Not a horrible place to live but they need major adjustments. They charge exorbitant fees for everything adding up to hundreds of extra each month. They even charge you to pay them! The fees make it more expensive then some of the newer nicer properties only blocks away. I’ve been told that ‘walking’ in my own apartment is disruptive after 10pm. Constant broken amenities and always smells like dog pee. For these prices I see why several units are now vacant. Been here less than half of my lease term and considering breaking it. There is a reason it’s easy to get in!

Just moved in and the apt is great! I love the amenities and the unit is well maintained and roomy. I don’t have an AC vent in my room though so that’s a little odd but it is okay.

Great building, great management. Sometimes facilities are down like the hot tub and elevators, but they are generally fixed quickly. Biggest issue are with other tenants who aren’t super considerate of others.

Everything has been great so far, no complaints at all. The leasing office has been very helpful and the security is ever present. Had some issues with parking when I first moved in but that was quickly resolved.

My review remains consistent. The hallways are littered with the trash and smell awful - I’ve noted this to staff too many times and it remains the same. The complex has so many poorly managed dogs that bark incessantly. I’ve repeatedly told staff about this, nothing has changed. The fire alarms are always triggered by kitchen cooking or SMOKING even though it’s a non-smoking complex. The alarms go off even in the middle of the night. I can’t wait to get out of here in the and so mad at myself for resigning. Hidden fees are atrocious given they’re supposed to be going towards all the issues in the building. Last time I posted this the building’s response was to let building management know. I have, repeatedly, and that is a cop-out response given how many times I have engaged with staff. Staff are nice and I believe they try - the building management company is the problem and it’s clear they don’t care.

The residence here are filled with great hard working people and are very friendly and easy to get a king with while mingling in the common areas. The staff is friendly and engaged as well as helpful. The area is clean, the staff does an excellent job with trash pickup as well as maintenance. Very clean place to live.

The management has been great since moving here! Very clear instructions/information to better the community, trash valet information for example. Too bad the residents can’t seem to follow simple instructions for a clean and beautiful community. Staff is always super friendly, housekeeping does an amazing job at keeping our facility clean. Management communicates effectively. They try and keep the community active by setting up events. The location is convenient. There’s a bank near by, 2 grocery stores, a chipotle and a Starbucks all in walking distance.

Really like it here. The space of the apartments is nice and so is the package setup. The pool is nice to have as well. The gym needs less cardio equipment and more weights.

So far residents have been super friendly and welcoming. Our keys don’t work for the amenity spaces and that’s why we picked this building. Valet trash is interesting, the hallways smell because everyone’s trash is always out.

Location here is more than great. Near bart station and busses are around. There is a Kaser and a lot of restaurants. Safe community and well protected facilities. Rent here is one of the best living space in Oakland.

After 35 years in owned houses I am utterly shocked at the reverse joy of not owning. This place is incredibly well managed, period. And within my apartment surprisingly quiet.

AVOID!!!! The red flags are everywhere; just try calling the office anytime during normal business hours. In the last year I lived here, they literally never answered a phone. This was the worst building, the worst management, and the worst overall experience of any place I have ever lived. I highly recommend avoiding any Greystar building. Greystar makes terrible decisions that negatively impact residents. They charge too much and give terrible service. The move-in specials get people in the door, then they treat you as disposable. That leads to nearly everyone leaving after their initial lease. If you tour, ask your lease agent how long they've been at the building. No one is there for more than a few months. I honestly feel bad for the leasing agents. During the time we lived their, the entire leasing staff changed maybe 4X. It was hard to keep track of the new staff at every level. An example of Greystar management: one day out of the blue, the trash rooms were all locked. No residents were notified of this decision. We no longer had any access to get rid of trash anywhere on property. Predictably, trash immediately started piling up in the hallways. Images attached below. Stacks of trash in the hallway was acceptable in Greystar's idea of "resort-style living". At one point, all the building exterior door locks quit working. Greystar's solution, leave the building wide open for more than 3 months. No additional security was placed at the doors (they said they were but I never once saw someone). The hallways are incredibly annoying. The building is too large. To get to the nearest elevator, I had to go down about 200 yards of the hallway. There are surprisingly few security cameras or security measures taken for a building of this size. Armed robberies have occurred in the building. The expensive parking has no cameras. Smash and grabs happen. The bike room is littered with chopped locks; dozens of bikes have been stolen from the bike room but no camera is in there. The floors are not well sound isolated. I could easily tell you where my upstairs neighbor is located in their apartment at any given time based on footfall noise. The hot tub and pool were available maybe 30% of the time we lived there. Usually, it is down due to maintenance issues. When the hot tub works, it's not serviced enough, resulting in the hot tub turning green regularly. Knowing this is the case, it grossed me out and I do not use it.

It’s the residents in this building that keep it standing. Management doesn’t care about the residents. We are dollar signs to them. Amenities are broken almost every week yet they want to charge us $400 for parking. There is no communication between management and residents . This is ran by unprofessional amateurs. Super disappointed. If they want residents to renew they need to give competitive concessions.

Management is terrible at communicating or fulfilling anything at all.. Everything is a hassle and a fight and i'm tired. I regret moving here. Major issues in just 2 months of living here : no heating in the winter because thermostat wasn't installed properly, no hot water, clogged toilets. and this is a brand new unit in the penthouse floor smh

This place is truly just terrible. Seems like they are desperately understaffed. Management is completely unable to keep lines of communication open to all residents due to how many they are getting. The residents here also kind of treat the place like trash, it's awful. This is - by far - the worst possible building you could live in for the price you're paying. Half of the amenities are broken, so you don't even get the use of many of the things they use to grab your attention. God forbid you need to get something fixed and get in touch with management, because they won't respond until you physically go down to the front desk.

This has been the worst apartment living experience. For a such a large community, there is barely any staff to accommodate residents. If something breaks, prepare to wait weeks for it to get fixed and if it does get fixed, prepare for it to break again. The amenities do not work (fireplace, hot tub) and the building does not care to fix them. You'll find extra charges to your lease and it's impossible to communicate this with the leasing staff. The residents are the only relief in this disaster as everyone you meet here is friendly and fun. They too have expressed how dissatisfied they are living here. I will not be renewing my lease next year.

Great apartment layouts and big floor plans. These is a small gym, decent outdoor amenities, and clean-looking exterior, but the leasing office is non-responsive and very difficult to get in touch with.
