Property Ratings at The Atlas
I am approaching the end of my lease here at The Atlas & I can't say enough positive things about my time here. First & foremost, as I saw in another review, the walls are THICK. I almost never hear my neighbors. I also have a dog, who (when worked up) can definitely do her share of barking. I moved here from an apartment with super thin walls & I was concerned that her "vocals" would be an issue. Not only did I not receive any complaints, but the building here is full of fellow dog lovers. You do get some street noise, but that's about it. Other perks to living at The Atlas: great finishes in the apartment (granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, etc.), gated parking, the staff is very friendly & helpful, and the other tenants truly are nice & considerate of one another. The rent can add up quickly as you do pay additional fees for pets, parking & any short-term leases, but you get what you pay for & The Atlas is well worth it. If I were staying in the area, I'd continue living here.
I recently ended a rental of an apartment on the 9th floor of the Atlas. I had to relocate to another part of Columbus but if I were to return to downtown again the Atlas would be my top choice. What I enjoyed the most about my Atlas experience was how quiet my apartment was. Naturally, there was street noise--if you live downtown that is to be expected. But I rarely heard any noise from the surrounding apartments. It was wonderful to be relieved of the stress of having to listen to the cacophony of neighbors. I also enjoyed that those who lived around me and in other parts of the building were friendly and courteous. Add all of this to a beautiful historic building, a great location, 3 elevators, and attached parking.

Thank you so much for your kind words. We are glad you enjoyed your stay here!
We are currently tenants in one of the 2 bedroom units on a high floor at the Atlas. The issues began shortly after we moved in. There is a very loud club called Long Street Live across the street, and because the windows are poor quality, pretty much every Saturday night between 10am and 3am it's very difficult to sleep. All the Saturdays when we are not going out we can't do anything to make the noise stop at home. This summer alone, our central AC has broken 3 times. Today as I'm writing this, it is 86 in the apartment and the central AC hasn't been working for a week. Yes, that means no AC for a week. On Wednesday they finally gave us one of the 4 window units (yes this building of 60 units only has 4 window air conditioners). This AC only cools one room and will probably triple our electric bill. The electric and water in this building is a joke. There is a "common" charge on EACH bill so about $35 x 2 each money is the tenants paying common charges, as if we owned these apartments. When I told the building management that the single portable window AC is not cutting it for our apartment, I wasn't offered a solution, I was simply told "if you absolutely cannot stay there let me know and we will give the AC to someone else." I have lived in many buildings and cities and never received service that was this poor. Avoid this building and try one of the other buildings downtown with better service.

Can't say enough good things. Convenient parking right behind the building, walking distance to arena district and north market. $5 uber to anywhere downtown. The history and aesthetic of the building are unmatched. If you're in the market, you must at least look at it. I looked at every other luxury building and kept coming back to Atlas. Lindsay and Wendy who manage the building are great, I hope they're here as long as I am!!
