Property Ratings at The Canterbury
This is the worst property I have rented at. They have given me a room with a broken closet without informing me about it. I had just come to the US and they have not stated I would be getting a room like this. They have also not returned my security deposit even when I rented and paid through my whole lease and not incurred any damages

Harbor Management does not care about its tenants. Liability lies with the tenant on every issue. First is the 72 page lease. Every page you sign will indemnify them from any liability. Next is moving in. Let’s hope the elevators are working. New elevators were put in a few years back. Since then the company who serviced the elevators is no longer doing the work. So expect long delays of elevators not working. Heating and air conditioning is another issue. The apartments have convection units. Which means you only control the amount of air blowing (no temperature control)into the apartment. These units are so gross, the filters they use are a joke. I suggest getting an air purifier. If any maintenance issues occur don’t expect much. On top of all this good luck trying to reach anyone higher than the on site property/leasing manager. Harbor Management is as shady of a group I’ve ever dealt with. The 5 star reviews are fake and generated from their own people.

I’ve lived here for two years and harbor group management is a terrible company. They do not answer phone calls or emails, and they shut the power off routinely with no notice for “maintenance,” but they do not tell you what they are working on. You do not get to control the air so the upper floors are always extremely hot, and things are constantly breaking. The only positive aspect of this building is a great location and spacious apartments.

The recent power outages in the building and surrounding area were a result of outages initiated by AEP Ohio after severe storms compromised the electric grid. I enjoyed living here for more than 2years. Affordable and spacious for sure. Great location and amazing view from my balcony. I was skeptical when I first saw this apartment but Tess was so friendly and helpful when i moved in. Never had problems with Maintanence, they are always on point and Gary &other guy are really kind and greets you with smile everytime. The only reason I moved out is cause of my work. Raquel is always responsive!

I used to be a resident here. The location is great for the price. There is a newly renovated gym and the amenities are great. Staff is friendly, especially the doorman. The balcony has amazing sunset views from the higher floors. You cannot hear neighbors through the walls which is a big plus. The kitchen cabinets and counters could use a little updating but for the price in this area and all of the amenities it is what you should expect.

I've called The Canterbury home since Early 2018. Having Management on site is great and they are easy to work with, always helpful, caring and very friendly.(They set up food trucks to come on site for us). Also having a really good maintenance team on site has been great. Don't really need them often but when you do its typically within the hour, they are very friendly and they get the job done. They have updated a wonderful fitness center recently with plans to do more. Also added huge generator for back up just in case the power goes out they can keep the lights on and the elevators running at all times which is great for the older residents. They also have onsite a feature i never thought of when moving into high rise (carrying groceries). They have carts for residents to use from parking to your front door and its really convenient. Security wise we have a door man and a locked perimeter with the residents able to remotely let guests in via app/front door directory when the door man is out. Doorman who is super friendly and helpful also can sign for/receive packages and the mail is always running same time every day.Pool/Jacuzzi is great. We also have an onsite storage unit which is nice. All in all very quiet place, walking distance to the Short North/Kohls/Food/OSU etc. Major Hospital across the street and just a really good location all around. We love the great balcony views too. No matter wear you live nothing is going to be prefect. But my time here at The Canterbury has been great for my family. I would Recommend to friends.
The only good thing about this place is the location. Everything here is falling apart and management is beyond useless. If you do move in here get a PO box because mail sent is not delivered and bill statements are returned to sender. This is a problem among many residents.

Relocated to Columbus this year due to employment I found The Canterbury to be what I expected. Even though it is an older building it has quite a charm to it. The doorman are wonderful as well as the leasing agents. The entrance area has been remodeled this year and both elevators are new and working fine. Plaza Properties are great and they are doing what they can in remodeling the building and the units. However my unit has not been updated but it is clean, quiet and no insect problems. In fact I have been here now since March 2017 and I am pleased to call this home. The other tenants are polite and respect each others privacy which there is a wide range of ages and cultures here from college students, families to seniors. There are periodically social gatherings allowing everyone to get together and socialize. I have a carport protecting my vehicle from the weather but considering in getting a garage later on. The building is very safe and secured so I feel protected when I decide to take a stroll at night. Overall I believe I chose the right place to live and I have no regrets.
Do not rent here. The elevators have worked on occassion since November of 2016, and one of the them is brand new. The management is rude and uncaring. There are 13 floors, and without an elevator, the elderly residents are often sitting in the lobby waiting for someone to fix the elevator, since it is hit or miss. In my almost two years here, there has not been one time where all the dryers and washers were working. Again, management is not concerned as they are not maintained by Plaza Properties, but they cannot seem to find the courage to tell me who to call to fix them . No air conditioning. Several residents stayed in a hotel last night due to no elevator and unbearable heat
