Property Ratings at The Breeze Building
Maintenance will not respond for days on end. Management is extremely disrespectful if you try to explain your concerns. Tenants smoke in the building. Packages are stolen, doors do no close properly, washers constantly flood the laundry rooms. Only good thing is the beauty of apartments & rooftop IF it’s clean. Move somewhere else, way too over priced for lack of care.
The elevator is always broken, the doors to the building are always broken, washers down, and packages stollen all the time.. but the worst is when you have no one to call or no one who cares to fix it. The breaking point was when the owner threw a party mid week blasting music til midnight while his guests parked in your spot that you pay for... Management in this place doesn’t exist. The only time you’ll hear from them is for a monthly rent reminder. Save your money and save your stress... literally find ANY place else.
I’ll start off by saying that actually love my apartment. The hardwood floors, nice fixtures, high ceilings and lighting are great. But it ends there. Management is basically nonexistent. A revolving door of building “people” - not managers, because they have no power. Our current building person couldn’t name his supervisor or the maintenance person’s supervisor. Couldn’t even give me a phone number to anyone above him. Stolen packages, no security, and none of our complaints are taken seriously. Maintenance is even worse. Leaking windows, no insulation, high energy bills as a result. Communication is fruitless - I’ve called, texted, left voicemails, posted on our “portal” - to literally everyone without an answer. This building has been forgotten. DO NOT move here. They need an entire turnover at the leasing office since they can’t be bothered to return resident phone calls.
This place is a total nightmare. For about nine months there was no elevator (though one was promised to me by my City Wide agent) and everyone moving in on the second and third floors had to move their furniture upstairs piece by piece. That was just the beginning. When I moved into my unit, the place was disgusting and they clearly weren't done constructing certain things. Then came the miserable winter we all had to endure. As others have mentioned, the building (and therefore the apartments) are not insulated or temperature controlled so the very weak HVAC system failed to properly heat my apartment. So, not only was I freezing, but my PECO bill was almost $300/month during the winter months. There's also NO gym and NO security in the building. So on top of overpaying for imaginary amenities, we're also literally unsafe in the building. People have come in and stolen our mail and packages which means they could do anything else to us. Management is unresponsive and rude and they've failed to address any of our concerns. These concerns just scratch the surface of the list of things wrong with this building. RUN THE OTHER WAY!!!
No one has ever actually told us who the landlord is. There is no designated person to contact with issues. I pay extra $$ per month to have an assigned parking space. Their employees park in my spot so I have nowhere to park and they do nothing about it. So I'm paying for parking but not actually getting parking. Packages have been stolen twice. When we ask what they are doing about it they say to contact the landlord but won't tell us how. Management is extremely rude, condescending, unprofessional, lies, and has no regard for residents. Construction on site is loud and there are constant toxic fumes that enter your apartment from the chemicals used in construction. They have been open ~ 7 months and still no elevator or gym as promised. There is an alarm that goes off every single day and they have done nothing to fix that.
The workers blare music at 7-8 am and wake you up. They smoke in the building so your apartment smells like cigarettes and you have to inhale it. They don’t have an emergency contact person or maintenance person or building rep to contact with issues. They don’t answer phone calls or emails.
I could go on for days. The building is freezing. They keep the hallways at 30 degrees which makes the apartments even harder to heat and you can’t step into the hallway without 3 coats. The heat is electric and expensive because of the temperature contrast in the building and apartments. Maintenance takes days to be responded to. People park in your assigned parking spot and management does nothing to fix it. Their employees park you in. The construction is loud and early in the morning. There is an alarm that goes off continuously and they have done nothing to fix it. They close the roof without telling you. Multiple heat and water issues. Pipes backing up and you can’t use the sink. Management doesn’t answer emails. Constant false information given. No working elevator. Still no gym. They got rid of the building manager without telling us and never gave us a new person or number to contact with emergencies. Like I said, could go on. Don’t live here.
