Located about eight miles northwest of Downtown Orlando, Lockhart gets its name from David Lockhart, a businessman who attracted new residents to the community by building the area's first sawmill. This suburban neighborhood has a quiet, relaxing vibe, and you can find apartments for rent scattered throughout the community. Those who enjoy shopping will appreciate the nearby Altamonte Mall, situated just eight miles northeast of Lockhart.
Locals usually make the drive to the surrounding communities for exciting attractions and nights spent out on the town. Head to Downtown Orlando to visit the Orlando Science Center, Church Street Station, or the Bob Carr Theater.
Expect to find more restaurants and daytime activities the closer you get to Route 441/North Orange Blossom Trail. If you want to go out while staying close to home, head south on Edgewater Drive for plenty of nearby nightlife and entertainment options.

Property Ratings at The Beacon at Seminole Lakes
This is a great community to live in. Everyone stays to themselves and not a lot of hanging out. The only issue is parking. It's not enough parking spot for all the apartments.
Very nice and quiet community. Everyone here are friendly and courteous due to this is an apartment complex. Since living here, we have been happy.
I enjoy living at The beacon at Seminole Lakes. I think Marnie is a wonderful, kind, helpful, accommodating, and very informative property manager. She is always smiling and up beat.
Excelent excelente servicio. Muy bien no tengo quejas de nada. Excelente todo falta seguridad y vigilancia. Todo bien aunque aún falta la lavandería de la parte trasera es de ayuda ya que allí se puede recargar la tarjeta de la lavandería.
Been living here for 2 years and it's ok not bad for the price maybe if it was secured would have make it even better. To me every one respect you onec you stay in your conner and the property manager is good
Community is nice and quiet . Front Desk is quick and kind. There could be a little better with the units it’s some should be really renovated . Also they don’t provide trash cans everywhere u have to walk a bit of distance just to throw trash.Overall everything is nice and everything is pretty calm and collect
We love living here great community we love our neighbors and the kids love there friends here we have lived here for over a year and the staff is so amazing we love Marty she is great and maintenance is always on top of everything
The neighborhood is very quiet and the neighbors keep to themselves. The maintenance guy does a great job as well. Very happy I chose this community to live in.
Los apartamentos son muy bonitos y la atención es buena, me parece que son muy tranquilos y cuentan con los espacios adecuados como lo son el parque, la piscina y la lavanderia

Love it here just renewed my lease for a second year.playground and pool are by each other so you always have eyes on your babies.people are to themselves. Manger marsh is an amazing woman always looking for ways to improve the community for the families here. Pet friendly and family friendly community to live in. Been here 2 years and looking forward to 2 more.affordable rent.
I applied for an apartment and was approved, signed the lease, and received my breakdown of move in charges. 3 weeks from my move in date I emailed the manager with a general question about the apartment and she replied telling me that the people that live in the apartment we were given decided not to move and my application for a different unit I was never informed about was denied and she had told me 9/29 (which is less than a month from our move in date). First of all the application was already approved, the lease was already signed and I had received nothing stating we were denied. 9/29 the office would have been closed due to the hurricane. I emailed back and called back several times for clarification and have been ignored each time and now we have nowhere to live, plus we have a toddler. Do not apply to this place unless you want to waste your time and application fee.
The Beacon was the last place I thought I would be able to get an apartment and or lease with, the first reason I say this is because for me my credit is not the best. The second reason is it is close to the office (my work) and so it is closer than the last few places I have resided in my life. I love the apartment and the friendly environment as well as the staff. I had an issue with the HVAC system not cooling as it should, I created a ticked Thursday evening and BAM! the next morning at 11:40am they were there to get the job done!!! WOW THANK YOU BEACON...... (and Mitzi) as well as the Maintenance staff. I definitely would like to re-new my lease the next term.... This community may be older but here are the plus's 1. Quiet Community 2. Bigger living space and rooms 3. Average rent costs 4. Small community means less crime 5. Friendly staff / maintenance Once again Thank you Mitzi and The Beacon (Anchor Investment Properties) oh and of course not to leave out the maintenance crew. Thank you all............. :-)
I’ve lived here at The Beacon several years now and the new management has been great. If you have a problem they are quick to respond and fast to fix the problem. It’s a small staff but they are always very friendly and helpful when I’ve needed anything. I don’t see myself leaving here anytime soon.
These are affordable apartments that are half-way descent for the price. The management is usually on-time with repairs and addressing issues, and for the most part, residents tend to be respectful of those who live around them. I have not had any major issues with my apartment. It has been a pleasant experience overall. The only downside to the apartments is that they are situated in an area that is not close to any stores. However, if someone has reliable transportation, this is not a problem because the complex sits right in the middle of several neighboring cities where all of the stores, dining and entertainment will be. I've been living in these apartments for a year and it's been pure dreadful. I pay my rent on time every month and consider myself a very good tenant. i been complaining about things that need to be fixed and they have yet to be done. I just found mold and mushroom growing out of my sons ceiling.. I have to get out of here.. I've been having heal issues lately and i think that's the cause of it.. please help
Property Manager at The Beacon at Seminole Lakes, Responded To This Review
UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT. The property has been under new ownership and management since 2018. I'm sorry to hear that your experience with previous management was not such a good one. I can assure you that we take resident maintenance requests very seriously and we handle them in a timely manner. If you ever find yourself in need of an apartment in the future we would appreciate the opportunity to turn your negative experience with previous management into a positive one.
Avesta is a good place with lots of space in the apartments the maintain is rest and they come on time I know the neighborhood may be al but glamed up but it's not the worse Place to live it the landlord is nice the area is kept up they have things they do for the community here like cookouts and Easter huts really nice place
