I was shown a beautiful rented apartment when I toured but upon move-in my apartment was riddled with roaches. I found over 20-40 on the day of move-in. I was in contact with the management team and advised to simply use a roach repellent. Due how horrible the state of the apartment was, cracks in the counters, floorboards, cabinets, it was nearly impossible to get rid of the roaches. I consistently dealt with this for the course of my lease. I would not recommend.
My Ac has been broke for 3 weeks , this place is infested with roaches why because the neighborhood trash is consistently overflowed. I took my trash out today and I swear I seen 3 stray cats bigger than some dogs. Stay away !!!!!

We moved to the Avalon in December 2017 - during our time here, we have been through three management companies, each promising to get things right! NOT! Hawthorne Property Management is doing its darndest to make things right. We have seen many improvements within the short time they have been managing the property. A new dog park is being installed, the buildings are in the process of being completely power washed, repairs or new roofs have been installed, security has been upped, and tenants who chose not to comply have left on their own. Yes, they have further challenges, but all-in-all they are the best thus far. Would I recommend you check us out - I do! We need great people like you to become a part of our community of friends. Oh yes, we had a drive-thru breakfast today to get to know the staff sponsored by Chick-Fill-A and Spectrum. If you live here and missed it, you missed a good breakfast sandwich. Watch for more exciting events in the future. Very satisfied tenant!

The property recently switched management companies, and I couldn't be happier. They have made a lot of improvements around the property right away. And the office staff is so helpful. Especially Westly. He's knowledgeable and does above and beyond to make sure the issue is fixed. And the new Maintenance Guy Jie fixed my AC in no time. I appreciate the following staff and accomplishments.

I was greeted with a friendly smile as i waited to be assisted. Ive been trying for weeks to find a place for my disabled father abd was getting very frustrated. I had the pleasure of speaking with Nasir(which is also my sons name) and he did a wonderful job on making me feel comfortable and explaining the process of trying to get in an apt. I didnt get the chance to meet the other staff just hoping they are as friendly and welcoming as Nasir was.
We first got there Sept. 2017. We stayed until our lease was up, but trust me we wanted to get out of there sooner. Every time I went into the office to ask questions or about a concern that I had, they would give me faces basically letting me know that I was bothering them. Office staff is not friendly. We moved to another complex and we love it here. Such a bad experience here for a first time apartment renter.

Pictures on website do not reflect at all how their apts look!! The unit I was shown was not the unit I was supposed to rent after being told it was. I was moving from a distance and they waited to call to explain their "mistake" when they knew I couldn't come back before the move. Three days before I left to drive cross country to NC they call to say the apt I leased and had already signed a lease for wasn't available any more. After several hours on the phone, they magically found another apt to rent me but the conditions were horrible. They took pictures of the actual unit to send me, purposely avoiding excessive cigarette burns in the carpet and burned holes into counters, beer glass in the carpet, holes in sliding door screen, large holes in walks with wires sticking out, and worst of all a front door that had been kicked in and ripped off the frame. The door didn't stay closed and the deadbolt didn't work which had been present at time of the pictures being taken and they didn't fix it! It took 2.5 months to get a replacement! Trash is constantly piled up I'm front of the dumpsters all the way to the road edge and garbage left in yards. They have zero pride in their community and don't care.

I've been at Avalon Height apts since 2016, and like all apartments you want the most out your living experience. I must say Avalon Height have giving me exactly that. From maintenance to in house staff I am completely satisfied!

Where do I start... Ok. So I didn't get a walk through, I was given the keys and told where the apartment was, which wasn't the 1 that I had seen previously...this place is so bad, they has change Management Companies 3 times since I have been here. It use to be 2 offices for each complex, NOW its only 1 which is dum... our AC unit have been down half of last Summer, and we had the same issue's again this Summer... Also the pool has been down All summer... Dont you wont to enjoy a Pool when its Hott outside and you paying $$$$... The breezeway is filthy dirty,the stairs, walls, and gutters are clogged the trash crew will go 3-4 days without picking up your trash.The office staff doesn't care About the tenants. TO CALL YOURSELVES "LUXURY APERTMENT" IS SO FAR FROM THE TRUTH!!!! P.S THIS PLACE IS ROACH INFECTED... SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!

My upstairs neighbors washer was leaking and caused some severe damage to my laundry room. It was reported and they stopped the leak but never fixed the ceiling. After being a resident for a year they lost my lease and put me on a month to month lease (an extra $200 a month) without telling me. And they admitted that I was not the only one that they haven’t told. They still have not returned my deposit almost a month after I have closed my account with them. This company has despicable communication with its residents and do not care about them either. They only want money and don’t care about the needs of their residents. If I could give them 0 stars I would.
Apartment complex is very clean and the people are friendly. It is a great start for my me, my children and my baby on the way. Management is also very helpful and kind to tenants.
Stay was excellent, quite and very modern day apartment.
