Midway between Winston-Salem and Raleigh (roughly one hour’s drive to each), Burlington is an all-American community that looks fondly at its history while always working toward an even better future. In addition to the woodlands all around the city, several community parks and outdoor recreation areas provide ample opportunities for sports, hiking, swimming, boating, and more. Burlington City Park’s beautiful antique carousel is one of the city’s major landmarks, and forms the centerpiece of an annual music festival.
The community has done a lot of work to make the downtown area something special, with historic buildings, great locally-owned shopping and dining, and a 15-square-block area with free public Wi-Fi access. Downtown apartments have direct access to all of this and more within walking distance. The collaborative spirit runs deep in Burlington, and residents have no shortage of opportunities to take an active role in their community.

Property Ratings at Huffman Mill Townhomes
Maintenance requests go unheard, roaches are a continuous problem, both the regular cockroaches and the giant flying cockroaches. There are plumbing issues, electrical issues, mold, leaks, structural issues, really old windows, a pool that's never open, additional fees are ridiculous, the staff don't respect the residents. If the water needs to be shut off, they do so without advanced warning. If they do finally send Maintenance to fix something they don't even give a 24 hour notice, they just show up. It's not a good place to live. Pay about the same or a little more and get the housing and respect that you deserve.
Lived there for 5 years, the only reason I stayed was because of the location and the space this townhome had. Other than that, it is horrible. Starting with a swimming pool that is advertised and during my 5 years there it was open only two summers, no tennis or basketball courts, the pictures shown are probably from long time ago (but that area does not look as pretty as it is advertised). air conditioning and heating systems are very old and not efficient. Maintenance takes for ever to get things fixed not to mention management. Consider other options nearby, you might pay a bit more but you wont have to deal with as many issues I have seen and experienced there. My star goes for the location!
I’ve lived here for about a year now. Great sized apartments, zero issues with bugs what do ever.. Office staff is amazing along with maintenance! You can tell the new management cares! Not sure why everyone else had issues but I’ve had none since living here.
It was implied I was approved for an apartment here (when I could actually reach someone). 4 days later I was told I wasn’t. I had already started enrolling my children in school based on the conversation had with Jasmine. They just want your application fee and to string you along. Don’t bother.
