Do not move here, you will regret it. The location, apartment and amenities are great. But everything else falls short - this should not be considered a luxury high rise for what your paying. If you like smelling illegal substances in the elevators/building, waiting forever for maintenance to show up and enjoy wild parties 24/7 at the pool, then this is the place for you.

Living at The Carter is awesome, the amenities and apartments are worth it 100%. My only comment would be for the leasing team, they need to improve in communication and in the move-in/lease documents signing process.

Love it! Beautiful apartment with phenomenal views at a great rate. This is top notch luxury at an reasonable rate. Staff is super friendly and always willing to help you out. Concierge are well dressed and go above and beyond to help whenever they can. Truly impressed with The Carter and I am excited to be a resident of this community.

This place looks nice and has good features but it’s not having money put in to keep it nice. Garage and elevators break a lot which makes it hard to go in and out. There’s not enough staff to keep this place clean at all times. You pay an amenity fee for literally nothing above and beyond an apartment that doesn’t. The concierge is a package receiver only and now has no way to notify you if they receive something. It’s sad because this place used to be really nice and had valet and a bar tender and seemed clean and safe. That is no longer the case.

My primary reason for moving to The Carter was the area of town, and for security purposes. I truly do feel having a 24-hr concierge is a great asset in keeping residents feeling secure and is a must-have amenity. And knowing the doors automatically lock at a certain time adds to a feeling of security.

Residents here don’t care and management doesn’t either. No masks, park wherever you want (even if it inconveniences others), pay amenity fees to get nothing in return. Pricing is getting better because it’s getting worse here so reconsider. Ask them point blank what the amenity fee gets and you’ll be told what it was before COVID but they’ll still charge you now. Look elsewhere

Avoid the Carter at all costs. The building is beautiful but cost saving is obvious from poor maintenance of the common areas, to amenities, to new less experienced staff.

The carter is an amazing place to live. Natalie was super helpful with the entire process and the residents are super nice. The neighborhood is safe and its super close to everything!
I have nothing positive to stay and I would tell people to stay away. I should have listen to all of the negative comments I read before choosing these apartments but I figured since Im not a person who asks for much it wouldnt really affect me but boy I was wrong.
Great community, clean common areas and units are thought out well. Despite facing US59, the sounds from the highway are minimal and the units are very well sound proofed. Havent used many of the common spaces besides the gym but would consider extending my lease if terms are agreeable.

The neighbors are great! Love that the building is pet friendly. In terms of the amenities like valet parking and concierge, the number of changes in staff has been frustrating and the level of quality in the service they provide has been anything but consistent. We were also frustrated that upon move in our ceiling fan was not working and it took over a month to fix it.
The Carter is a beautiful building in a great location and with a superb staff.
This is my first experience living in a high rise apartment. I love it! And the reason is first: because of the wonderful managers and staff. The building is beautiful, well maintained, and most of the residents are pretty nice too.

It is much too small for dogs to interact/play; this is a key appealing feature of the Hanover Montrose, which I cross-shopped with the Carter. In addition, many of my fellow residents do not pick up after their animals, and apparently there is no monitoring or consequences for this, as the conditions seem to be steadily getting worse. And, even from the low building-occupancy beginning, the area is serviced much too infrequently with water to reduce the urine smell from normal use. At this point, I only take my dogs in there during the worst of rainstorms, so I feel "gypped" by the monthly pet fee. (And I do clean up their poop.) If the area immediately behind the building were surfaced and fenced/gated--with video monitoring--the appeal of this building would be much greater.
