Property Ratings at The Brooklyn @9590
Doesn’t rent this apartment. Rude , arrogant, unprofessional staffs & poor management , the staffs are not helpful. You will find roaches , bugs and can’t even flushed the toilets for use ,when you call or walk-in is even a waste of time because they won’t respond. They toll cars , same staffs refuse given one sticker for your car because the car is not on your name but you are living there (must the car be on your name? before moving in )I have never experienced this kind of bad treatment in my life . We regret moving in my neighbors also complained same bad behavior from their rude staff . Don’t rent

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. While we appreciate the feedback, we regret to hear that you feel this way. We will be addressing the customer service matter with our team, however, we also want to clarify some community policies: Towing is enforced so that our resident’s vehicles have ample space to park and those residents have their vehicles in their names. It is correct that if the vehicle is not in a lease holder’s name that it can not be registered as a resident’s vehicle however, all other vehicles have the ability to register as visiting vehicles on the visitor parking website. Additionally, pest control is completed on a schedule, by request, and prior to move in. If there are pests that need to be remedied the request is fulfilled one day per week by the pest control contractor. Lastly, work orders are submitted and completed in the order they are received unless it is an emergency. The only other delay may be due to lack of parts availability through the suppliers. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to let us know. We're here to provide the best living experience possible.
I have lived here through 4 leases with many management changes, each one worse than the last. We pay for pest control and no one comes. We have black mold and management refuses to address it, even after verbal and written notice. Don't move here, the amenities are not worth the prices.

Hi, Andrew. We're very disappointed you feel this way. Due to the nature of your concerns, we feel it would be best if we spoke with you directly. Please give us a call when you can so we can learn more about your experience and address these matters.
I have lived in an apartment complex owned by this company for a few years. I am extremely disappointed and upset with the current office staff and the property management group. The most recent disappointment is the lack of communication for the on-site laundry centers. After the winter storm that impacted Texas (roughly 2/13/21 - 2/18/21) the on-site laundry centers were completely unusable due to water damage and other factors. There was ZERO communication to the residents about this service (most units are without W/D hookups) and when I asked a staff member in the office for an update, she just said she wasn't sure. We didn't have a single piece of communication until *after* my husband emailed the office staff on 3/11! Three weeks *after* the last of the weather cleared! The communication we received was a note on the laundry center door saying it was closed until further notice. I guess this is better than no communication but it's still not ideal for residents who rely on this service. In addition to this, we also emailed the property management group (AlphaOmega) on 2/27 and NEVER RECEIVED ANY COMMUNICATION BACK. Nothing. The employees are silent. No one seems to understand they are in hospitality and customer service while managing a residential property. In addition to this upsetting issue, we also have had to treat the massive roach problem on our own (we used to request pest control but finally stopped after never seeing someone come to our apartment). We are also missing the door to our mail slot at the mailbox area. It looked like someone tried to get into the mailboxes and several doors were pried open. Our door was almost all the way off one day and then the next day it was gone. We haven't had a mail covering on our mailbox for almost 2 weeks. Again, this was brought up and has not been addressed. No communication.

The apartments are old and tiny. Definitely not worth half of what they charge. Should be shut down with the amount of drug dealers and tweakers who roam the complex. They will try and gouge you for more money after you move out!!!! If you are considering here DO NOT MOVE IN. There are gunshots and mugging happening all the time.
This apartment complex used to be Snug Harbor. While it wasn't perfect, it was definitely a livable space. Citygate took over management about three months ago and it's been nothing but problems. We have two gates. Neither have worked at all (they're just left open all the time) since Citygate took over. The "dog park" is nothing but a dirt patch at this point. The sprinklers no longer function in it, so all the grass has died. The swimming pool has been open for roughly 2 weeks out of the last 3 months. This is summer time we're talking about. The appliances are extremely old. There used to be a security company that would patrol the complex on a regular basis, but Citygate either changed vendors and didn't tell any of the tenants, or they got rid of them entirely. Trash used to be regularly picked up, but it looks as though that's gone away as well. Diapers, fast food bags, and bottles/beer cans are sporadically thrown throughout the parking spaces. I had an emergency maintenance request yesterday. The landscapers evidently hit a rock while mowing when I was at work, and it hit my glass patio door, shattering it. I come home from work at night, and since I'm on the ground floor, I immediately call their "emergency" request line to get it fixed and followed up three more times that night. No one called. I called at 7pm. Not a single response. I had to go down to the office at 9:00am this morning only to find they were closed for a meeting, finally letting out at 9:15. Severely agitated, I spoke with the young lady at the office, explaining I needed it to be fixed so I could go to work. 10 minutes was the estimate I was given, when in reality, it was 40. To make it up to me, a poorly worded email was sent to me offering an apology and a 25 dollar gift card so I could "buy lunch." My door was broken by a contractor of the company, I had to deal with having a WIDE OPEN door for 15-18 hours, and had to put up with a false emergency request line. 25 dollar gift card? Nope. I've lived here for three years now. I strongly regret renewing my lease. I advise anyone considering moving into this particular area to shop around and do research. The management in these lower income areas are absolutely the worst I've seen unless they're a smaller company.

My experience at Snug Harbor Apartments has been nothing but the best. I've been living here for well over 5 years now. Eric the property manger is extremely professional. The office personnel staff Tasha in Jaunea are very professional and courteous. The property is kept clean at all times. The maintenance crew are quick and polite on repairs. The community here at Snug Harbor is quite I have not had any problems. Just renewed my least for another year I wish they had a 15 month lease.

Thank you for your amazing review and 5-star rating and for renewing your lease. If you need anything please do not hesitate to stop by the leasing office to meet the new management team that is now onsite since the property was recently purchased.
I’ve lived in the Snug Harbor for about 6 months, I love it, the office staff are friendly and more than helpful, maintenance is fast and efficient, I have lived in several apartment complexes in several states (even was manager of a couple) and I have to say this is one of the best, the first thing that struck me when we moved in was how clean the apartment was, the light fixtures are beautiful, the appliances in the kitchen were so clean they almost looked new, the exterior is also kept very clean with no trash anywhere, they just repaved the parking lot, not just any damage but the whole lot, and we have a doggy park which my little dog loves and I can let her off the leash, it’s very quiet and I feel really safe here, it is gated and as my husband works nights and also may be deployed in the near future that is very important to me. The rents are more than reasonable for what you get here, I honestly would recommend Snug Harbor to anyone.

Wow thank you for your amazing review we greatly appreciate the acknowledgment. Have a great day!
Snug Harbor is a large complex with a nautical theme; the red, yellow and blue exterior definitely sets it apart from the other surrounding apartment communities. There's plenty of free parking; the units are well maintained on the outside; and the leasing office looks like a boat dock. Security is excellent! If you happen to get home late and the leasing people forget to tell you that you have to have a gate pass, you will NOT get in - but then, anybody trying to rip you off after dark won't either. Also, the neighbors are friendly and helpful; they will offer to let you use their bathroom because they know it'll be days before maintenance shows up and has yours working again. Our building has resident patrol cats that keep watch over the property and chase the dumpster rats away. If you have to live on the cheap until the government starts sending your check again, this is the place to be.
