Property Ratings at The Atlantic Howell Station
Will definitely be my last year living here. The rent here is ridiculously high and got even higher during the pandemic. Having to decide how much food you can buy because the rest of your money is going to paying rent our here is just insane. These apartments are far from brand new so the price gouging is totally unnecessary.

Dear Resident Thank you for providing us with a review, we are sorry to hear about this issue you having, feel free to contact the office so we can discuss your options. Thank you management.
Just a bit of a 'heads up' .... might have to take out a loan if you choose to live here. After the beginning of the pandemic, they jacked up the rent here several hundred dollars. As people continued to lose their jobs, they continued to raise the rent prices as if they'd never heard of the word "recession". I know rent is high everywhere but if you're going to be priced gouged and taken advantage of, at least let it be for a brand new apartment in a new neighborhood.

I've lived in my 2 bedroom 2 bath for almost a year now. Maintenance responds quickly and efficiently. The office staff is absolutely great; very sweet and helpful. They make it feel like an extended family rather than just business transactions. My daughter loves the monthly resident events they do! I do as well because it's a great way to meet your neighbors. Keep up the good work guys! You are appreciated :)

Thank you so much for your 5-star review! We are thrilled to hear about your positive experience with our maintenance and office staff team! We enjoy hosting resident events and would love your feedback on future ideas as well. Come stop by the office any time to share and say hello! We'd love to thank you in-person for the stellar review. Thanks again, The Atlantic Howell Station Team
I have been here for a year, but it doesn't even feel like it. I am really enjoying my stay here and when you're having a good time, time will fly! The staff is always putting together mini events (that involve food :D ) for the community, for instance Taco Tuesday and Ice Cream Friday. They also do a great job with keeping the community neat. How many property managers actually step out their office to pick up trash?? Other than the staff, my apartment was renovated when I moved in, which was nice. Since then, the leasing office and gym had been renovated as well. Everything has a more modern touch, but you don't have to pay that high price, which is a PLUS. I recommend this place to all of my friends and family!

Wow, thank you for the incredible 5-star review! We're so thankful to hear you love the renovations inside your apartment and throughout the community. We agree and love providing our residents with the best resident events to enjoy some yummy food! Which food cuisine would you like to see at our next event? Thank you again for taking the time to write us such an awesome review and please don't hesitate to contact our office should you need anything from us. We are always happy to help. - The Atlantic Howell Station Manager
Completely terrible place to live! These poorly built, poorly remodeled apartments are paired up with an incompetent maintenance staff and they are all orchestrated by a disingenuous management team. Anyone looking to live in the Duluth area should really consider elsewhere! These apartments are drafty, the parking lots are unsafe (break-ins!!!) and the management will ensure that anyone who gets tricked into a lease will want to run as soon as they can!

When I moved into my apartment, I immediately noticed that it did not look like the model. It looked un-kept. The tub had a couple of layers of paint, where they had painted over it, instead of removing old caulking and recaulking. There were gaps in the counter tops where bugs came through. The ceiling in the walkways were sagging and rotted. 1)The complex told me that the gas service would be on when I arrived and transferred to my name. I arrived to a note that stated Teresa in the front office would not let them in to turn the gas on. I had to wait from Friday until Tuesday. 2). I slept the couch until my new mattress arrived. When I finally moved into the bedroom, I started seeing bite marks all over my body.(Note: I was already seeing roaches and spiders and had requested pest control). I reported this to management and again pest control could not come out on Saturday, so I had to wait over the weekend for pest control. The first pest control guy said he sprayed and I continued to see bite marks. The staff tried to keep me from hearing the assessment, but the 2nd tech said the bugs looked a lot like bed bugs. It took another several days to fix the problem. 3). The hot water heater was no longer functioning. Again, I'm without hot water. 4) I received a knock at the door on Sunday November 5th and it was the maintenance guy. He said that there was a leak in the downstairs apartment and I needed to turn off the air conditioner. He never fixed the air. At that point I was scheduled to move out on November 8th, but I decided to move on the 7th and I informed the office of this and I asked to schedule a move out walk through. Teresa told me to let Alex know when I was ready. I emailed and said it would be after 4. I arrived at 5:40, she said Alex was out and she wasn't doing the walk through. I asked could she call Alex and let him know that I was ready for the walk through. She said no and the he would not do it because it was too late.(Which is not what she stated a few minutes prior). She never mentioned what time I needed to be there to perform the walk through. They refused to perform the walk through. I believe that this is an effort to deny returning the remaining deposit. The complex is untrustworthy, the manager Mikyle is never available, Teresa is unable and unwilling to do anything other than sit at her desk and they leave the grunt work to Alex (explain why they can't fix things in a timely manner).

Hello, Thank you for your review. I'm sorry to hear that your residency with us was less than than satisfactory. It is our every endeavor to create a positive living experience for you in a community that you can be proud to call home. I apologize that you experienced pest control issues while living here. We were in close touch with our pest control vendor that was treating and inspecting your apartment home, who sprayed the unit several times after your mattress was delivered and confirmed that there were no longer any traces of pests. When you came in for your move-out inspection you were informed that Alex was touring an apartment but that he would gladly assist you with the inspection as soon as he returned from the tour. I understand that you did not want to wait, but please know that we do not tolerate physical threats to our staff members and when it continues even after being asked to leave we must contact the authorities for the safety of our team members. I apologize again if you feel that this situation could have been handled better. We have done our best to accommodate you in every way we can. Again thank you for your feedback and we wish you the best.
You have to fill out the rental application online. I was in the when the program froze. But they already had my credit card information and charged me $200. I couldn't finish the application they don't have most of personal info, they don't even know where I work. but they refuse to give me back my money
They are old apartments and investment in improvements is very poor. The garden is very poorly maintained. For the price you pay it is very high due to its poor state of the buildings. This well located but should be improved.
THE BUILDINGS ARE OLD AND OUT DATED. THEY KEEP GOING UP ON RENT. MY RENT IS NOW 992.00. THE LANDSCAPE IS NEVER DONE; THEY MAY PUT DOWN HAY STRAW ONCE A YEAR. THEY CUT DOWN THE BUSHES IN FRONT OF THE PATIO. PLAY GROUND IS NEVER CLEAN.
I have been a long time resident and whenever that happens, that must mean that the apartment community is good. The size of the bedroom(s), kitchen and other living spaces are roomy and the layout of the floor plan is good. The apartments do not look run down or decrepit at all on the outside or the inside. The noise level is as expected which is very minimal. Some things that I do not like about the complex are minor issues such as staff members come and go (which seems to be frequent in many apartment communities), when the carpet gets cleaned after each renewal, there is always white residue that's left behind and the patios for the apartments upstairs are not covered. But, other than that, this community has proven itself to be a great place to live.
The apartment in the inside is great and has awesome amenities. Large two bedroom with fireplace and the rooms are spacious. Neighborhood is quite and per friendly
I never leave negative reviews because I tropically like helping local business, but the apartment staff at this location has the worst customer service in the industry. I moved into the apartment when it was under different management and loved it. It has since been bought out, and the current staff is beyond rude. If you have any issue, no matter how small, they will blame you, make you feel like it is your fault, and typically not fix the problem. On more than one occasion they have "lost" mail packages that only appeared weeks later when I could prove through tracking that they had my package. Maintenance is poor. Half of my electrical outlets do not work even when I have made multiple maintenance request. Same with my dishwasher and fireplace. If I could do it over, I would not move here and I will not be renewing my lease. DO NOT MOVE HERE.
The entire leasing office is rude and disrespectful. I've been having issues with the new management every since they took over. Nothing gets fixed and they do not care. I've have spoken to the corporate office numerous times and nothing still has been resolved. I am at the end of the rope with this horrible place. They do not take responsibility for anything. Every time you report a problem they always have a nasty comment, like it's your fault. Your best choice will be choosing another apartment to stay in. I've stayed in numerous apartments and I've never had problems where I had to deal with disrespectful leasing office. DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Do yourself and family a favor: do NOT move here. Read all the reviews, specially the negative ones, THEY ARE NOT LYING. The leasing office, that's all they are good at: leasing. Expect them to be rude every other time you need something to be done around your apartment, because they will. They could care less about the problems your apartment has, and will do little to nothing to fix whatever it is that needs to be done. Believe me, I had MAJOR situations, and they did NOTHING. Be ready for THE WORST. Save yourself headaches, pointless phone calls and visits to the office.. they do NOT care. The "show" apartment should not be your guide.. NONE of the "real" apartments are in that condition. NOT A SINGLE ONE.
