The Antelope Valley region sits in the northernmost stretches of Los Angeles County. Antelope Valley also constitutes the western portion of the Mojave Desert, located between the Tehachapi, Sierra Pelona, and San Gabriel Mountains, which all lend stunning mountain vistas to the rentals in the region.
Antelope Valley’s largest cities include Lancaster and Palmdale, in addition to a slew of smaller cities and towns that each boast their own unique identity and sense of character. The region’s more affordable cost of living draws plenty of Los Angeles area commuters who don’t mind a longer commute time.
The rental options are just as diverse as the region itself, with an array of apartments, condos, townhomes, and houses available for rent throughout Antelope Valley. Popular spots for outdoor recreation include Angeles National Forest and Castaic Lake State Recreation Area, as well as Greater Los Angeles’ renowned beaches, which are about a two-hour drive away.

Property Ratings at The Cape
Having resided here for the past year, I can confidently say that this apartment complex not only offers great/comfortable living spaces but also provides exceptional customer service, thanks to the outstanding efforts of the apartment manager (Vanessa) and other staff. From the moment I first inquired about available units, Vanessa demonstrated remarkable professionalism and attentiveness. She promptly addressed all my concerns, ensuring a smooth and seamless leasing process. Her knowledge about the property and its amenities was thorough, and they took the time to provide detailed explanations, making me feel confident in my decision to choose this apartment complex. Once I moved in, the apartment manager continued to exceed my expectations. They have consistently displayed a genuine commitment to resident satisfaction, going above and beyond to ensure that any maintenance requests or concerns were promptly addressed. Their responsiveness and efficiency in handling these matters have been truly commendable, contributing to a stress-free living environment. Furthermore, Vanessa's friendly and approachable demeanor has created a warm and welcoming community atmosphere within the complex. They actively organize resident events and foster a sense of belonging, making it easy to connect with neighbors and forge new friendships. The apartment complex itself has a range of amenities. The well-maintained common areas, including the swimming pool, and parking spaces, create a comfortable living environment. The security measures (cameras, working entrance gate) in place have also contributed to my peace of mind, ensuring a safe and secure community. Overall, my experience at The Cape has been nothing short of exceptional. The apartment manager's dedication to providing outstanding customer service has significantly contributed to my positive living experience. I wholeheartedly recommend this apartment complex to anyone seeking a comfortable space with a strong emphasis on resident satisfaction. Thank you to the apartment manager and the entire team at The Cape for their commitment to excellence.
Property Manager at The Cape, Responded To This Review
Thank you for the rave review and special staff shout-out! We will be sure to pass along your kind words to our team. We couldn't be happier that you decided to call The Cape home! Our staff is always happy to help should you ever require any assistance. Feel free to stop by the leasing office or give us a call!
This place Has gotten out of hand with rental prices we have been tenants for the past 6 years and over the past 2 year our rent has doubled, I understand they want to make a profit but if they are going to do that run the place better if rent is going up every year try to work something out with the tenant if they ask for something to be fixed or upgraded Pedro the manager never wants to approve any work done in the complex unless you go at it back and forth that should not be necessary very unprofessional, also the parking has become a big issue people park behind assigned carports and block you although it has been mentioned many times to Pedro the manager over the past year nothing has been done! They charge fees for everything And expects you to comply but won’t bother doing their job on fixing any of the complaints
Property Manager at The Cape, Responded To This Review
Aisling, Thank you for being a valued member of our community and for taking a moment to share your experience with us. We are discouraged to read the cost of living has become a frustration for you as we have been able to remain competitive with the current market rates and other communities in the area. If you are still experiencing issues in your home, we want to know about it so we can correct them. When you have a moment, please stop by the office or give us a call to discuss your concerns. We look forward to speaking with you soon and we hope to turn your experience around.
This complex is improving with its new ownership, however- their customer service is horrible. It takes at least a week to get any issue in the unit to get fixed, and the onsite manager rarely picks up the phone. On top of it all, there are fees for everything. Which was very different from the last company that owned this place. I get it, its new rules, but rent went up 10%, there is now a fee to pay your rent online, because they took away the drop box and the management team is not in office to drop off a check. There is also dog poop everywhere around the building because management does not tell the residents to pick up after them. People are always stealing peoples assigned parking spaces, there are cars always parked on the no park zones blocking ways out, and people who DO NOT HAVE A HANDICAP PASS are ALWAYS parking in HC parking spaces. Also the maintenance team they have is unprofessional, loud and unreliable. Management (Pedro) does close to nothing about noise complaints, issues and has a really bad habit of speaking to the residents in condescending tones. We have been living here for over 2 years, and are now ready to leave the premises due to the lack of ownership and poor management. Unfortunately since the switch, we were forced on a lease which only offered 3,6, and 9 month only- I am sure the rent will go up again when it is time to renew.
While looking for apartments in the Palmdale area I inquired at the management office if thy had any available units. At the time they did not have any available but were still very nice in showing me the apartments and introduced me to the maintenance team who were very polite and explained in detail what they were working on especially, the gentleman in the red pickup truck, Who seemed to know exactly what I was asking about , They took my name and told me that if any became available they would be sure to let me know. They made me feel important enough for the gentleman in the red truck to stop and talk to me face to face. Thank you to the Management Team and the Maintenance guy for taking up his time and not complaining.
This place is a dump management doesnt do anything you call for an apartment issue either they go and see it and dont fix it or they just dont call back also there always driving around in there trucks drinking beers very unprofessional manager is supposed to live on site but she doesnt the grounds are always dirty the gates never close so random people can go in and out as they please the only redeeming quality is the fact that they allow dogs overall i dont advise anybody pay a little extra and get a better apartment
