Property Ratings at The Callie
Roaches. Spiders. Upkeep is poor. No elevators or gates that work. Hallways are disgusting. Management is subpar. Overpriced. Would never recommend.

Dirty, staff and management very unhelpful and blatantly ignore you, security gate is always broken, parking is a nightmare, not well maintained. Do not recommend living here.

Broken dryer, collapsed kitchen sink, No AC for weeks. Today is the 8th day my AC had been broken. The first 6 days I was told it was fine. Day 7 the entire unit needs to be replaced and so many other units are broken that they've loaned out all the portable AC Units. But they have a replacement ready and they'll install it the next morning. Day 8 rolls up and now they're waiting for parts. What happened to the unit they had ready? Who knows. Why did my AC break again when it was out for over a week earlier in the year? Who knows. All I am given is shrugs and apologies. That's just the most recent of the maintenance problems I've had here.

Not worth the rent. The gates are always broken, literally always open I haven’t used my fob in almost a year. Elevators break a lot. Management doesn’t do anything about it even though multiple residents complain and in their reviews. Management is always changing. Communication between residents and management is horrible. Personally, I don’t think you get what you pay for.
Recently i was asked to renew my lease. These guys are going up $300 on rent and literally everything is still broken around here. Gates are wide open the door gates accessible
I have been living here for almost 3 years now. I used to love and enjoy everything about this place from the staff to the amenities all the way to the inside of my home. When i renewed my lease it seem as if everything has changed from the staff to the amenities. Nothing ever works the gate the gate doors the elevators it’s like what am i paying all this money for. When i try to speak with the manager Lacey about concerns sometimes she doesn’t even respond and other times she states something is going to be fixed and i must say it’s going on 10 months and the gate doors still are accessible to anyone. Just today i seen a crackhead walking on the 2nd floor really creepy. I even spoke to her about someone coming inside to fitness center and literally watching me workout anyone can just come in because the doors are still not fixed. Now a days i am rarely home i just don’t feel safe here anymore. The pool is always dirty anyone can just come in from outside like it’s no privacy anymore and management just seems as if she doesn’t care because she doesn’t live here. Their is very much lack of communication nor concern for tenants and when i ask for a cooperate number the number i was given no one answered no one returned messages i have left. I hate moving but doesn’t everyone but i am really over this place. There is always new people working inside the office but yet it’s still the same manager and yet the same problems if not more. I’m not even able to get in contact with anyone above her. This place is really going down. I see there is new outside furniture but yet our gates and door gates still does not work again what am i paying all this money for? When i come home late after working i literally have to look over my shoulder and i walk really fast with my 2 year old it’s scary because usually when you walk inside the door locks behind you but since the door does not work any one can just walk in without having a fob or anything. That’s very scary and dangerous
Good - The apartments are very spacious and quiet. I hardly ever here my neighbors. The appliances and fixtures are good, not great. The new maintenance team and office team is good. I've been here for a year and the turnover rate of staff has been high, but they seem to have gotten that under control. The gym is nice, and the pool area is nice as well. Good storage units available with different sizes. I was able to stop renting a self-storage place and now rent one here on property for a fraction of the price. Bad - Security is highly lacking. The front gates are broken just about every other week, so any and everybody can come in. There's no real place for the dumpsters, so they sit in areas blocking the parking lot. The rear elevator in the complex breaks about once per month and takes usually a week to finish. The front elevator is usually in operation, but that has begun to have issues as well. There are a lot of blind spots in the complex, where there are no cameras. So safety is a big problem. Lastly, the keypad for the front doesn't work for everyone, die to an old system still being used. The fob entry to the gym is broken, so anyone can come in and that's usually what happens. Residence will bring massive amounts of people to the pool area, trash it and leave. Eat and drink in the pool, leaving the water murky as well. Pool rarely looks clean. The Ugly - TRASHY! The complex is ridden with trash. Tenants don't throw their trash bags down the shoot, so the trash rooms are usually disgusting and you have to wade through trash to do the adult thing and use the trash shoot. Often people will just leave trash in the hallway by the trash room as well. There was an instance where someone left a couch by the trash room and it stayed there for 2 months, even though the office knew. I was told they were trying to figure out how to remove it(former staff). HOMELESS HIDEAWAY! Because the gates are usually broken, homeless wonder in all the time. I was leaving for work and as I walked out a homeless man was in front of my door and asked me for money. They've been also found sleeping in the elevators and storage units. Also, because the homeless are so close to the property, the area around the property is filled with trash as well. So, it's not somewhere you are proud to invite people. That's a long but honest and thorough review of this place. It has the potential to be really nice, but Tricon has serious work to do.
Pros: The staff is very nice and professional Cons: The building is next to a homeless camp, there is usually trash all over the property, bugs are a problem, parking isn't great, and appliances break often.
The worst bug situation ever! Roaches everywhere all over my apartment and no one seemed to be too concerned about it.
I wouldn't recommend The Callie to anyone. Poor management, Poor security and Poor maintenance.
mi experencia aqui en The Callie es muy buena tengo dos anos y estos muy contenta.

Not the traditional look, but everything you want in your home. The neighbors are friendly and helpful. The only noise is from 75. Everytime I've been in the office I was greeted and I felt welcomed.

The Callie has been a wonderful home, great location and the apartments are beautiful and updated. The team here put their resident needs first and continually reach out to ensure we are all heard and taken care of during this unprecedented season with COVID-19.

Hi there, we are very happy to have provided you with such a positive experience!
Living at The Callie this past 3 years has provided a new fresh life of convenience of location for fitness, a clean, refreshing pool, a club room to gather with tenants to talk about those things we have in common, outdoor multiple grills, party spaces with big screen TVs, the close proximity of restaurants, and Medical City of Dallas and thorofares to drive to many locations in Dallas area in minutes.

The Callie has not been the best experience so far. Not even a month here and the ac unit went out and has been out two weeks. First moved in had to basically drench the place in roach spray before bringing in furniture, they were coming from everywhere. The refrigerator door barely closes all the way. Leasing team just keeps telling us they are working on it or they will look into our issues, still nothing has been done. Also moved here during the process of the callie getting new management, so the extra amenities that were promised before are no longer here. Bright side, the community is mostly quiet.

Nice beautiful complex close to our jobs and doctors
This is a newer complex with awesome units and amenities. The townhome style units come with a two-car personal garage connected to your unit for an unbeatable price in Dallas. The surrounding area is not good, but there is easy access to 75 and 635. Management has improved immensely from when I moved here in 2019.
Tengo seis meses viviendo en este complejo y estoy feliz contenta todo es bonito y el ambiente agradable lo recomiendo.
I love the amenities, especially Fetch, Shipt and the valet trash. The maintenance team is great. Freddie, the head maintenance guy is so friendly and always says hi to me by name! Its a great community vibe.
The Callie is a beautiful complex and its apartments are modern and in excellent condition. It has improved immensely from when I moved in over one year ago, but it still has a ways to go in terms of public space cleanliness. The amenities are great but often unclean - for such a large complex now operating at a high occupancy, you would think they'd be able to hire more staff to solve the problem.
I moved to the Callie in September of 2018. During my time living here, I have seen a lot of different management companies take over the complex and use different approaches. Some have been good, some have been not so great but that's all a part of living in an apartment. I would recommend this place to a friend, but there are some things I would advise them to consider. Management tries to do their best to keep the place clean, but a lot of the people who live here have little respect for what the general areas look like. The trash room is always full with a clogged chute when the main office isn't open, primarily during their off hours over the weekend. They're at the point where residents may only be able to use the valet trash they charge, which I had issues with previously since I work long hours and rarely get home at a reasonable time to bring my can in. The pet owners have often left dog poop in the pet areas. However, they've been enforcing cameras and large fines to combat this. The walls are pretty thin and I can usually hear my next door neighbor if they were on the phone with someone. Parking has become an issue recently despite management enforcing rules to help residents get a spot. I honestly believe it's just because the people who live here often have more than one car. If you have guests trying to visit, they are going to have a very hard time getting a spot. There are a lot of positive aspects of living here too though. This new company has been working to offer events for residents and their staff has always been friendly and respectful to your needs. The fitness center and pool are really nice and often well maintained. Their staff does a great job in transitioning residents, as they make sure to repaint and clean before new residents move in. The complex is only a few years old so pretty much every unit offers great features. The rent prices have pretty much stayed the same too. Everyone's experience is different, but I wouldn't bash this complex. I think they are trying to offer a great place to live, but management can only control so many variables.

Do not recommend the Callie period. Unless you are ok with living with cockroaches. Neighbors that party and smoke pot throughout the day. Full on partys at the pol and grills that never work.
Relocating to the area and got denied at the Callie due to a petty Class B misdemeanor. The misdemeanor is not related to drugs nor violence. Attempted to talk to the manager to explain the situation and was not able to and Melly stated he was not going to. I’m a registered nurse and go thru extensive background checks to withhold a job and my nursing license. Yes, I can go to another apartment complex and I am but clearly they don’t care about the residents or the future residents. Very poor customer service.
STAY AWAY!!! I moved out 11/26/19. As of today, 3/10/20, I still have not received my move out refund. I have been told by the leasing staff and assistant manager that the refund check has been processed and re-processed several times. I have given them my new forwarding address every single time I have actually made contact with the office and yet they continue to say no forwarding address has been given. I was told there was a stopped payment placed on 4 different checks and were sent back out to me. Not one of these checks ever made it to me and they saw the checks were never cashed. I have even asked them to hold the refund check there in the office and I will come pick it up but that hasn't happened either. I have watched them write down the forwarding address as well but still nothing. Over the weekend, I went into the office and spoke with the leasing professional again and I was shown the last check was cut in December. I have made numerous attempts calling (at least 8-10 times) to the front office asking where my refund check is. I am constantly getting the run around. The manager will never take my calls nor has he ever called me back. There is always some excuse about being in a meeting or on a conference call. The office seems to not ever want to pick up their phones. This has been ongoing for over 3 months! This is very unprofessional and absolutely ridiculous. I just want my refund that is owed to me. I have contacted Corporate office on this issue, but no one in the company seems to care about my situation. If you want your refund check when you move out? FORGET ABOUT IT!! YOU ARE NOT GETTING IT BACK!!! This is one of the worst places I have lived in Texas. They call themselves "Luxury" but the place is horrible! Gates are always broken and there is a lot of high crime in the area. Place is trashed out most of the time, hit cars while parking, and towed my friends car with no warning of ownership changed to make sure we know to park in the right spots. They don't communicate with you on any changes, nor do they let you know they have changed management over 5 times in the last year and no one knew what the hell was going on. Office never picks up the phone or addresses your issues! I could go on and on about how horrific this place is!
My husband and I were residents here for 9 months and in the middle of that 9 month period, there was a management change. The management change resulted in a total new staff. There were no issues with the first management team but our issues came up with the new management. The time of the management change was when our 60 day notice was due and we were contemplating renewing our lease by moving to a bigger unit. We had even signed all the paperwork. But that was when they decided to nickel and dime us for everything. We were told that we had to apply all over again as if we were new renters and we had to pay the application fee. You would think that they would do whatever was needed to keep renters at their complex but money was their priority. My husband had to go to the leasing office several times to get our refund when we decided to put in our notice instead. Emailing the manager of the complex was a nightmare because he never remembered anything and he had horrible customer service in person. A few weeks before we were due to move out, we get a notice saying that we would have to move out if we didn’t pay our rent. Apparently they are getting more strict on payments being made by the 2nd of month. We got the move out notice on 3rd of the month and we had our automatic payment scheduled for 3rd. My husband was out of town for work and my pregnant self got that notice. Imagine the panic. We made sure that the payment though but they refused to refund us the late payment. We were able to finally get it refunded because the fault was theirs because they decided that to not enforce the late auto payments that were going on until the last month instead of doing it the first month.

DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!! This apartment may appear nice, but the whole place is a mess. There are parties constantly and the walls are so thin that you can hear everything, the management does nothing to fix this. You HAVE to pay $25 a month for a useless trash company. There have been multiple break ins, a woman was followed into her apartment and assaulted by a man and all the management did was send out a notice saying to lock your doors, they didn’t even explain what happened, I had to call 911 and see her covered in blood that’s the only way I knew what happened. There are homeless people surrounding the area at all times. It’s not a nice place to live, go somewhere else trust me. The management leaves packages outside your front door, mine have been stolen before and they refuse to take responsibility for anything. The people that work here are useless and extremely rude and unhelpful. You also barely have any parking available. They leave the gates open and with the homeless population surrounding the area it feels extremely unsafe. I usually never write reviews like this but this place is horrible.

I love this place! The apartments are modern and beautiful. They have a pool and gym, the staff are super sweet, and it’s right off of 75. I highly recommend!
