Germantown is a historic suburban community about a half-hour drive from downtown Memphis. Originally settled in 1825, the city flourished as a railroad town and now features a variety of modern conveniences.
Old Germantown has a lot of history. Anchored by railroad tracks and the Germantown Train Depot Museum, residents can learn about the locomotives used in the area during its early outpost days. Surrounding Old Germantown, you’ll discover salons, art studios, and delicious eateries near luxury apartments.
With more than twenty-five parks, residents of Germantown enjoy a vast public parks system. Municipal Park is home to Shelby County’s oldest brick home, the John Gray House. Residents and visitors alike enjoy the relics at Fort Germantown off Honey Tree Drive. Community events include horse shows and Germantown Festival. Travel is made simple by way of Interstate 240 and Memphis International Airport.

Property Ratings at The Bridges at Germantown Apartments
If I could give this apartment complex less than 1 star, I would. The staff was rude and the apartment was infested with mold, even after they fixed it the first time. When I told them about the mold that had been making me sick, they said that I would have to wait til they could schedule someone to come out to fix it. It was in EVERY single one of my vents. When they came to fix it it obviously grew back like mold does. When I asked to switch apartments they said that I couldn't. So, I finally decided to move out of this complex for health reasons and requested that they not charge me to move out due to the mold in the apartment and it making me sick. The conclusion was that they would have their boss call to discuss it with me. He didn't and they decided to place it on my credit report as a collections... the audacity. No calls, no emails after October to let me know they couldn't work it out to take the amount off for moving out early. DO NOT rent from this apartment complex unless you would like to deal with the same problems.

Thank you for your feedback, Courtney. Unfortunately, the facts of this situation are misstated. We wish you the very best.
This place when I first moved in was great but after the pandemic I had to be late a few times on rent and after 10 days they sent papers to an lawyer and said I'd have to pay whatever fees occurred. I even gave them a specific day i would be able to pay. They just wanted to make a hard situation harder. Moving here was a terrible decision and urge anyone else to avoid this place.

We set high standards for ourselves, and we’re sorry to hear this was not met in your experience with our community. Please let us know how we can make things right.
Serious bug infestation... don’t let the grounds fool u. You don’t wanna stay here. They need to offer people incentives for staying here as opposed to referrals

Hello, Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that we did not meet your expectations. Please give us a call at your earliest convenience so we can discuss this matter further. manager@bridgesatgermantown.com, (901) 751-7900
Last year we needed to place an employee in Memphis for a term and located the Bridges. All seemed fine when speaking to the sales people. This has turned out to be a management mask as our company manages over 1,000 units in the Western NY state area. Our employee moved in under some cloudy circumstances relating to her dog but the conduct of the staff was incredibly unprofessional. During her stay there was a strong mold odor coming from the living room floor which the management company did deal with eventually along with the flood caused in the bathroom originating from an upper unit. There was further inconvenience with a broken down A/C unit which the repair people attempted to fix by replacing a filter! really? Regretfully the assignment was cut short in Memphis and the lease had to be discontinued. you would think it was the end of the world with charges being reversed and penalties levied. A final bill was issued which could not be paid online because the "account was closed". This required a dog sled check by mail which to my surprise was never received. It was our inquiry as to why the check wasn't cashed before any follow up was received. At that point, we discovered that this company just tossed the whole matter to a collection agency. The staff are incredible unprofessional, rude and never accommodating. We have sent a check by FedEx to settle the matter directly with the bridges. BE CAREFUL, this an outdated complex typical of the mismanaged facilities in the Memphis area that are suffering from poor management, absentee owners and poor maintenance to save costs. You were warned!!

The resident's unauthorized rottweiler was discovered when one of the maintenance men entered for a repair requested by the resident. After the resident's attempt to falsify documents regarding its service animal status, the resident was required to re-home her dog for the remainder of her stay at The Bridges. We have no records indicating that the resident ever complained about a mold smell. While a hot water heater above her apartment did leak, our maintenance resolved issue promptly. Our records indicate that this was resolved on 7/3/2018. After the resident terminated her lease early we collected the charges indicated in her lease for early termination that the resident agreed to upon signing her lease. After not receiving her final payment, we were forced to send her to our attorney. Finally, both the Owners and Management company are actively involved in the property's operations and there is upper management of the Management company located in Memphis. If you have any further questions or issues, please contact our The Bridges main office and we would be happy to discuss these with your further.
I waited a week to see an apartment that they said will have available, after viewing it then agreeing to lease it. I was giving an application to fill by Melissa who said to bring it in by the end of day or early the next morning which I did just to be told the apartment was leased after driving all the way to their office and then she tried to push other apartments that I wasn't interested in. She never mentioned that I can fill an application online when met the day before and when confronted she started arguing that she did. Very unprofessional. Consider other options before wasting your time with them.

Saher, we apologize that you became frustrated with our application process. The first apartment you toured did not offer the view you desired. The second apartment you toured a week later did have your preferred view. Our policy is that we have to have a completed application and fees in order to reserve an apartment and we operate on a first come, first serve basis. Our website does offer the ability to apply online and Melissa did communicate this to you. You were given the opportunity to apply in person and chose to take the paper application home to review. Unfortunately, the apartment leased that evening to someone else online and this upset you. Melissa offered you alternative apartment options that were available. If you have any further questions or concerns about our policies and procedures, please call the office and speak to the manager. Thank you.
