There's much more to Champaign's sister city of Urbana than you might think. It is a lively college town, home to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, it has a long and fascinating history, and it is family-friendly and beautiful. While it is usually tied to its next-door twin, Urbana stands out on its own -- Downtown Urbana is the city hub, home to Market at the Square, a farmers market that began in 1979. The historic downtown features historic architecture, bike lanes (and plenty of bike racks), sidewalk cafes, period lighting, and a wide variety of shops and restaurants.
In addition to the university, Urbana is home to the Beckman Institute for Advanced Science and Technology, a research institute located on the university's campus. The neighborhood attracts those with children, thanks to its top-ranking schools, and it features beautiful parks, such as Crystal Lake Park and Meadowbrook Park.

Property Ratings at The Atrium
I've lived here for 3.5 months. I was having trouble with the bathroom, I contacted the emergency number. The problem was handle Quickly and efficiently. I recommend this little treasure to anyone on a budget or on a temporary work assignment. property well maintain.
I've lived here for 2 years so far and its a great "off campus" location. Its on a bus route directly to the U of I, every 10 minutes when school is in session and every thirty minutes in the summer. The building itself is kinda old, but it gives that inviting feeling of being a previous hotel style and look that says: "welcome" with open arms. It has an indoor pool, sauna and hot tub, along with a sparse weight room and a sub par rec room that has two pool tables and a dart board. The interior isn't bad, but dated for sure, it even has a pond with Koi fish, but maintenance lacks in this complex if it was on par, this would be an awesome experience otherwise. While each apartment has four individual rooms, each leased out per person, all utilities are included in the price of the room. Internet is included in the price per month as well, so that draws in the college crowd fast. The rooms themselves are enough for 1 person. roomy enough that you wont feel cluttered by your stuff you have but not over-sized where you feel like your living the good life. Most apartment dining rooms are very small and combine with the living room. Most of these re-renovated, but some are not, leaving much to be desired by a lack-luster of ho-hum of a landlord that is too cheap to accommodate the tenets that rent from him. Stoves are outdated and fire hazards mostly, not to mention the WHOLE building, when it was built, all of the electrical wiring was done backwards, or in reverse. On a lighter side, if your the religious sort, like I am, literately , right next door to the complex is a Vineyard Church. Very convenient and awesome. Its also very quiet around where the complex sits. Its a really nice area to live in. To the south of the complex there is a BBQ grill open to the residents too, that is free access and just beyond that a small man-made pond you can relax at and let your worries drift away Over all you get what you pay for. Rent is 400 per month, per room and nothing ever gets fixed hardly. But if you can stomach that and enjoy the surrounding area ,it's not a bad set up over all. Joshua C. Urbana,IL
I've lived at Atrium Apartments for a little more than 2 years and I've never had any problems. It's a great deal if you're on a budget. $400/mo includes all your utilities plus Internet and cable as well as access to the indoor pool, hot tub, sauna, games room and gym. Maintenance is very prompt at responding to issues and management is always willing to help and work with you to find solutions that make everyone happy. All in all, I love this place!
