Property Ratings at The Bungalows at Sky Vista
Awful experience renting with the Bungalows from the start. We were in the middle of our cross country move to Reno, had everything set up, the day before move in was told we needed to switch apartments because the one we were supposed to rent wasn’t ready. Had to scramble while on the road to change address with USPS, change utility set up, change renters policy- everything they required to move in. New Apt given was filthy, we had no where else to go so we dealt with it. Put in several complaints that were never addressed, washer didn’t work properly, when running the dish washer the entire Apt smelled like sewer and the list goes on. Moved out well before lease was ending to be in a better place. Paid lease out and moved on. Got a invoice for rent for months past our lease end date, took weeks for them to correct and get our deposit back only to find out they turned us into collections when we have a zero balance and received a refund. It’s 3 months after our lease ended and we are still getting collections calls and not a single person at Bungalows or FPI will do anything to resolve their error so we are now left to hire an attorney. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THEIR PROPERTIES WORST MISTAKE WE EVER MADE!!! UPDATE: was told this was going to be taken care of weeks ago, guess what hit all three of our credit reports today, a collection for FPI for money we don't owe!!!! YOU ARE THE WORST!
STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPLEX!!!!!!! I was living here for less than 6 months with my daughter and broke my lease early due to their HORRIBLE management and office staff (Emily Ashby namely is horrendous with customer service). According to the lease paperwork they gave me at move-in - breaking the lease is just over $3600, which I was absolutely willing to pay after having a car TOWED out of my driveway in the middle of the night and a $400 fee to get it out just for starters. It was also implied at move in by Emily that I would not be able to afford my rent after move in...I own my own business and make plenty to cover rent by myself. She scoffed. Again, horrible people in this office. I did NOT damage my apartment whatsoever, but I am now being billed $10,575.57 for the entirety of the remainder of the lease. Considering that I was given official documents stating that the move-out fee is WAY less - I offered to pay any lease-breaking fees entirely upon giving the 30+ day notice to break lease as described in their paperwork, but I was told that "we don't do that, you'll just get a bill after you leave" this place deliberately didn't mention that the fees they would charge would be completely made-up regardless of what their lease says! I've left a message with the office - which is very hard to get ahold of if you have any issues by the way, (maintenance took over a week to fix my hot water after I had informed them it wasn't heating whatsoever and I had a small child to bathe - I had to drive to bathe her at my mothers house because they would not fix the water heater timely whatsoever) and there has been no response from the office after my message. Find literally ANYWHERE else to live - this management company is the absolute WORST, UNPROFESSIONAL, and will straight rob you when you figure out it's a completely shitty place to live and try to leave!!!! When I moved out on November 30th, all of my immediate neighbors stated that they had also put in their notice and cheered me on with congratulations as soon as they saw my uhaul being packed. None of the current residents are happy with management. I should have listened more closely to the overwhelming reviews of this place saying to stay away. PLEASE learn from my mistake in moving in to The Bungalows. You will NOT be happy here and they will make you feel unwelcome in numerous ways. There are MUCH better, and less expensive options out there.
I absolutely would not recommend living at the bungalows. My account was always miscounted and random charges showed up on my account multiple times. If I would not have been paying attention each and every month I would have been continuously overcharged with no explanation. The maintenance team was pretty good, but they were overloaded with work (weren't enough of them). It would be weeks to sometimes over a month before my workorders would be satisfied. During the summer I had no AC for over a week until I sent an email to the manager complaining, even though this is classified as an "emergency" in their policy. The leasing agents were extremely unhelpful and one of the ladies was very rude every time I went in there to ask about open items on my account that 10/10 times was a mistake not of my own. They changed management while I lived there and the situation never improved.... One of the members of the group told me that they would be responsible or returning my cable equipment that they ordered on my behalf (apartment mandated that we all have cable and internet through them), when I moved out, I left the equipment in the spectrum bag, clearly out in the open in the living room and somehow it never made it back to spectrum and I was sent a bill for the missing equipment. When I called the leasing office, they said that the amended agreement that they sent out said that residents were responsible for returning the equipment despite what I was told by the leasing agent in the office. This group is extremely unreliable and furthermore they do not care about their residents.
I've lived here for a couple months now and I've really enjoyed it. Super quiet and the units are nice and spacious, doesn't even feel like I'm living in an apartment. The stuff is friendly and straightforward which is much appreciated. Overall the best place I've lived in Reno.

The whole apartment was dirty when we moved in they didn’t even change the air conditioning filter they didn’t paint nothing didn’t write nothing down didn’t clean anything went to the pool today and it was absolutely filthy looks like has been cleaned in weeks
