Although it is the state capital and located deep in the heart of Texas, Austin generally has more in common with places like Portland, Oregon rather than other large Lone Star State cities like Dallas or Houston. Consistently named one of the best places to live in America, Austin combines passions for food, live music, entrepreneurship, iconoclastic attitudes, and Texas traditions into a wholly unique cocktail that people just can’t get enough of.
The expansion of the tech industry and the wild popularity of music festivals like Austin City Limits and South by Southwest have boosted Austin’s profile as one of America’s most in-demand communities of the 21st century so far, attracting people from all walks of life and every corner of the world.
Regardless of their atypical culture, Texas pride runs deep in Austinites. Many of the city’s hip, young entrepreneurs are more than happy to deal in classic regional staples like Tex-Mex food, cowboy boots, and country music.

Property Ratings at The Brodie
The team over at the Brodie are amazing and friendly. This property is a bit older but they have kept up with it and done some great renovations. Very close to HEB and Sunset Valley. Also not too far from downtown. Has a lot of grass for dogs! Love the Brodie!

If you have any concerns or suggestions for improvement, please don't hesitate to reach out to us at (737) 205-6911.
Community has some nice features including a car wash station but it's not functional at the moment. The vacuum works great though and is a nice touch. The apartments themselves are unique and have fireplaces which you don't see much. The staff is small right now but being that it's a recent take over the team does their best to get back to you even if it's a little later than you'd like and are always polite and friendly. All in all a nice complex on the south side of Austin.

We’re soo disappointed in this complex and it’s management. We came in with high hopes, especially in that it sells itself as a “luxury apartment complex.” It seemed to have great amenities including a great pool, fitness center and dog park. But with such high rent you would think everything would be amazing but it was far from it. First of all they just raised the e rent on us several hundred dollars so with all the downsides of this apartment it is not worth it. The pool and hot tub are always dirty and never maintained. Seriosuly, we’ve been here almost a year and we’ve only been able to use the hot tub once! The rest of the year it’s always been “under maintenance” and they make up a different excuse every time as to why the hot tub isn’t working (oh we need a new part, oh we’re waiting for this or that.) I would have really liked to use it in the winter! And the pool on hot summer days would be great to use too, but it’s always dirty and the last straw was this weekend, a hot weekend in July, the pool is unusable bc they said they’re dealing with an “algae overgrowth.” Which means they don’t even maintain it. It’s ridiculous. And the BBQs, we’ve been wanting to BBQ this summer in the poolside BBQs but again they are not maintained or cleaned ever, they are unusable. Tired of paying so much money and you can’t even use the amenities! Not worth it. Many of us residents have complained so many times about the pool, hot tub and BBQ situation and they still don’t care or put any effort into maintaining them. Just know that if you’re wanting to live here primarily for the amenities or “luxury apartments” you will not get those things. The apartments are def not luxury either.
VERY upset. The best part about this complex was supposed to be the “luxury” amenities. But with the insanely high rent prices they charge you would think they would maintain the amenities but they don’t. This is the second week in scorching July that we want to enjoy the pool that we pay for and we can’t even do that bc it’s shut down again. The hot tub has been shut down the whole time we’ve lived here. The pool rb eh can’t even bother to maintain even with all the money we pay in rent. They can’t be bothered to maintain the BBQs either so we can never use them.for all these reasons we will not be renewing our lease here (plus they raised the rent again which makes it definitely not worth it when you can’t even enjoy the pool in the summer or the hot tub in the winter.) Dont rent here!

Hello, Deanna L.. We understand your disappointment. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, we are looking to quickly resolve this issue.
DO NOT MOVE HERE. It has become a consistent issue that there are literally NO PARKING SPOTS AVAILABLE. None in the complex and none in the front either. Management has done next to nothing to fix the issue aside from removing visitor parking which in turn creates a new issue in that if you have a guest over, they also have no where to park now. They charge thousands of dollars for “luxury” living but there is literally no where to park your car. I have had to park at neighborhoods far away because that is the only option. RIDICULOUS.
This place is horrible! The customer service is the worst. I am havjng to find a new place to live right around the holidays because of a mistake they made with my rent costs. They recognize the mistake but aren’t willing to rectify it. They have no care about their tenants, just the money they put in their pockets. Do not do business with the Roscoe properties.

The staff at the Brodie was very friendly. However, the management company that they work for is horrible. My partner and I stayed at the Brodie for a year and had hoped to remain, but the lack of negotiation from management to provide incentive for us to stay was lackluster. To make matters worse, upon move out, the Brodie sent us our bill (which happens with move outs), but gave us less than a week to pay and would not negotiate on billing methods. They sent us to collections despite having a clean record with them and instead caused a negative effect on our credit reports.

Moved out 11/19. Received Damage estimate on 11/21. Sent email on 11/22 to discuss charges the following week, radio silence, thanksgiving occured. Request ignored, sent to collections on 11/26, with no itemized breakdown of wall paint damages, or previous invoices to justify charge or damage. Happy holidays!

I couldn't way to get out of this place one my lease was up! There are definitely better options for an apartment in this area. When I first moved in here the grounds were kept up nicely, however, about 4 months into my lease I noticed that the grass area near my building was no longer being cut routinely & would grow disgustingly long. There was also the issue of big mounds of dog feces all around the property. I always had a fear of stepping in one of these huge mounds of feces, walking through the grass to get to my apartment. Parking is also terrible! If there's ever a night that you need to arrive home after 8pm, be prepared to be on a serious hunt for parking & if you're lucky enough to find a parking spot I can guarantee that it won't be anywhere close to your apartment. Visitor parking is also terrible. There's limited visitor parking spots (about 25) for over 18 buildings (I believe that's how many there are). My girlfriend was never able to find a visitor's spot & was too scared to park in the lot out of fear of being towed! Also, the leasing agents are great. Management can stand to use an upgrade. I've never encountered a management staff that was so rude and seemed to be so unprofessional. They're all about business and possess no people skills! Similarly, one of the maintenance men is also quite rude, complete opposite of my experience with the maintenance man with the glasses & the woman. They're actually quite friendly. If I knew then what I know now, I would have never lived here. If I can save anyone the hassle of paying monthly rent to live here when there are much better options out there, I will try! You've been forewarned!
Pros: I absolutely love that a W/D is included in the unit and it's already lumped into your rent. The kitchen size is probably my second favorite thing about Deerfield. It's truly the closest thing you'll get to a full sized kitchen in an apartment. Never had a problem with neighbors. Everyone is friendly and relatively quiet in the wee hours. Cons: Not the biggest fan of the head maintenance guy. He's been very rude on more than one face to face encounter. I've come home a few times to find that the deadbolt lock and metal plate on the doorjam no longer match up at the correct level. This does make me question whether complex employees are entering my apartment without my knowledge when I'm not home. I've had multiple problems with ants, but no other pest issues.

This complex isn't new but does offer good amenities. The office staff has recently changed which made customer service much better. I love the pool and the location is great.
