About The Bentley
The Bentley is a landmark destination that offers a unique style of living. We offer the best of both worlds, a rich blend of traditional architecture with the latest contemporary features. The Bentley was built in 1917 and was originally constructed as the grand Sprucemont Hotel. After a restoration in 2016, The Bentley has become an urban retreat, where classic meets contemporary. Pre-war opulence and modern style merge in apartments filled with such sought after architectural features as high ceilings and oversized windows. Meticulous attention to detail lends form to function, as each apartment boasts oak flooring, elegant baths, modern kitchens with granite countertops, European-styled cabinetry, stainless steel appliances and cable-ready wiring for high speed Internet access.

Property Ratings at The Bentley
DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! This has been the worst living experience!!!!!! The property manager and maintenance team are a bunch of incompetent fools! Concerns and maintenance requests never get addressed. It will be several months before you hear back, and that's if they respond. There are only 2 guys who do maintenance and they are completely lazy! The place was disgusting when I moved in and none of the maintenance work that was supposed to be done before the move was actually done. They have a pathetic room they call a gym (only has 1 treadmill) and the laundry room is ----, none of the washer and dryers work, they just swallow coins but your clothing remains dirty and damp. The doors and windows are not insulated at all you can hear your neighbors all the time and you will lose money in the summer when cold air escapes and hot air comes in. The building also has heating problems so be prepared to be cold in winter. I cannot wait to move! Any good review about this place is a lie, it was probably written by the management company. The only good thing about the building is the location. Overall, it's not worth it -- considering rent is an arm and a leg
I lived in this building for 1 year between 2016-2017. The building is old and falling apart, pipes and radiators break all the time, the elevators rarely work right, and the management overturns so frequently there have been 4 different building managers in my 1 year stay. The location and views are great, but that's pretty much it
Maintnance is very difficult to get a hold of if you have problems. The property manager has switched over many times, causing more communication issues. They do not release info for someone in charge of the property manager so you have no one to escalate problems to. The building needs a lot of renovations that aren't being done. While the location is great, there were a lot of issues while I lived there (broken radiators, fire alarms randomly going off in the entire building, no hot water at times). All they want to do is take your money. I'd recommend looking at other apartment companies through yelp if you are looking to rent in Philly.
The leasing and property management are totally incompetent. The building is old and they do not want to put work into it, just put a bandaid on every maintnance issue. The property manager changed over 4 times in a year, which just demonstrates that no one wants to work for this company. It's a shame because the building is in a great location and it would be a nice building with some improvements.
Dispite new management, there has been nothing but issues and excuses. Rittenhouse views without Rittenhouse service. Unfortunate.
Lived here in a 2 BR for two years. We were early/mid 20s grad students across the river at Penn. This was the perfect location to be. If you're knew, you'll probably hear Rittenhouse Square. The Square itself isn't that nice. The city starts at 18th street and gets better moving east. If you're a student, I strongly advise not going halfway and choosing a place in the 20's because it is a bit closer to school. 16th street is perfect. The unit was large and comfortable. The kitchen and appliances were modern and in good condition. Plenty of closet space. The fitness room was a bit limited but a convenient option to have if you want to do something quick and can't make it to the gym for a full workout. Staff was very responsive to any concerns we had along the way. Norm, the doorman, is the best in the business, period. And Elise, who keeps the common areas clean, always wishes you a good day. Miss these two, our apartment, and Philadelphia.
