Although it is the state capital and located deep in the heart of Texas, Austin generally has more in common with places like Portland, Oregon rather than other large Lone Star State cities like Dallas or Houston. Consistently named one of the best places to live in America, Austin combines passions for food, live music, entrepreneurship, iconoclastic attitudes, and Texas traditions into a wholly unique cocktail that people just can’t get enough of.
The expansion of the tech industry and the wild popularity of music festivals like Austin City Limits and South by Southwest have boosted Austin’s profile as one of America’s most in-demand communities of the 21st century so far, attracting people from all walks of life and every corner of the world.
Regardless of their atypical culture, Texas pride runs deep in Austinites. Many of the city’s hip, young entrepreneurs are more than happy to deal in classic regional staples like Tex-Mex food, cowboy boots, and country music.

Property Ratings at The Beckett
•Manipulative-and Rude office staff •Ignoring residents phone calls •No peace/Law enforcement are called every day •Property has trash everywhere •Maintenance takes 2 to 3 weeks •Not a good place for children
So I’m giving this place a 2 star review because of the customer service I received from Jade and Jaylan they were amazing. I flew in from Chicago applying to multiple places due to relocation. When I applied I brought everything that was needed so I wouldn’t need to fax anything afterwards. I was told they do a pre-screening and if that comes back with an approval we can move forward. Mines came back for a denial and they were unable to expound on this. I was given a number to call and when I called that number I was told my rental check came back nothing found as in no broken leases or evictions and my background check came back clean as well. I did have a utility bill that I recently paid off and gave them the receipt for and I still was denied. The two star rating is for them NOT being able to say Exactly why I was denied.
I went twice for a tour. Both times I was turned down and told to come back. The first time I was told to come back because it was too late and the second was because they don’t do tours in the rain but it had stopped raining. When I called to see if my appointment for the following the day was still on since the forecast predicted rain I was told they couldn’t answer that. I’m done! They are very unprofessional. I do not recommend it.
The construction has nothing to do with the traffic, it is one way in and out of this entire area. I have lived in this area 15 years so I have seen this area grow tremendously. I don't even live in AC but I live in the area, companies are building but nothing is being done about the congestion. Come check it out during the school year especially.

Hello. We are sincerely sorry you’ve not had the experience you had anticipated. Your feedback matters to us. Please know that we take all feedback very seriously as our residents happiness is of utmost importance to us. Thank you.
First, don't believe the sock-puppet shilled reviews that tell you not to believe the negative reviews of this area. Believe them! I've lived here for the past 3 years, and the neighborhood is HORRIBLE. No real stores. No real restaurants. It's a 25 minute drive to nearest HEB. This is a food desert. There is literally NOTHING to do out here. The traffic on 969 in the morning is so horrible you almost have to experience it firsthand to believe how awful it is. So you think, OK, I'll just leave early enough to bypass the traffic....yeah, good luck with that. Traffic starts backing up on 969 at 5:30am. If you leave work in Austin to come home anytime after about 3pm, figure on at LEAST an hour commute home. Lastly, just take a look at the canned, scripted responses from the "management" to these negative reviews....they aren't real people, they are bots....and that's how they'll treat the tenants at this apartment complex. You've been warned. Run. Run far, far away.

Hi There, Thank you for your review and we understand your frustration with the traffic and the surrounding neighborhood. We take customer service very seriously here and work hard to respond to all reviews personally. We are excited to open The Beckett and hope to be an asset to the community.
Don't let the past reviews scare you. First, the apartments has not open yet. Second, yes traffic is bad but you will need to learn when to leave. I lived in AC for over 10 years...the area is growing...we just have to wait for them to finish the roads. Lastly, my family has yet to deal with crime. It tends to happen to homes further back in A.C. don't leave your car unlock or items on your porch. Besides that.. this is a great area with great schools!

Hi, Thank you for the review. We are excited to open The Beckett and welcome new residents!
If you don't mind waiting at least 45 minutes on a daily basis, to get out of the area and you don't mind the crime that is going up every day, then you'll love it. If you do mind those things then you will hate it, and you will regret moving into those apartments.

Visit the area during the morning or afternoon commute time and see what it's like - getting to Austin can take over an hour on a good day. Need groceries on the fly? You're driving at least 30 minutes. Also restaurant options? Nope. No buses so you better hope your car is in good shape and you have more than one if you have a family.

There is always a traffic congestion all because of the 1 way street from Austin colony (right next door to these apartments). From Austin colony to 183 it takes typically 45 minutes-1 hour on a weekday 6:30am-8:30am. Traffic starts again now from 183 to Austin colony from 4:30pm-6:30pm again expect about an hours sitting in bumper to bumper traffic. Before moving here take a look for yourself. -concerned neighbor

If you're even THINKING of moving here, I'd ask you to come out to the area on a weekday and see what you're in for (then add all of cars that will be coming from these apts.) You just might change your mind!
