Less than five miles from Downtown Saint Paul, Energy Park is conveniently located with tons of employers making up this mixed-use area. There’s definitely an industrial vibe to the neighborhood, as it’s surrounded by office parks and railroad tracks.
Because Energy Park was developed in the 1980s, it’s still relatively new to Saint Paul. Bandana Square is one of the office parks, complete with a steam locomotive and water tower to enhance its railroad-themed décor. A hotel and conference center, urgent care, and other small businesses encompass the square.

I’ve lived in this apartment for the past year, and overall, my experience has been positive. The location is convenient, with nearby amenities and good access to public transportation. The apartment itself is well-maintained, with modern appliances and efficient heating/cooling systems. Noise levels are manageable, although occasional disturbances can be heard from neighbors. The Burlington is a pretty nice apartment complex. It's pretty quiet and really centrally located with everything within easy access. The pros are lightning fast maintenance crew and a nice gym/pool with friendly front office staff (do note that this depends as the front office staff change faster than our weather forecast). The cons mostly being that you can end up with loud or smoking neighbors -> this being mostly a result of the kind of people that move into the place moreso than the apartment staff themselves who seem to respond decently quickly when an issue is reported. Overall, I like living here, and I've been here for over 2 years so clearly it's good enough for me.

For a large apt complex there are some great things about it like it’s mostly pretty quiet we have recently have some issues with a loud neighbor. We have had theft issues too. Maintenance is pretty quick when needed. The grounds are pretty clean the gym is a great place.

Overall I really like this complex, however the parking rules can be a major headache. They limit overnight passes and if they are out the nearest place to park legally is blocks away. Now if you have a garage spot you HAVE to park in it overnight- not give to a visitor. There are lots of empty garage spots but the cost is prohibitive for many residents. If they were to lower the cost of the garage spots many of the parking woes would be solved. I really like the current office staff. They remember our names and go above and beyond!

Very friendly staff and maintenance workers. The other tenants are friendly. Occasionally on weekends it is difficult to find parking so I would recommend investing in a garage parking spot to make sure you always have a place to park.

Great experience. Dailyn from the front desk was very accommodating and efficient. She made time from her busywork to tour us from the facilities even we didn’t have any appointment and made everything smooth with our moving in. It’s clean and most neighbors are nice and considerate. However, there are a few neighbors that are unpleasant. Sometimes there’s graffiti in community areas but it’s quickly cleaned.

Noise from outside (even with windows closed) can be disruptive and annoying even though I am located on the 3rd floor. However, I love all the activities, events, and accommodations/benefits to living in the Burlington.

The apartment is very nice, and the maintenance address the issue very well. The apartment also has its own park to have people walk around and feel the breeze.

It's a quiet place. But I have issues with the leasing office, as they've deemed no one at the entire complex can decorate their doors as a punishment for the few who decode to leave garbage in the common areas/outside their doors. This has NOTHING to do with the other, and only makes the residents dislike the office more. In addition, the maintenance crew decides to let appliances stack up in one section of the garage, which happens to be across from where I park (and happens to be next to a wall), causing issues for garage spot access. The appliances and other items weren't cleared out for weeks, and once they were, more appliances have been put there.

I have lived at The Burlington for almost three years. I love my 2 bed 2 bath floor plan. Perks: screened in porch, in unit laundry, ample storage, quiet, great neighbors, next to Como Park, and a beautiful courtyard with pool. I love it here.

Lived here for two years now. Decent location and nice walking paths. However we have had so many maintenance issues over those two years. Given it used to be fast to get things fixed, it now takes awhile.

This is a safe complex and it’s kept clean! I definitely recommend investing in garage parking as sometimes the parking lot is full, especially on weekends.

For the most part, I love it here. I am often awaken earlier than I should be due to heavy footsteps from the apartment above me. Some neighbors could be more compliant with the rules of no smoking and not leaving trash in the common area or trash room. Maintenance does a great job keeping this place tidy and management is always polite, accommodating and on deck.

So far everything has been good. There were a few things that were kinda bad from move in, for example we found out a few of our windows have broken seals so they are foggy, and our walls were not sanded before painting so there are bumps and spots on them. Other than that everything has been good!

I’ve been here for almost a year and have no complaints! Maintence is super fast and efficient, the ambiance is nice and the front office staff are welcoming. I renewed my lease with the same rate as when I applied which is another plus!

Upon move in the apartment was visibly dirty and we found multiple cigarette butts on the balcony. This was advertised as a smoke free community. Many doors and kitchen cabinets in our unit were damaged (in addition to being visibly dirty) when we moved in. It has been difficult to input maintenance requests. I would advise future renters to ensure that they tour the exact unit that they want to rent.

Move in was very easy and the amenities are great. The office staff was very helpful in getting everything set up. They knew me and my dogs by name before moving in and really made it feel like they care about the residents.

Poor communication regarding construction and maintenance. Contractors left a large mess in our apartment following minimal communication from leasing office regarding the timeline or access needs of the construction.

This is the worst apartment I’ve ever lived in. Nothing gets fixed, the management lies and doesn’t take accountability for their failures and the fire alarm goes off 1-3 times a week! Don’t move here. There’s a reason so many apts are available!! You will regret it. I sure do!!!

I have been in my 2 bed 2 bath unit for 2 1/2 years. I love living at The Burlington. My apartment is spacious, large bedrooms, in unit laundry, and has huge closets. I enjoy the amenities: pool, gym, club room, and outdoor courtyard.

This apartment complex offers affordable living in a decent neighborhood. I definitely wish there were less dogs as they are really loud and there are so many of them barking in unison daily.

Overall it is a nice place to live which has various amenities. And the neighborhood is also nice with a nice view. In the beginning while we moved in we had some issues of the apartment not being in a good condition which was the part we did not like the most. However, after couple weeks everything was fixed and since then we have no issue staying here and we like the place.
Been living here awhile now ver convenient location. Apartment frequently has water leaks and appliances are old. Other than that I like the layout.
Not luxury like advertised. Not the worst, but many issues that would not catorgize it as luxury like the website says. Management won't follow up on any complaints. No messages to even acknowledge what the complaint was or to say they are working on it. I've had several complaints go to deaf ears. Management seems to have high turn over rate so this is probably why, but it also likely means they don't treat their staff well enough to stick around. The shared washing machines on my floor in my building are always broken, even the floor was broken- like a hole in the ground. I'm pretty sure if I didn't make a maintenance request, it would not have been fixed. Sauna is also always broken because it's electric and residents put water on it. The utility bills are extremely high as I think we pay for the hallways and common areas as residents. Even if not, the bills are high even if not used.Lastly, this is supposed to be a smoke free community, but at night it always smells like weed.
Always great. Best people working there and great area and location. Near Como park, tons of shops and grocers, there is an even divide of city and nature.

Other residents are generally quiet, clean, and happy. Love seeing people walking their pets and beautiful plants in the window sills. Maintanence is extrememly quick and effective, staff are friendly and helpful. I like the existing community building oppurtunities and support having more.

Have lived here for two months and everything has been great. Really enjoy how walkable the property is and the dog park is fantastic. Great place for my dog to have fun and for me to talk with my neighbors. Everybody is very friendly here.

I love the area - pretty quiet, and close to parks, shopping, and work. However, I don't know my neighbors anymore - we used to have such great community events and now we hardly have any. When - or if - we do have them, they aren't advertised very well.

Management is newer and there have been some hiccups such as misscheduling tours and issues getting a laundry card, but the apartment itself is great

Things have improved since my last review. Upstairs neighbors have been better and more neighborly. Noise isn’t as bad. There have been some neighbors who weren’t picking up their dog’s poop but that was addressed in an email and rules seem to be better enforced and I happy that there seems to be a diligence in making sure the building is safe and clean. When there’s problems, they’re addressed quickly. When the elevator is down or a lock is broken on the door, they’re taken care of immediately. This is quite an impressive change since when I moved in almost two years ago and much needed one.

The open spaces and paths are nice for our toddler. My main complaint is the guest parking situation- this has been my complaint consistently. They issue 10 guest passes per night. Towing can start as early as 9 PM depending on when the truck gets here. If you wanted to have a friend not even spend the night and just stay to watch a football game, they would need a pass. If they are all gone, you are just screwed. The complex will tell you to “plan ahead” and “use street parking” which would be great except there ISN'T street parking for BLOCKS. Or they tell you to rent a garage spot. Honestly if I had known how much having a friend visit past 9 pm was a hassle it would have greatly factored into my decision living here. I know parking is limited but having the tow trucks come at 10 or 11 pm instead wouldn’t be that hard.

Burlington Apartments is a nice, centrally located apartment complex.
Burlington has been a great rental residence. People are friendly, staff is helpful, and maintenance is great. The pool is a wonderful summer attraction! And the scattered dog supply posts make walking my dog very easy. Overall, a great place to stay.
