Property Ratings at The Bristol
DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!! I lived here for one year and had issues from the time I moved in!! When I signed my lease, they had a special for a month and a half off up front. It took them over a month to get the credit applied, claiming they did not handle this process. They continuously kept trying to get me to pay for the rent before they applied the credit but I refused! There was a TERRIBLE roach problem. I tried to be understanding at first since it was clear majority of the units in this complex were empty. The exterminator had to come out 4 times before anything started to improve. Killed over 10 per day!!! Move forward to the Spring, I complained that there was mold all over my vents and throughout my apartment. The property manager stated that it was only dust and refused to send a professional out to check. There was also a leak in the bathroom floor. Every time I would step into the bathroom, water would seep through the floor and leave the mats and entire bathroom smelling moldy and soaked. This eventually lead to the water seeping into my closet. Causing mold to grow on my clothes and shoes. She argued that I could pay for one to come out myself and of course they would not reimburse me. The stackable washer and dryer are the cheapest they could find. They broke 3-4 times, each time I had to wait at least 3 weeks for them to come out after calling daily. The maintenance guys tore the front of the machine off of my washer and never came back to fix it. When I stopped by the office, the property manager told me that other tenants had more important issues than mine so they would not contact corporate to get it fixed. I called myself and they finally sent something out. The last 4 months of my lease, the air did not work at all. Even in the winter, I would wake up dripping sweat because there was no regulated air throughout the unit. When it was time for me to decide whether I wanted to renew my lease or not, I was told that they actually had the complete wrong dates (one year ahead of my correct dates) on my lease so I had to stay otherwise I would have to pay a fee to break my lease even though I had already been there a year. When I asked if the lease could be corrected, she suggested not saying anything to corporate so that we could finesse the rate. Please save yourself the headache.
Since taking over, new management has been an absolute nightmare to work with. They’re unhelpful and rude. Do not live here if you don’t have to.

The Bristol is located in a pristine area of Cleveland Drive in Greenville SC. The staff & maintenance crew are awesome. I feel safe in this community. We are 1-2 miles from shopping, healthcare, library, etc. My wife & I couldn't have made a better choice on where to live. We are retired & just love it here.

I love, and am so lucky to get this apartment that I have. I'm so comfortable here, and so safe. I have the best neighbors that are ready to help me with anything I need. This complex is so nice, the grounds are kept beautifully and the banks planted along Faris road are incredible. We are so near the Medical center and hospital, so near to downtown that we can walk there on the Swamp Rabbit Trail, so near to Churches, shopping and grocery stores. Our complex has plenty of parking, great entertainments scheduled, outdoor movies, good restaurants scheduled for meals that are brought here we can buy for dinner about once a week, a farmers market scheduled and anything you can imagine to buy, dog parks for your dogs exercises and a wonderful staff for help for anything that arises, and a very capable maintenance staff.

A great place to rent! Close to downtown with access to the swamp rabbit trail. Apartments are good quality and maintenance staff is very responsive. The occasional community events and Christmas present wrapping station on the holidays are a nice touch. I occasionally hear the neighbors but the walls arent too thin. Washer and dryer units are compact.

My roommate and I were looking for someplace inexpensive to live to save some money and the Bristol fit that. We didn't do our homework with really looking at the apartment and some of the basics it lacks. For starters the living room and bedrooms don't have lights in the ceilings so you have to buy lamps. There is minimal storage besides bedroom closets. Also the appliances are fairly low quality. The dishwasher has had issues with draining and water then leaks onto the floor. The stovetops are near impossible to clean. The fan for the stovetop is on top on the microwave which does little to help with smoke if you are cooking so the apartment easily fills with smoke due to a lack of ceiling fans as well. Also the living room floor is not level with a noticeable drop off. Overall it's a convenient location but the apartment itself lacks in terms of quality.

No one will ever be able to find a place to feel so safe in the community, be so close to shopping, the Hospital, doctors offices, Churches, banks, anything that you would be able to get in and out of so quickly and safely. The Bristol is a fantastic community with excellent staff, maintenance, residents, and features/amenities. I feel very safe here and I just love the environment inside and out! Although the layouts and interior finishes are not what one would call top-of-the-line, the reasonable rent reflects that. During the six months that I have lived here so far, I have found the management and maintenance staff to be helpful, top-notch in skill and responsiveness, and who make sure that all of the property is well maintained. Generally, the other tenants, although many decades younger than I am, are responsible, relatively quiet, and friendly. The pool and grilling area are big a bit hit during the summer. Allover, a pleasant and affordable place to live so close to downtown. Definitely pet friendly in all aspects. And, there is NO problem with cell phone connectivity here.

The Bristol Apartments is a wonderful place to live if you want to take advantage of downtown Greenville and the surrounding area. The complex is well maintained and offers several amenities while remaining relatively affordable. It is a great place for a wide range of age groups, singles and families, and is especially friendly to pets. My family has not lived at the Bristol for very long, but we already know that we plan to stay for a while.

The Bristol has been a great apartment community. The three dog parks and proximity to the swamp rabbit trail have made it amazing for my puppy and me.

I love living at the Bristol. The staff is so courteous, willing and very able to correct any concerns or problems that arise. I love the convenience to any shopping areas, Doctors and Hospital. For me, this is the best area to live in Greenville. The staff is so friendly, accommodating and willing to listen to any concerns about even there very least thing. The Bristol is so close to work and downtown. This community is one of my best decisions to move here!
We have only been living at the Bristol for about a week and we are loving it so far! We love the layout of our apartment - though the buildings are older, you are not going to find a better apartment layout and square footage than at the Bristol. My boyfriend and I had an excellent experience working with Brittany and she made the move in process seamless. We also really enjoy how pet friendly (and people friendly) the apartment complex is. Overall, we are loving out time at the Bristol.

I just moved out of that place and spent 5 hours making sure the apartment was spotless (and it was). I left 7 REGULAR sized garbage bags outside for garbage removal, and received a call stating that you can only leave one bag, and that I will be charged $25 for each subsequent bag (it’s not like I left a couch on the curb or something). When I lived there I commonly put out more then one garbage bag, and all the neighbors had more then one outside as well. Never once did I hear about this extra removal fee, and to charge $150 for this is ridiculous.
I recently moved in and the staff was great, very professional and helped get everything set up smoothly. The apartments and grounds are very well maintained and they are located close to downtown, and the swamp rabbit trail which is a huge plus if you like riding your bike! I would totally recommend the Bristol to friends!
I'd strongly recommend that you don't move to the Bristol. For one, the Bristol has no cell phone service. Unless you want to walk outside every time you use your phone, I wouldn't live here. Of course, they don't tell you this before you move in. When you move out, they'll charge you a ton of money for "cleaning fees." I repainted all the walls, vacuumed, and wiped down all the counters. They still charged me over a hundred dollars for unspecified "cleaning fees." If I could go back, I would've never moved to the Bristol.
I love the Bristol and have been here for over 2 years now. It is a great location! Close to downtown and Cleveland Park and the Swamp Rabbit Trail. It has a very big younger community that has plenty of pool parties in the summertime. They love to throw events for the tenants. I have met several of my closest friends through being neighbors. It's a great spot. Not much storage, but it's so close to downtown I don't care that much.
The Bristol has friendly staff and well maintained apartments. The residents are mostly comprised of young people in their 20s, which is good if that's your demographic. The big (read: huge) drawback is that there is no cell phone service in any of the apartments. I've been in half a dozen and I've never been able to get service, which, means that if you want to make and take a phone call, you'll need to walk outside to the parking lot.
