Rocklin, California sits just 21 miles northeast of Sacramento along I-80. This busy city is more than a suburb -- it is home to Sierra College and William Jessup University. It is filled with shopping plazas, such as the large Blue Oaks Town Center, and a section of Granite Drive is known as "Toy Row." (These toys are for grown-ups -- such as RVs and boats.) Rocklin is directly north of Roseville and residents enjoy easy access to Westfield Galleria at Roseville, providing even more shopping.
You'll enjoy fantastic mountain views when you move to a Rocklin apartment -- the city is surrounded by the Sierra Nevada Mountains and the Sutter-Butte mountain range. Quarry Park features hiking trails and an amphitheater where concerts are often held.
Rocklin has a secret -- the Secret Ravine, that is, which played a large role during the California Gold Rush. Later, Rocklin became a major granite-mining town -- be sure to take some of the Quarry History Tours after moving to Rocklin.

Property Ratings at The Brighton Apartments
I have never experienced such a completely disorganized and invasive management team. While the list of complaints is endless, the most frustrating incident happened when construction was being done to the landing on our second-floor apartment. We got a phone call ten days before construction was to begin asking us if we could be out of our apartment for several days while construction was being done. Mind you, this is in the middle of the pandemic and we were not offered lodging or compensation at this time. After getting heated with management and escalating to First Point, we were finally offered several days at a hotel. However, construction lasted longer than planned so we ended up experiencing about 2 weeks of disruptions. I get that projects are unpredictable but having to advocate for basic things like rent compensation and hotels if we physically can't get to the apartment seems baffling. Other than this, they primarily communicate by taping notices on our doors and the office team does not talk with one another so you get contacted with the same question by multiple office members. The staff is not malicious at all, they are pleasant enough to interact with, but the lack of logic, planning, and organization in all actions and communications is incredibly frustrating as a tenant.

Thank you for taking the time to advise of your stay at Brighton Apartments. You are right, this was a one-off situation that did not go as smoothly as we had anticipated. Pairing poor communication from the construction company and a new property manager, we have learned immensely from this situation. It is only through feedback such as yours that we are able to maintain and certainly, where necessary, improve the service that we provide to our valued tenants. Whilst an apology will regrettably not alter the outcome of your experience, we do extend it with all sincerity. We truly empathize for the days that you had limited access to your home.
Moving to The Brighton has been such an amazing experience. I must add that Jorge made this process efficient and memorable. He was very professional yet personable in uncovering what I was looking for in moving. He was very informative about the area and once He took me on a tour and showed me the amenities I knew it was my new home. He then guided me through the application process and got back to me shortly after. This was by far the smoothest process in finding a place I have encountered. Also the complex is inviting and not too big where I will get lost in endless speed bumps like my old place. The inside is open with lots of natural lighting. The people are friendly and I’m excited to spend my time here especially for the holidays.
Property Manager at The Brighton Apartments, Responded To This Review
Thank you so much for sharing your experience of The Brighton with us! We're thrilled to hear it has been such a positive one and that our staff was so great at helping you find your new home. Feel free to drop by the office or give us a ring if there is anything you ever need. We want to ensure your time at our community remains exceptional! Thanks again for your feedback.
It's not a good place to live. The people in the office are unprofessional and rude.
After the apartments were sold and new management came in everything fell apart. There had always been problems with "security" forgetting to open the pool but we'd be able to tell the manager and she'd get him to open. The new management was lazy and uncaring. I think because they new they were moving us all out we were expendable. And the police were coming more and more often. Didn't feel safe anymore
If you rent here you won't be able to enjoy your apartment at all. Every couple weeks they will need access to your apt. Upon move out they sent a quote for the clean up but ended up shorting extra money in their final check. Regardless if you keep your apt in good condition or not you won't see your security deposit. You will need to have your carpet professionally cleaned which will cost over $$$. Management sucks. Very unprofessional. For the amount of rent theyre charging, at least put a decent size gym for the tenants. If you're having your kids birthday at the pool and need to store cake for few minutes in the lobby fridge - It's not Allowed. Overall an unhappy stay. New management sucks. They need to make changes and have better people work for this property or it will go downhill.
