Uptown is where renters choose to live if they love entertainment. Throughout the neighborhood you’ll find everything from walking tours highlighting the hangouts of Chicago gangsters to the city's hottest nightclubs and theaters to the best shops and restaurants around. Uptown Chicago stretches along Lake Michigan and includes the popular summer hotspot Montrose Beach. For those moving to Chicago with a pet, Montrose Dog Beach is also a very popular destination. In winter, Cricket Hill is one of the city's favorite sledding spots.
What is it like to live in Uptown? It’s historic, walkable, and distinctive. Uptown is home to some fantastic landmarks, such as Aragon Ballroom. The ballroom opened in 1926, and legends about secret tunnels and Al Capone abound. During the Big Band era, the ballroom hosted some of the biggest names in music, including Glenn Miller, Lawrence Welk, Guy Lombardo, Benny Goodman, and Duke Ellington.

Property Ratings at The Bachelor
this place is awful. they really trick you with the tour, there's so many amenities and the apartments look nice enough and the location is okay enough that you move in. the management is a joke, they are disorganized and will change numbers without informing you. there's supposedly help offered at the lawrence house but more often than not they will just put you on extend holds and wait for you to hang up. my unit was never cleaned before i moved in and after two weeks of complaining some one was sent over to paint. a deep clean was never preformed. i broke my ankle while walking down the entry way stairs and durning recovery when i couldn't walk i had an issue with the entry way buzzer and whenever i tried contacting management he would gaslight me or never respond. the only saving grace of this place is the apartments are quite and there's is a lot of amenities but the amount of headaches the management team creates it isn't worth it, keep looking this ain't it.
