About The Bridget
Truly inspirational. Historic elegance is reimagined in a contemporary design to illuminate your lifestyle. Nestled in the heart of downtown Jersey City, The Bridget is an ideal harmony of classic form and modern construction. These exceptional studio, 1- 2- and 3-bedroom residences — also available as duplexes — invoke the spirit of the site’s previous life as St. Bridget’s church. Its character has been carefully preserved in this stylish conversion to 44 airy loft-inspired residential units. The church’s cornerstone, infused with a distinct and deep mysticism, having been sourced and extracted from the far-off limestone cliffs of the Rock of Cashel — Ireland's most venerated Christian antiquity — forms the focal point of this transformed circa 1889 building. Select amenities include a ccomfortably appointed wifi-enabled indoor lounge area and a fully equipped state-of-the-art fitness center.
The Bridget is an apartment community located in Hudson County and the 07302 ZIP Code. This area is served by the Jersey City Public attendance zone.

Property Ratings at The Bridget
A beautiful, historical property that was converted in seemingly sound apartment with character using the cheapest materials, appliances ever. I was fooled by the architecture and spiral staircase, but this place is a total nightmare. The walls of the units are dry wall with no insulation between them so it’s like we’re in one big room with paper thin dividers. as for ventilation, there isn’t any so moisture collects within the walls, and heating and cooling is just inefficient. There is no air condition in the loft or upper bathroom, just false vents and exhaust fans. The onsite handyman must have been let go, now we have a “super” that responds to tickets almost a month later. Trash collects in the refuse rooms. There was a pigeon problem but it was resolved. There was a gaping hole in the ceiling of the stairwell and that entire walk up smelled like bird poop and was always covered in feathers. Not to mention the weekly occurrence of birds making it inside the building. Packages are stolen frequently. The heat has to be turned on in every unit. Once it’s on forget about using AC, the switch has to be flipped back. The switch is in the ceiling btw. Property management is non-existent. They don’t response to emails. I’ve had property managers from other building call me with all of my person information but didn’t know my address, advising that they can help with my maintenance tickets. I’m not sure what’s going on. There are so many quirks and annoyances with this building. I can’t wait until my lease is over, I’ve contemplated breaking it.
This place is a NIGHTMARE. Paper thin walls, management does not fix any problems and ignores calls/emails, there is no AC in the units, the place is falling apart. When it rains, the ceiling in the stairwell caves in and floods. The doors never lock. We complained 6 times and it still remains an issue. Really bad since it is not in the safest of areas. Please save your mental health and money and do not live here.
Thin, thin walls. You can clearly hear conversations in other units. Poor and very loud AC and heat circulation. No AC or heat in main halls. Landlord is not returning security deposit.
