Property Ratings at The Calo
These apartments are clean, well taken care of, and the other residents are very friendly for the most part. The leasing office is super nice, but they don’t do well with communication via replying to emails and phone calls. They usually never get back to you.

Couldn’t ask for a better management and maintenance team! I feel the studio unit that I’m in is over priced and a bit outdated.

Excellent place to live. High school next door, as well as a metro and bus station. You can walk to the shops. The community has ample parking, swimming pool, gym. Very clean and organized environment. maintenance is always up to date. The administrative team is very helpful and always ready to resolve any queries. It really was a very good find after researching and visiting other places to live.

If I could leave a zero star it would be a zero star rating… the only good thing about this place is the location. Lived there for a year and don’t recommend to anyone. The pool and hot tub were never open, the elevators were always broken, the hallways were always a mess (only had a cleaning crew come in once every two weeks, maybe less). Way too expensive for what you get out of it. Moved out and they took the whole deposit despite the place being in better shape than when I moved in.

Hi there, thank you for taking the time to let us know about your recent experience. We are disappointed to hear that you are not satisfied with your visit. Unfortunately, there are maintenance issues that arise on occasion that require a vendor to come out, which was the case with our pool heater and elevator work. We also do have some final move-out charges that apply to every tenant. I would love to discuss any questions you may have regarding those charges. Please give me a call at your earliest convenience at 801-747-7625. Once again, I apologize for the inconvenience and hope that you would give us a chance in the future.
Property Manager at The Calo, Responded To This Review
We appreciate all reviews and appreciate you giving us the chance to improve by providing us with this feedback. We have resolved the issues with the pool pump, elevators are all maintained through a national, accredited vendor and we have a cleaning crew working through the property 3 times a week. I realize this may not have been the case while you were a resident. I apologize for the inconvenience you experienced. We will remain vigilant with these issues and thank you again for your feedback.
I have called the office 15 times and just recieved my first answer yesterday. The office used to answer emails but since management systems changed, there is little to no follow up unless you are able to go into the office- late or no email responses

Lack of maintenance, takes a month Or more and so many phone calls to after a service request for the maintenance to come and fix it. Pool is disgusting and the hot tub is cold. Trash all over the hallways and it smells bad and while the residents pay for a trash pick up no one shows up to do it . Gym is gross and full of dust and the bathrooms are not clean. And always different issues with the payment.

Hi, we are so happy to read such a great review about Green Leaf East Village! We look forward to your next visit! Take care! -Green Leaf Apartments
The apartments are the perfect size as they are. spacious and the distribution is balanced. I like them because they have a modern design. The kitchen is my favorite part because it is spacious so you can invite friends and there is no discomfort when several are cooking. the stove is gas which is a plus for me because many apartments only have electric stoves. the secretaries are the friendliest people as well as the maintenance staff. They are always ready to help and solve any problem. they always help me with a smile and a good mood! the neighbors do not make noise which I appreciate and the covered parking keeps the cars and we use it mostly for winter because we do not have to remove the snow from them. In short, the apartments have measured up to our needs!

We're also thrilled that you're taking advantage of the amenities that are available to our valued residents. If there's anything we can do to further enhance your living experience, please don't hesitate to let us know!
I applied to rent, costing nearly $145. The apartment managers failed to respond to my questions and eventually, the time ran out and I had to seek an apartment elsewhere. Although the problem was with their office personnel, they failed to refund my application fees.

Hello. Due to the nature of your concerns, we feel it would be best if we spoke with you directly. Please give us a call when you can so we can address this matter properly. Thank you!
I have lived at the east village since October of 2018, I just have to say it’s pretty great. So many different amenities and floor plans. The office staff are so friendly and always willing to help you out with different things. My only issue with the east village is their controlled access in building 1. All the other buildings have door panels that guests can use to gain access to the building, my building does not have this. So we must go all the way downstairs to let someone in which is pretty inconvenient. We also do not have a key scanner on the staircase from the parking garage like all the other buildings, so we are restricted to only using one door for access. My only other complaint is the valet trash. I myself do not use the service because it’s much more convenient to walk my garbage to the trash chute, I wish management would allow the residents to choose wether they want this service or not. Have had an overall great experience living here. My lease ends in two months and I do not see myself staying with the east village, but it has been a great place to live.

i moved here from Michigan and when I toured this place I immediately fell in love with it. I have lived here for 6 months and have loved every bit of my time here. I’ve had a few maintenance requests and the guys have always come the same day as my requests. When I first moved in I constantly was emailing the leasing office with questions and they ALWAYS got back to me and continue to do so, I find them to be amazing and very helpful. The pool area is amazing and there are numerous areas for my pets to play which is one of the main reasons I love this place so much. Everyone I’ve met is extremely friendly and on top of that I have always felt safe here. Sharing parking with the traxx has not affected me once... I always have found a spot outside my building and if I can’t I find one in our parking lot in between all 4 buildings. I love green leaf and already know I will definitely be renewing my lease here!

Lived here for 2 years. Management is usually nice, but incompetent and inefficient at best. Security is a joke. When we moved out we had about a week overlap with our new place, so we left a few things in our apartment and planned to come and finish cleaning up later. We came back a few days later and saw evidence that someone had been squatting in our apartment. There was a cup with ice still in the sink, and we someone had dug through the trash, used our shower, and stolen our mail key. We told front office as we were sure the person had just barely left. While we were there, we also saw someone standing outside, basically watching our apartment, we went to talk to them and they ran away. We told the front office and they said they would look into it. We were willing to look over the security footage with them and point out the person we had seen, but they declined and later said that they “didn’t see anything suspicious”. My concern is that there are people getting into the building and trying to get into apartments and management doesn’t really seem to care or want to do anything about it. If you make a comment/complaint they will write it on a post it note and you may or may not ever hear back about it. Can’t submit fix it requests online, their website has been broken since it was implemented with new management. This means if you want to submit a maintenance request you have to go down to the office when they are open and they will write it on a post-it note. Usually maintenance came quickly, but there was no way to follow up online. Online payments are inconvenient. If you want to pay online you have to pay the day of after 8am, because they don’t post charges before and don’t allow you to pay in advance. General amenities are fine and on par with nearby places. Gym is open 24/7 and sometimes there are machines available. Valet trash-- not that much more convenient, because they also have trash chutes at the end of the hall. The problem with valet trash is that with the enclosed hallways it means that you are stuck with the smell most of the time. There isn’t great ventilation in the hallways, so you just have to plug your nose when you go through the hallways. Close to UTA, very convenient if you use those services. Pricing is about on par with places nearby

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review and your feedback. While we are happy to see that your overall experience was positive, we are saddened to see that it did not reach its full potential. We greatly appreciate all of the feedback you have provided us with and want to be clear we would never allow a nonresident into a resident's home. We want to be sure that our residents are provided with the best possible experience, and will look into how we can improve in these areas of concern. I would give them zero stars if I could. They over charge for EVERYTHING and twist the lease agreement in their favor every chance they get. We were stuck paying 2 months extra even after our lease was up. I would have never even taken a tour here had I known just how diceitful the Green Leaf East Village was. Save your time and money and GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Our staff strives to make all of our residents aware of all community policies, especially to those in regards to billing and fees. Please reach out to our office with what we can do better to turn your view of our community around! - The Team at Green Leaf East Village
Like previous reviews, they up-charge you on EVERYTHING. Expect at least $300 tacked on to your original rent that they sell you on. New management is terrible. 7 months after I moved out I found out they sent me to collections over $200. I never got a letter, email, phone call, NOTHING saying I owed any money. I will never recommend anyone live here.

Do not rent from Greenleaf. Management changed in August. Management went from good to very bad. You share parking with the uta trax. I had my tools stolen from my truck. Asked what the management was doing about the theft since they started pimping out the parking. they are doing nothing about it. You pay extra for garbage, cable, interior heating cooling. I just asks if my rent would increase if I was to renew my lease. Melissa said no your rent will stay the same. Go into pay rent and they didn't honor my previous lease agreement. rent increase 87.00.DO NOT TRUST THIS GREENLEAF MANAGEMENT.

While we welcome all feedback, we are incredibly disheartened by this characterization of our team. If you would like to discuss your concerns with us directly, please stop by the office or give us a call at (801) 747-7625 when you have the time. Thank you.
Be sure you double check the fees for this apartment. They will upcharge you on EVERY item possible. There are additional charges including: 1. $25 monthly fee for "valet garbage" removal 2. cable and wifi in addition to rent ($120 a month) plus you will need to purchase a router. 3. common area gas/electric , trash, water and sewer ($100) This adds up to an estimated additional $300 to the listed rent payment. Upon move-out they charge you a $75 cleaning fee even if the apartment is spotless, don't even bother cleaning before you move out! Be very careful when signing a lease with this company, read all the fine print and ask a lot of questions. They WILL NOT work with you to be fair about fees.

Hello, we pride ourselves on providing exceptional service, so we are disappointed to hear that your visit with us was anything less than satisfactory. Please contact us at theeastvillage@allreso.com so we can work with you to make this right.
Although we only lived at the East Village for a few months due to a short contract, I thoroughly enjoyed the time we spent there. A lot of attention was paid to the small details of the interior, and it was wonderfully modern and polished. Whenever a maintenance issue arose, it was promptly addressed, and the service people were all very friendly. Both moving in and out were smooth processes. If we are ever in the area again, I would consider living at The East Village definitely.
