Since the new management took over, Everything went down to Hell. They don’t post All the payments on time and this is the second time since they took over two months ago that I had to go back and make another payment after paying my rent fully because they are not Good fit for their job and they don’t know how to do they job on time . The pool is closed for last 7 months and will be closed according to the sign for another year.
This place has NO RELIABLE HOT WATER..be ready to have cold showers for WEEKS!!.Dog poop everywhere on the compound.Maintenance requests ignored.

I don’t want a response to this Tides, sorry. This place is horrendous. Roaches like you won’t believe, yet i pay every month for pest control and no one has ever came into my apartment to spray for bugs, which is a health code violation I’m pretty sure. Other tenants blaring music from their car at 8AM on a Sunday. Horrible parking. Trash everywhere. And an office phone that they never answer. I could go on and on, but just dont move here.
If I could give them -5 stars I would, they are ran HORRIBLY if you ever need maintenance they won’t come no matter how many request you put in. if you want to talk to anyone in corporate office they are as useless as the office staff, to pay so much money for an apartment that is worth no more than MAYBE $450 I am so disappointed. Office staff will treat you like you’re stupid, and a waste of their time. DO NOT MOVE HERE. they think that painting a building changes the entire complex, there are drug addicts, break in’s, animal poop everywhere, trash, broken screens. this was the worst experience ever.
Place reeks of cigarettes and dog poo. It leaked into the apartment and nothing would make it better. I moved in July 2021 and I didn't have air conditioning until late September. The original owners were in the middle of selling the place, but that doesn't change the fact that I didn't even have a window unit. There is very little lighting inside the apartments and they look nothing like these pictures. the fridge smelled like death, roaches everywhere no matter how much you clean or spray. I spent most of my time here crying over how disgusting and worn out everything was.
This is far most the worst place to live please don’t waste your Money. They tell you one thing and something different happens. They honestly don’t know what’s going on. Do it would be 100% in your best interest to go somewhere else.
Parking is horrible, dumpsters are a mess and I've been given two notice of failure to pay rent when I have proof of payment days in advance. That isn't including the bugs that they are charging you for removal yet aren't getting removed!

Your satisfaction is what we strive for each and every day here at McCallum Crossing! As always you know you are welcome to give us a call or drop us an email and we hope to continue to meet your expectations. Thank you for your very kind review!
I love living at McCallum Crossing Apartments. They recently got new office staff and they are great! They make sure you are taken care of right away. The maintenance staff always takes good care of you and they make sure your apartment is in good conditions. The pool is always sparkly blue and clean even if it’s not open it’s still a good view. Lucretia and Sergio are great! Definitely would recommend

Hello, Thank you for your Great Review, and we just Love all our Great Residents! -Property Manager Lucretia
Dear all, I just want to draw your attention for the extremely high utility bills & old AC unit(not at all efficient). It's been almost 4-5 months and every month we have been paying (around $125-$145) bills. We weren't there almost 20 days in Jan and still the total utility bill was around 130. I had never had such issues with any other apartments in Richardson area till now. I stayed in Mccallum Meadows, Mccallum Courts and my utility bill was never in three digit. In addition to this some of the staff members are extremely rude while others just make fake promises. They have been promising us since past 4 months that the issue will be taken care by City of Dallas but I haven't heard anything. I wish if someone could really take action on them for their inability to address the customer's concerns. As well as they harass the tenant for a dollar shortage on the bill and threaten to charge them ridiculous fees and sometimes threaten to kick them out of the complex.
I am an international graduate student at UTD, and I want to warn all UTD students not to live here. McCallum Crossing (also the other apartments on McCallum Boulevard) is filthy and full of a kind of insect called "bed bugs" that feeds on human blood, that causes severe allergic reactions on the skin and that will spread in all your clothes and furniture (the only solution is to put everything you have in the trash). The management does not take care of these issues because they know that they can easily rent this place to, particularly, new-coming international students who are unaware of these problems. Once you sign the lease agreement, the management does not let you move out without financial penalties even if you are the injured party. If this happens to you, contact the university lawyer (free of charge) and let them help you breach your lease agreement without paying penalties. McCallum is not a safe place to stay, either. It is a hub for drug dealers, and dead bodies are thrown in the parking lot once in every couple of months. Overall, yes, McCallum is cheap, close to UTD and on the bus route. But there are many apartments around UTD that are on the bus route, that are much better managed and that, most importantly, are safe.
Most disgusting complex I've ever lived in! DO NOT LIVE HERE! REPEAT, DO NOT LIVE HERE!! Roaches/bugs coming out of the walls and cabinets, maintenance comes by 1x every few months for a quick spray and that's it. I had to buy a can of Raid every time I went to the grocery store (not kidding). Management (or lack thereof is a joke), rarely answer the phone, manager never in office to speak too. DO NOT LIVE HERE! REPEAT, DO NOT LIVE HERE. Cheap $$. but you get what you pay for (barely). Trash overflowing in dumpster in parking lot almost daily, no grass/trees areas, too many issues to list here. Just spend the extra few $/month for far less problems. Bugs everywhere! Would give 0/5 stars if I could.
worst people ever leasing agent crystal & monica are the very rude and unprofessional. Manager is never in the office. Never helpful, if you need help they get upset. Parking is bad, and rooms are full of roaches and insects.
first to start off with there are roaches everywhere. When I first rented this apartment I knocked on cabinets and what not to find them and never did but as soon as I moved in they are everywhere. the carpet in the apartments are very old and raggedy, some apartments have wood floors which look nice. the neighborhood is full of drug addicts, I've had two crackheads knock on my door asking for a different person. and if you try to have a puppy in this neighborhood, don't because it will die of parvo. the walls are so thin you can hear the people upstairs making love. The office staff is nice but never gets anything done, I asked for weeks to get a faucet fixed and it took 3 months. I would never ever pay this much for an apartment this sucks this bad. and after your lease is up they raise your rent so high they force you out. I cannot wait to get out of this place!
Inexpensive, close to shopping and public transportation.
