If you're looking for that cozy, small-town feel interspersed with the excitement of a big city, then Wilmington is the place for you. Located in the northern-most portion of Delaware near the Pennsylvania border and close to the city of Philadelphia, PA, Wilmington has plenty to offer no matter what your age or interests. The specific neighborhood of the city that's best for you can vary based on your budget, but some of the more popular neighborhoods include Trolley Square (which is known for its beautiful architecture) and Bradywine Park (which is dotted with lovely parks and nature trails).
If you're the artsy type, you'll love visiting the Delaware Art Museum, located on Kentemere Parkway. Here, you can enjoy viewing work from local and globally known artists ranging anywhere from the mid 1800s to present day. Be sure to visit plenty throughout the year, though, as they're always featuring new exhibits and galleries.

Property Ratings at The Chateau
Love the new upgrades! Very friendly office staff and maintenance men. Nice quiet area!
They changed management in June 2023, and since then everything has went downhill and I had to move - kept seeing roaches everywhere and even had a mouse problem. Whenever I complained to management they said they have pest control come every month and not to worry about it even though whenever they would “come” there would then be a notice that they couldn’t come that day with no rescheduling. the Management was never kind to the people in my building.
As a long-term resident I’ve watched this place slowly decline. I didn’t realize how thin the walls/floors were until most of my neighbors(quiet ones) were gone. You can snoring, intimate moments & conversations as if they were inside your apartment. The new owners removed the carpets and now it sounds like someone’s stomping on your head when walking. The turnover rate is so high, people are bringing roaches and mice from their old apartments. I’ve even heard about the bedbugs in the laundry rooms. It was never like this before.
My Moms apartment keeps flooding, she had to leave 5 days ago and not back yet. The office has not been open, she is 91 so you can imagine how hard this is for her. Management does not care that she's been uprooted from everything she knows! Shameful!!!
Rodents and Pests, No maintenance, Unprofessional Property Management
I’ve had roaches 3 times in 2 months. Water dripping from the ceiling in my kitchen (no one ever reached out about what they did to stop it and left gross water all over my counter. All of this after 2 emergency call center maintenance requests). Counting down the days until my lease ends.
I’ve lived here for a year. The office is very nice and so was my apartment; however, they have an extreme roach problem. I killed roaches everyday of my 12 month lease.

Thank you for taking the time to write such a review. We appreciate you and your residency. Happy Living.
Very glad I moved here decided between two apartment places. The other one was more expensive and not as nice. Move here.
Moved here one year ago, Nice well run apartments.. Nice kitchen, big closets, good location . Would recommend
Office staff is very friendly and helpful. Have lived here a few years now and like the peace and quiet of the area. Maintence is quick. Big apts. for the price and pet friendly too!
I currently reside here. While the lady in the office is nice, her hand are tied when it comes to certain residents. There is a man here whom let's his dogs run loose, and they almost knocked over my sister when she was here visiting. This man and his dogs must be stopped!!!thinking of contacting the humane society.
The office management are the nicest people I have ever dealt with!
Nice place but could just use some major updates. Get rid of the 60's bathrooms, tubs, toilets, floors and tiles.....just use white and put new kitchen floors down....floors are very out dated. Then they should turn the air conditioning units so the hot exhaust air does not blow on you and you can sit and enjoy the balconies. If your going to raise the rent, do some updating and owners should clean up after their dogs outside. Quiet setting otherwise. Nice lady in the rent office.

As new owners we have made changes that are for the great good of our residents and future residents. We have recently added a resident only dog park, horse shoe courts and so much more. We are thrilled with our local management team as they are constantly looking to improve the property amenities and opportunities based on resident feedback and market opportunities. More exciting things to come- Like the opening of our new Fitness Studio in the Fall of 2020!
