Property Ratings at Bellevue House Apartments
Moved in first day found roaches, termite damage, no hot water, water didn't even flow to the shower head. I was told I would not be getting my deposit back. You've been warned!
Management was pretty good. They were quick to put in any maintenance issues I had & solved then quickly. However, it is not worth the money AT ALL. The kitchen is extremely small, i.e. 0 counter space once you buy a microwave, stove & oven looks like a play set for kids. No central AC so apartment can be very stuff. Loose outlets & there is a bug problem here. I make sure to keep my apartment clean & not crowded but I still end up seeing bugs (dead & alive) like millipedes, centipedes, roaches, & spiders. 2/10, would not recommend. I was desperate trying to find a place the moment I signed the lease which is why I stayed.
When I read in the rental agreement that we have to open doors to maintenance, I didn’t think that meant they could just come in, with or without your permission.. My roommate stated that when he answered the door for maintenance he had already felt the door unlocking whilst unlocking it himself. It’s a bit weird honestly a huge invasion of privacy.
I signed a short term lease for 3 months. Management would not refund the deposit claiming that I should have given them a MONTH notice. Obviously when I rented, my intention was to stay for three months only, which is a 3 months notice. Yet, I confirmed the same verbally after moving in. Furthermore, the apartment was so dirty when I moved in. Would never recommend to anyone.
We appreciate the management for providing a great service for our 3 year stay and taking good care of the complex. Sincerely Vic Rao
I hope you enjoy a place that has no hot water. That's exactly what you'll find here. And it's certainly no bargain of a price either. Also, you shouldn't actually live in this apartment because you will be nickled and dimed for every little bit of wear and tear you leave during the course of living at this place. Believe me, you'll owe them money after they evaluate you after moving out. The swimming pool is never cleaned so there's dirt in it all the time and that's when the other tenants aren't drunkingly vomiting into it. This place looks nice from the outside but don't get fooled. Find someplace else to live.
The people who worked for the landlord/property owner were nice but the place itself isn’t safe. Let alone worth the price that they’re charging for rent. I constantly had safety issues and problems with my place. It was uncontrollably hot during the summer even with A/C and in the winter due to the uncontrolled heat. Took advantage of broke college kids.
This isn't a bad apartment. Lived on the top floor on Warner. The studio layout is nice. Leaving because I am in my high 20s and want a few bedrooms. Area is quiet and nice and the building I am in isn't loud or college-like obnoxious. Will keep the reviews updated if they properly follow with forwarding my security deposit.
They will steal all of your money. They will charge you for everything that they can when it comes to your security department. Also the manager knows that you are college students and don't have a lot of money. Management if horrible and shady. The A/C unit is horrible and it really just is not worth the money. Don't live here it is horrible.
I have lived at The Bellevue House Apts the past 3 years and will be leaving at the end of the month. If there's any openings here Take it! I enjoyed my time here so much. Management has been great anytime I had a request they were prompt in returning all calls. Location is great. I was a student at UC only had to walk 2 blocks to campus. The apartment complex sits back in a private beautiful landscaping area and a nice swimming pool to enjoy as well. I will miss this place and all the great friends I met here at The Bellevue House Apts. Thanks so much
There's only one way to put this: DO NOT LIVE HERE! I had countless maintenance issues that took unreasonably long to resolve, and when the manager actually made herself available to talk to I often felt like I'd have had better luck resolving my issues by just banging my head against a brick wall. I left my apartment in equal to if not better condition then I received it, which isn't saying much, but rather than receiving any of my security deposit I was charged additional money due to over $650 worth of "cleaning and repairs" that were completely bogus. Management lied directly to my face multiple times about the early move out policy that states carpet cleaning will be free if you leave at least 5 days before your lease ends, which I did, and they charged me $100 anyway. When I tried to talk to them about this charge they gave me the run around for weeks before I gave up. If I had the resources at my disposal I would gladly spend whatever it took to make sure these crooks see their day in court because I'm sure the hundreds of other tenants they've mistreated have dealt with similar problems. I'd like to reiterate one more time in the clearest way I can, DO NOT RENT FROM BELLEVUE HOUSE APARTMENTS. YOU CAN FIND AN APARTMENT OF COMPORABLE IF NOT BETTER QUALITY FOR CHEAPER. I GURANTEE IT
