit but maybe not depending on how the Leasing Agent understands this policy. Just want to note this: the credit check system ALL apartment management communities use also does a criminal background check so there's no reason to fill out a form for this. I went through with this process and paid the app fee. I've had questions off and on and have tried to reach the LA (or anyone that could help me) or emailed and she doesn't reply back with an answer so I have to call again. Now today, the Leasing agent (ignoring my email again) left another message-can I send her my paycheck stubs again because the computer system ( Rolling my eyes here) lost them. Yesterday she called asking me to forward a document she never sent me.
Don’t waste your time. They are awful with communication and the staff is incredible incompetent. They are extremely disrespectful and mishandled our entire application process. Now I am out $300 that they refused to refund (even though we cancelled our application within 72 hours). They didn’t record our cancellation so now there is no proof of it. Besides that, they spoke to me like I was a child and made no attempt to resolve the situation. Avoid this complex don’t be fooled
I absolutely love living at the Aster. I had to sell my house and move closer to my job and didn't want to feel like I was living in an 'apartment'. The Aster has delivered with a top notch community that feels like I am living in a resort! The atmosphere and amenities are wonderful. I don't miss living in my home at all! I plan on making the Aster my home for many years!
The Aster is a great place to call home. Great sense of community, close to most shopping, and the staff is so helpful and professional. There are many living space options to choose from. This was a very good choice and will be for anyone who decides to make this their home.
When looking for a home, I was concerned about Location, New/Modern and floorplan. The Aster checked off all 3. Being right near 540 makes my commute to work more efficient and also being off Route 55 can get me to places I need to go such as visit family. The community and the Aster is very new. The appliances in the room, as well as technology in all of the common areas are all up to date and make that modern feel a joy to come home too. The floor layouts were conducive to the lifestyle I enjoy. The open space from kitchen to living room gives a great hosting environment for family and friends. The kitchen is roomy and gorgeous. The sleeping space is ample for a queen size bed with enough storage for any furniture you need. The double vanity is an added bonus in the bathroom with a roomy closet with in home washer and dryer. I never need to leave my apartment, it has everything! My personal favorite is the balcony overlooking the courtyard. It is so peaceful to sit out there and just soak in the Zen-like ambiance of people having fun and birds chirping. It is definitely my happy place. I could not be more appreciative of the support from the Aster leasing team. It was a simple and easy process to go through and they were available every step of the way, answering any questions I had. They went above and beyond for me and made the whole transition into my new home seamless. I have full confidence in their service and pride of their community. It feels like they genuinely care about my experience here. This place can feel like a resort get away sometimes. If it wasn't for work or the necessity of food shopping, I might never leave the grounds. Grateful to live in a space like the Aster. Proud to call it my home.
I feel blessed to live at The Aster and the team gets FIVE STARS.
Great place to live', nice design and great management staff and very good maintenance staff.
I can't say enough good things about The Aster team. They genuinely care about their customers and have exceeded ABOVE AND BEYOND my expectations! I feel like they are my extended family. The amenities are exceptional and I love my open & airy apartment.
The Aster is a terrific place to live. The staff is knowledgeable , courteous, friendly and helpful. The residents are very friendly as well.
Aster is a great place to live . We have personally experienced with good amenities, helpful staff always, good neighbors, aster community always trying to connect . Its good to be home. I recommend it. Thanks for everything. Renuka
The Aster is a great place to live and telecommute as well. I a great community for all age groups, from 1 to 92, and your four-legged family members as well. There is always something do in The Aster community and the surrounding area. So far, I have enjoyed my experience here.
Value and design along with responsive and friendly management makes this a great place to live.
The Aster is a very nice community and the apartments are beautiful! My one bedroom is spacious and comfortable, the upgraded appliances are great, and my balcony is huge. Leasing Office staff have been wonderfully accommodating since move-in and maintenance is on point, completing requests in a short period of time and always showing concern and respect. All Aster staff has been friendly and pleasant. The community is pedestrian-friendly for getting in those 10,000 steps, it offers great amenities (e.g. valet trash) and frequent community events and is conveniently located near retail shops, restaurants and major highways. The only hard part of moving in and getting to and from my car is the elevator. The Manors have only one elevator for these long hallways, something current management inherited and cant do anything about; however, it would be great if there was a way to buzz in guests rather than having to walk down to open the secure door. Speaking of which, yes, the low-rise buildings have secure, controlled access. Great job! (I am not writing this under duress nor for any monetary gain and have not been offered an incentive in exchange.)
We love The Aster. The apartments are beautiful. The amenities are great. The staff is friendly. The cost is fair. I would definitely recommend for quiet, comfortable and modern living.
I enjoy the location of Aster apartments. The location is convenient, very safe and clean. I love the newness of it all. Its beautiful! The staff is pleasant and very helpful with everything. The whole environment makes you feel like you live on a resort. Its refreshing coming from NY.
I love seeing people out walking, either together, alone or with pets.
Friendly and approachable staff. Activities engaging community with variety of things. Juan and Carmen do their best here. Good atmosphere, amenities. I love my home Aster. Thankyou! Renuka
The staff has always been very helpful and very nice.
I am currently in the US Army and one if the most stressful things is moving. I am new to North Carolina and it was a bit stressful trying to get something in a timely manner and to my liking! Tha Aster was my last resort before leaving and it became my final decision!! Everyone knows customer service sells and Sandy was like a breath of fresh air. She was all smiles, the energy was there and whatever questions or concerns I had she made sure she had the right answers. The communication with her is on point. The Aster is also known for their great events they host for residents which i admire. Been here almost 2 months and I love it.
overall I enjoy living here its peaceful. A few things surprised me like we pay for all the utilities, like gas, electric, water, I wasn't told that at the initial leasing the quality of living is worth it. I have no other choice, I moved here from far away. I would make this move again there's no doubts just I would to have been notified of all responsibilities.
From the beginning we had a great experience with everything. The agent Tiffany was very helpful and patient with us. Helped me and my wife get a place and she was so great we got my mother in law a place as well. She made sure we were always good and if there was an issue she fixed it right away.
Beautiful, friendly place to live and raise your family. Plenty to do. I'm completely amazed.
Management needs to step up. Office has been closed since the pandemic If I want to speak to anyone face to face need to stand by the locked doors and knock
Staff is great, beautiful grounds, and reasonably quiet
The floor plan are excelente, the community is really nice, the location is great.
This is the worst placed I lived in, do not get fooled by the good look of the apartments. Management does not have any idea on how to do basic customer service, nor they care about it. They never solve a problem when you approach them. Most of them just lie to your face. They do not communicate between each other. Dog poop everywhere. Community Rules not enforced. Lots of noise from other apartments since walls are cheap hotel quality. Really bad experience living here for a .
Due to the pandemic corrections that needed to be made took some time and that was understandable. Dennis , from maintenance, spent time with us during the corrections and did a supurb job. One remaining item concerning paint touch up of a cabinet drawer remains and he assured me that after finding the paint it would be taken care of. The people here, both tenants and management, are friendly and engaging. After only one half month of actually living here coupled with a full month of moving in we are pleased with our decision to move here.
The amenities such as having an actual squat rack outdoors, and somewhat complete gym with a hex shaped deadlift bar and Olympic bar, Smith machine, medicine balls, dumbbells, treadmills, rowing machine, climbing machine, true run machine etc... are well received. The fact that the lap pool is open year round and is heated with salt water is also amazing if your a swimmer. Now to the bad. Your required to purchase a poop test kid if you have a dog yikes at extra cost. But despite that the grounds still have random accidents all around but no testing. The dog park is disgusting and a joke it’s just some sand with a few obstacle pieces. The dog parks of fellow apartment communities are 10 times nicer. Also the dog park is essentially away from the community in the town home section making it unreasonably far for dog owners. The walls are thinly made with noise traveling between floors and walls very easily. So much so that the amount of noise complaints is ridiculously high that management has had to send multiple emails to remind people to be quiet. Multiple car thefts and break ins. Even so much as a car was stolen and then crashed into two other residents cars. Then there is management. Management is overall unhelpful with constantly changing staff. Since the latest leasing company has taken over things have gone down hill with many of the original staff gone and new staff unhelpful. So basically if your a fitness nut who wears noise canceling headphones and doesn’t own a car or a dog this is the perfect community for you.
I'll try and keep this brief. The Aster is a wonderful place to live. The amenities on site really add value and yet the price to live here is amazing. It was one of the first things that attracted us. All the amenities and social areas are kept clean and neat by the staff. The community/residents really take care of the areas as well. Theres an indoor and outdoor gym, salt water pools with 1 being heated year round, dog spa to keep your furry friend happy, and so much more. There's even a personal lockable storage room so how can you beat that. Some are next to your room and others are grouped together in larger rooms (all individual however like closets not those horrible fenced ones you see in other places). The community is very friendly for everyone we have met so far. There are a mix of all sorts which is nice and I feel more families here. Its diversified, quiet, respected and safe. The staff is one of the best to have for your community. They treat you special and go out of their way more than they need to accommodate sometimes. The staff is also very friendly and fun, especially at the community events! Maintenance is another huge positive. They work fast and are friendly as well. We were first in our apartment so there were some of those settling new home items that come about and maintenance took care of them right away and we have been good ever since. Now for The Aster events - they are fantastic! Scott and Lor set up unique events that you can see a lot of work is put into behind the scenes. The staff do a great presentation (i'm using the word great a lot but they are great) setting them up. Some unique ones we have had were grilling personal pizzas and even a holiday photo shoot. Parking is nice. Its typically open. Gets little crowded more on holidays and events around certain parts but still always able to park. Lastly the home we love. Its one we feel is home when get home which is the most important thing we all look for.

We cannot thank you enough for highlighting all aspects of what makes the Aster a WONDERFUL place to call home for anyone who is currently out there searching! See you at the next resident event:)
Moved in from out of state, and I couldn't have asked for a more efficient process in settling into the Aster. The onsite fitness center is elite! High quality apartment features, exciting property amenities such as the resort-style pool area, onsite CARES team significantly adds to the community aspect, and all overseen by a great group in both the front office and maintenance teams!

Hi, thanks for your praise and kind comments about our community and team!!!
My husband and I are considering relocating to Cary in the next few months and we decided to stop by to tour at The Aster to see what they had to offer. When we walked in the property manager immediately greated us and then introduced us to Deanna and Meredith. They were all AMAZING. The property was gorgeous and it has so much to offer. I love the fact they the property has side by side refrigerators and stand alone showers, that was a major plus for me. My husband loves the state of the art fitness center!! The property will also have 3 pools, which is great because I can take my 5 year old twins to another pool if one is too crowded. I worked in the apartment industry for a few years so I usually have pretty high expectations when looking for a new apartment home for my family, and Deanna was very impressive and didnt miss a beat when it complaining to explaining all of the in and outs of the property. The Aster is lucky to have Deanna and Meredith. If we do decide to relocate we will definitely be choosing this place, not only because the property was gorgeous, but also because of the OUTSTANDING customer service that we received.
